Just Reminder

There seems to be intention or ill design in the management of the critical monthly reminder function. When one dismiss a reminder, there is no profoundly clear way to know if you dismissed just one event in a series, or the whole dang series... extremely frustrating. It needs to be more profusely clear.

the same here, the backup/restore option is gone on one phone (redmi 9pro MIUI12) but not my other phone (redmi 8T MIUI12). Just reminder should has this storage permission "Allow management of all files" (to read/write) NOT "allow access to media only". 24/05 2022: after a factory reset (due to other issues) , the backup/restore option is back with the right permission. I have tried 6 apps, this is the best one due to local backup and a clear/simple/logic/easy design. THANK YOU.

Backup and restore option removed. What a mess. It is good application before the update. Now latest update don't have any backup and restore option. Very funny

I've been using this app for years, and it has saved me from forgetting important thing more times than I can count. However it might be time to switch to a new app. For the past few months, my reminders have been randomly snoozed by the application, meaning I don't see a reminder unless I open the app. This makes it practically unusable, since the entire point is to get a notification at the time I set it for.

It was a nice application untill it have back up and restore option. Now this option is removed so now this application is not useful as it was.

It is OK, but it doesn't have option to switch off and on the alarm, only delete or reschedule possible. Sometimes If it's a recurring one, it automatically change to next time after passing the first occurrence. Despite having dismissed the alarm on due date it shows up next day also and rings. Why? I have sent a email but didnt get any feedback or update for the applicatiin. The developer Lost interest? In recurring "upto date" is not checked for correctness.

Hi Guys I have just reloaded Just Reminder after changing phones, and was having the same problem that a few on here have experienced with the alerts not sounding when phone is in lock screen. Here is the solution that worked for me. This is for Android phones. Go to Settings-Apps-Just Reminder-Battery-Optimise battery usage and make sure this is switched OFF. If you can't see Just Reminder in Optimise battery usage, select the drop down arrow to show all. Only leaving 3 stars for now, will adjust up or down in a few months after using app. Hope this helps guys.

Excellent app. It started working again after I factory reset my phone and removed battery restrictions.

To all the people that can't get the alarm to sound follow these instructions. Go into Settings-Apps-Just Reminder-Battery-Optimise Battery Usage and make sure this is switched off. This took me ages to sort out. The Battery Usage is saving power therefore not letting the app sound. Best reminder app on the Play Store. All this hassle because I changed phones. Problem solved.

Great app. Only thing is if like the option to choose snooze directly from the notification.

This App is great. Since downloading and using it, I have not forgotten to complete my tasks, because I was allowed to customize the notification sound to what I like. It is very user-friendly and the lay-out of the inputted tasks is very easy to read and find. What I don't like is the numerous pop-up ads. Also, the App does not allow the usage of the "call" category, yet it is visible for usage. If those two things can be corrected, this would be the best App I've used.

Used to be great. I've used this for years and the newest updates have destroyed the app. It won't stay on "silent" alarms (consider that issue for a moment), and the notification that the app is running is constantly on the screen. I've fixed the alarms twice but they keep going back to sounds. I tried reinstalling the app, and didn't fix issues. *Update: just uninstalled the app. Several weeks later, it won't even show a reminder at all. All permissions are turned on. Useless.

This is the best reminder app for getting my attention. It's easy to customize the ring, the volume, the length of vibration, and the repeats by years, months, weeks, days or minutes! Other apps are so monotonous that I tune them out. I'm happy to upgrade because it's totally worth it. My only wish is for an automatic backup that would be accessible from my new phone. (Developer, please respond!)

Great AP. extremely easy to use. love the fact that you can pick your alarm tone. Easy to make modifications and adjustments to programmed reminders. would have given 5 stars, but everytime you open it or make modification, it requests access to information on your phone,which you are given option to decline. not sure why they need so much phone access.

