Absolutely loved this app until it got stuck backing up my data. The backup sync starts automatically, and there is no option to turn it off. This same thing has happened multiple times in the past, but it usually resolves itself a few hours later. This time it was stuck for 3 days, so I got fed up and uninstalled the app. I decided to give it another chance a few hours later, and now it's saying there is a server error and won't even let me log in. 5 stars if the glitch gets fixed.
Love everything except the back up delays.... Please fix back up issue!! So many times I've forgotten to put my tips in because when I try, it just gets stuck on "backing up data to cloud", and it gets stuck like that for days! Isnt there a better way, to program it periodically so it doesn't try to back up while you're trying to use it during the day. I've tried opening up the app for 4 days now, and it never let's me in the app. It's stuck on backing up data and won't open. Please update!!!
Amazing app but lately I haven't been able to access it at all! It's stuck on the "exporting to cloud" popup without any way to bypass it. Problem still occurring after uninstalling and the updated. Update. After reaching out to customer service and receiving a generic "we're working on it", it is now 5 weeks later and the problem is still occurring.
Changing my review to 1 because I haven't been able to access the app in over a month. Keeps stalling on the 'backup to cloud' screen. Have contacted the developers and they keep sending the same message saying that 'they are sorry for the outages last week and the app is up and running' when it clearly isn't. More than that, these outages happen EVERY WEEK. This is completely unacceptable.
ive had this app for a few months now, and it was great at first. now i've been locked out of it, keeps saying server error, try again momentairly. I've been trying for 4 days. it doesn't matter what device either. I've deleted and re installed, still cant access my account. I'll probably delet it at the end of the week if it doesnt start to work. try another tip tracker.
I love the way this app works. Very easy to use. My one hangup is that it gets stuck backing up info to the Cloud. I have tried contacting them about it but, as you can tell by the reviews they aren't very concerned about fixing this. It seems this is the one review they consistently do not respond to. Yet, I keep using it. I just go to a different device when it gets stuck.
The app worked great for the first 2 months of use...for the last week however, there is a problem every time I open it. A message that reads "exporting tip data to your cloud backup" is all that shows up. I've tried closing and reopening the app. I've tried restarting my phone. I've even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Nothing has worked. 2 months of logged tips is now gone.
The app is free and pretty amazing. Only serious downside is that for the past week it has been trying to back up to the cloud. I have not been able to get into the app at all. It is a shame, I can't see my past information much less add additional information, just stuck on the back up screen. I hope they get the kink fixed soon.
Have used this app for years. However here recently I keep getting stuck in a backing up screen. To the point I have to uninstall and reinstall. I have a long record of tips I do not want to lose. Unless the backing up problem is fixed I will be finding a new app come January 1st. Update: App has not been fixed. Switching over to ServerLife
good app with good functionality but it frequently stays stuck attempting to connect to the cloud server. As a result i haven't been able to use the app in more than 3 days. That's really annoying and i wish the cloud sync came after you loaded the app up, instead of at the beginning. Edit: I'm changing my rating to 1 * because I haven't been able to login in weeks. this app is useless and nonfunctional because of its own features
I loved this app for the short time I got to use it (literally 3 days/shifts at most). But for the past few days, every time I open the app, it gives me an "Exporting Data to Cloud Backup" message. I never approved this, and uninstalling to reinstall isn't helping with the issue. Looks like I'm going to have to begin using another tip tracker.
Update: I did enjoy using this app. However, the last 3 days it has been stuck in the "backup" mode. I have unistalled and reinstalled twice. I have restarted my phone, as well. Now I just want my data for the beginning of the year so I can record my tips manually. Too bad you can not fix this bug. This was a great app once upon a time.
I've been using this app for two and a half years. I had never had problems with it, sometimes it would take a while to load but over all I loved the app, that is, until last week. The app wouldn't load for an entire week. I tried everything from reporting the issue, to uninstall and reinstalling the app. Today it worked! I was so thrilled! Then I realized all my past info was gone, except for the first month I started entering my tips. I tried to restore the data in the app and nothing changed.
It's great when it works, but it only works three days out of the week because of the long back up time. Also, for whatever reason the android version doesn't give you what you made hourly for a given shift like the iPhone version does. I havent been able to use this app for 2 weeks because everytime I try to open it it's "backing up to the cloud"
It'd be an easy 5 if it wasn't stuck backing up to the cloud. Been doing it for over an hour now. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, clearing data, and force stopping. With that, I wouldn't mind being able to enter the tip outs I do. Sometimes I tip out a total of 25%, other times 20%, maybe 15%. That number is a variable based on the support staff working, and the strength of business during the on and off seasons. Can you separate the wage and tips? I make work in a decently sized place where my lunch shift could be an hourly position in the kitchen, then I could be working dinner at a different hourly while being tipped as a food runner, then to work a cocktail shift after dinner service and get almost no hourly but as a tipped server
This app died out on me once before, so I gave it the benefit of the doubt, this time it just has the spinning circle and says itnis downloading to the cloud. It has been days since that and I cannot get on it. 8 have been keeping records on a hard copy calander, but in pretty bummed this app is failing again. So much information that I've input im sure I'm going to lose.
Better on the iPhone when I first started using this app in March 2019. I was happy that I could get it on my new Galaxy S10+, but it has a different layout and is slow at loading. There are times where I will wait 10+ minutes for it to open up to the screen where I can enter my tips. It says "Exporting tip data to your cloud backup / Please wait - your data is being backed up"
I've been using this app for a few years now and haven't any issues until recently. I haven't been able to open the app because, it's been "exporting tip data to your cloud backup. Please wait your data is being backed up" on and off for 9 months now. I can't access any information and have income that is not entered and zero access to years of income info. So frustrating!! Why does it need to back up to the cloud anyway? Can this be fixed? 🤞🤞
I loved this app right up until just after the first of the year, (2019) since then it's been updating...for weeks...like 9...I downloaded another app but it looks like I'm going to lose my history. I can't even uninstall. When I looked to see if it needed upgrading, it isn't listed in my app folder.
I use to Love this app, but now it keeps saying its syncing to my cloud backup. All the time!! I cant get it to work at all for over a week and a half now. I've had this app for over two years now and would hate to loose all my data and all my records I've kept. I've seen all the other reviews and other people seem to be having similar problems also. I dont want to uninstall it and loose everything, if it will come back?? Is there any hope???
I like being able to store my info and how simplistic it is. However, about once a month when I open the app it gets stuck on the backing up data wheel for 3-4 days. It is not my phone because none of my othe apps act up like that and it stays stuck even after restarting my phone. Just super annoying.
Love this app and it worked great for a long time but the past few months I can't even get into it because it's "exporting your tip data to the cloud". Literally only works 2 or 3 days a week and it's infuriating. Anyone know how to fix this bc I like this model better than other apps I've tried
great ad-free app. at least it was until you get locked out with their server issues unable to export your data to their cloud. if they could solve this and keep it solved (as opposed to how it went back up for almost a week and now it's down again) I'd give it five stars. until then it gets 2 since it's not riddled with ads like every other app.
