I'm using this app to begin my running training and I'm loving it, every day I see the running/walking layout and I think I'm going to have a really hard time, especially on Monday's when it's a new week. But I surprise myself everytime. This app has been perfect for me so far. I will admit I did struggle in the beginning and had to walk a bit of the last part. I've just completed week 3 and can successfully complete the entire workout. I'm 140 kgs, do with that info what you will :) great app!!
*This* is how you make a free version of an app. Full functionality and no intrusive ads for free, and the paid version has optional extras that could be useful but aren't totally necessary to get what you need. So many apps that are similar to each other can't seem to agree on what "basic" or "premium" means. Just Run does. Take notes, gentlemen.
I've tried several different running apps over the years and none of them compare to this one. The fade in/out of my own music for instructions is perfect, I love the minimalist UI, and the premium features aren't necessary for function (but it's only $2.50, well worth it just to support this awesome app). Fingers crossed I'll actually stick to running now!
I made it! I'd never run in my life. Some of the intervals are daunting at first, but I really found my own rhythm with running and now do a solid 5km run in 30 minutes four times a week! Even better that I could use the app for free and pay once I was comfortable with the process and could see it delivering what I needed. The voice prompts really help. All in all - no frills, just results. 10/10
I never leave reviews for apps, but this one deserves it. Never would've thought I'd be able to run for 30 minutes straight but this app helped me do it. It has good structure and planning. It's all very simple and understandble. It'll downplay your music for a little bit when giving updates and there are no ads. Of you're looking for an app to start running: this is the one!
Been using this app for three weeks now and am impressed so far. It's simple and to the point, laying out which days to run, the intervals for each day, and even includes tips/encouragement for workouts. I don't have to take my phone out of my pocket to mess with the app once the timer is started. There's even a useful feature that tells me when I'm halfway done and can head back on my route. I don't plan to run a 5k, but this app makes doing some cardio more obtainable in general.
Fantastic app. Does what it's meant to do, with no distractions and unnecessary upselling. If the dev is reading reviews, I have one feature request: make audio announcements of how long each run/walk segment is so I don't have to look at my phone. "Start running" -> "Start running for five minutes" and nothing more.
This app is rad, it helped me get started and not feel like garbage. Plus NO ADS! Super stoked about this app. The only thing I wish I could change would be an option to add a little extra time to a workout. Got done with my timed run but had a ways to go on the trail.
Very simple and effective! Love the "halfway done, turn around" voice prompt. Making real progress and paid for premium just to support the developer not because it even needs any more features then it already has.
Love the versatility of this app. Plays well with music, easy to toggle trainer voices on or just get vibrations when it's time to run/walk. Other similar apps had too many ads or weird functions that made them difficult to use, especially when running.
Best app I have used for trying to run. Notifications during are excellent and no annoying pop ups. I was using music player and map my run while also using this app and everything worked exactly as expected.
I love this app. It's easy to use, no ads, and doesn't interfere with any other apps on my phone. It automatically updates based on your current progress (if you skip a workout) without judgment.
2020: This app is perfect. I greatly appreciate the auditory cues, the positive encouragement, and simplicity of use. I never, ever thought I'd be able to run for long periods of time! Update 3/24/22: Still love it.
I really love this app, obviously there are a lot of zero to 5k apps out there, but this one has no ads like a lot of others. But what really puts it over the edge for me is the blurbs written for each workout. They feel so encouraging and personal!
This is the perfect app for minimalist run training. No fluff. Just your timer, your "daily" tracker, and a boice telling you when to do what. Absolutely worth it. I throw spotify on in the background and get through it.
I am so thankful for this app. I have tried other apps but was unsuccessful. The run walk schedule was perfect for me. I can't believe I can jog for 30 plus minutes now without stopping. This app has made my dream a reality.
Exactly what a c25k app and free app should be. Simple and to the point without being annoying. Purchased full version (first app ever paid for) PURELY in support of a clean and well designed app without ad harassment.
Great!!!!! So easy to use and makes it easy for an amateur like me. On week 3, had to repeat week 2 due to illness. But I really look forward to going for my run. Cant wait to finish knowing that I'll be running 5km.
Great app! Super easy to use and I love how the voice telling you to walk/run comes through my music! No more looking at the clock.
This is the most "clean" and useful app of its kind. There are no ads, simple, just works. I bought the premium version just to support its developer.

The workouts are fantastic and the tool is simple and effective. Can't praise it enough. If you're looking to get into running, this is the app for you
No ads. Run/walk intervals are signaled by voice. Vibration not working but not a big deal for me.
Enjoyed the app lets you repeat sessions if you're not ready to move on to a longer run. Took me a little over 3 months to complete
Its amazing app. And it could be even more user friendly if you guys can make it compatible with samsung smartwatch
Fantastic app. After so many attempts to get back into running (I'm now 51), this app has enabled me to do so. Something about the simplicity, inherent kindness and confidence that is conveyed by the little intro passages has made it possible for me to push through the agony of getting running fit. I will definitely try the 5-10k once I've completed the initial program (now on week 6).