It was great, gave it 5 stars, not sure what happened but it rarely works, talking alarm or sound. I also uninstalled and reinstalled set up few reminders to test, still not working. The only way to get it to work if s if I set the reminder to go off with 5 minutes or so. This was a great app with it's talking alarm option. I hope they get it fixed.

Prior to the update, this app was phenomenal. The update made it awful and even after a week there's been no reply at all from my messaging the developer. Now every time you make a reminder you have to remember to select a sound effect. But even if you miss the sound effect, the app will not leave any notification on your screen that you missed a reminder. That doesn't matter either because once you miss a reminder it has no Identifying mark in the list to give you a heads up. 🙄

After having used this app for several years with great success, it has unfortunately become unusable after my update to Android 10. The alarms are now truncated and the pop-up reminders (which are absolutely essential for me and what I most liked in the app) no longer work. I have communicated with the developer but unfortunately have gotten no response. Now I'm forced to find replacement. Sorry, can't recommend.

It won't send me notifications or alarms. I had this app for years on other phones. I had a bit of phone swapping for a while and then finally got a galaxy note 8 and remembered this app. I was excited to get it and get life organised again but....it just doesn't work. No matter what I do and with all I've googled as well as deleting it and downloading it again but it still doesn't work. Do you have to leave it open or do something special or is it a bug?? Want it to work again! It was the best

Umm .. what happened? After the last update 1/12/20 alarms no longer happen. I love this app but it isn't much good anymore if it doesn't remind me of anything. I messed around trying to figure out why, and each time a reminder should happen, there are no alarms or notifications anymore, just a notification dot, and when I open the app, it had just gone into snooze mode by default. Hope this is fixed quickly.

Update: Just moved to an Android 10 phone and cannot figure out for the life of me how to get the Just Reminder screen to come up when an alarm goes off, rather than it just being the alarm sound and a listed notification. Pre-alarms are the most important aspect of a reminder app for me. They have to be annoying, real alarms set at any time I need. Not a quiet notification I could miss. This app isn't perfect but it has an excellent pre-alarms feature. EDIT: Two things I'd add. 1. Wish it had a calendar. 2. Wish it wouldn't hop back to start of list when you edit a reminder.

I find this app very useful, especially as it can use text to speech. However I find it frustrating that while you can backup, when you restore the pictures set with each reminder are not restored and so have to be manually added back. Recently moving to a 2019 released phone I now find if I turn off or restart the phone the images are lost similar to restoring a backup. The only difference is if you have the same image on multiple reminders restoring it to one, restores it to the others.

Very good speaking alarm. Never failed me. But I can't figure out how to get it to also send an SMS. I put in the phone number but nothing happens. Could use some help with that. Also suggest more scheduling options, for example, every other day/week, third Monday each month, and so forth, but this app is very useful without those options.

I loved this app until my phone was upgraded to Android 10. Since then, the auditory alarm function fails to make a sound, and the app goes into snoozed mode. For me, it is useless unless I hear the reminder. Oddly, if the app is open and displaying on the screen, the reminder alarm sounds as programmed. I emailed the developer many many days ago about this, but never received a reply or any indication that the issue is being addressed. Fix app or issue refund. App is worthless now.

Very helpful, especially for ADHD When I had an iPhone, I used an app called Alarmed. It is not available for Android. The critical feature that I was looking for is for reminders that require ACTION - either being dismissed or or snoozed. (Not passive ones, like most notifications, where they just pop-up and remain in your list of 50 other notifications from your phone) Also, the notifications will auto-snooze at an interval of your choosing in case you are away from your phone. It's critically helpful for me because it helps me be sure that I won't forget important tasks. I can honestly say it actually reduces my stress. Love this app!

Used to be the best alarm app. I don't know what happened but it stopped working. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and set all the rights correctly and made sure to not have it in the list of optimized apps etc etc and it just doesn't work. It loads and shows the GUI and allows you to configure the alarms but the alarms just don't happen at all, not even in the notifications.
