JW Library Sign Language
Watch the Bible and other video publications in sign language. Download them to your mobile device so that you can watch them when you are not connected to the Internet. Enjoy the colorful images, simple navigation, and easy-to-use controls.
FEATURES:
- Simple Navigation. The Bible page lets you watch the New World Translation books that have been released. You can also watch individual verses that have not yet been released as part of the New World Translation but have been signed as part of other publications. The Library page displays other publications and movies that are available on jw.org.
- Quickly Look Up Cited Scriptures. While you are watching a video publication, swipe from the left edge of the screen to open the navigation drawer. The video will pause and you can tap the Bible button. Navigate to the cited Scripture and watch it. Using the navigation drawer, go back to the Library page to resume watching the original video.
- Easily Download Videos. The videos that you have not downloaded appear with dimmed colors. Tap a video to start downloading it from jw.org. Tap the Download All button to download all the videos on the page. Long press (tap and hold) a video to delete it from your device.
- Manage Space. You can choose whether to download larger (higher-quality) or smaller (lower-quality) videos. If your device has an SD card slot, you can choose whether to download videos to your device or to the SD card.
- Easy-to-Use Video Player. Use these simple gestures to control the video playback: -
- Two-finger tap: Play or pause the video. -
- Swipe left: Skip to the next marker. -
- Swipe right: Skip to the previous marker. -
- Single tap: Show or hide player controls.

The app is totally a cannot-do-without in the sign language field and I am very thankful for all the hard work put into it to make it so efficient. However, I noticed after the last update that the screen sleeps while a video is playing. This is so inconvenient because while teaching a student, I have to keep touching the screen to keep it awake. Please, kindly make an update for the screen to stay awake during a video.
Wonderful tool. appreciate all the features. Playlist feature is very useful for Bible Studies. Thank you so much for that. Would it be possible to add an image( for example a downloaded image) as well to the playlist? Thank you for adding the feature i requested. So happy to be able to add images in the playlist. Very good and intuitive App makes the meetings interesting and easy to operate. However, I noticed a glitch. Everytime I click on the song icon and select a song that has been previously downloaded it shuts down the" ENTIRE" I wonder why? Please look into this. Great work brothers
It is an excellent app. Very helpful and easy to use. Thank you for your efforts. Please can you update the app so that some frequently or recently used languages can be on top of the language list? Also, it will be appreciated if the current language someone is using can display on top of the opened publication. Lastly, it will be very helpful to have history tab enabled. Thanks once again for your good work.
After the last update, the app changed its behaviour. Video will play background even if the phone is locked. When changing chapter marker, it will show up in screen, that distract the video. Please fix these bugs. Thanks
Compared another Sign Language Bible app. No comparison. This app's translations (I've tried American, Colombian, Indian, and Russian) are clear, respectful, have lots of material (even movies), and nice features like links to references. In-app glitches are uncommon on the devices I use. Thanks much. Keep up the good work.
I want to express my gratitude for this app....I have been using it for years and it has been just a wonderful gift from Jehovah! It has really made my ministry such a joy. I especially love the link to the scriptures. If I could make a small suggestion? I would love a search option....especially when looking for videos. Also if when we show the video, if the cursor could disappear. I know I might be cheeky in asking....but just a suggestion :)
I love the app but. It seems to have stopped working I have a Samsung 8 and the app won't open it just keeps crashing. Please fix soon so I can study and use it in service. Thanks for all that you brothers do!
When using app on Samsung Tab S (SM-T800) and try to download entire Bible, it displays that there is not enough storage space. But I have a new 64gb memory card that they are set to download to and those warning messages still appear, even though the chapters still download and can be opened. Please fix this.
I love this sign language app! I think for beginners trying to learn, audio should be added to the Bible verses with the interpreter. I think a download all button would be nice to have. The last suggestion, is that if there were a way to have brothers and sisters register or sign up with a login, it would be less of a hassle in case we needed to delete & redownload the app and then we can just log in with things downloaded already; would be great to have this with ALL of the jw apps.
Excellent app, but keeps crashing every time when you go to publications after the first time you use it after downloading. The only way to get it to way to view publications is to add them to a playlist straight after you download the app, then view them through the playlist.
This is truly terrific. To be able to help those who are hearing impaired to be able to learn about the bible, Jehovah and his promises for us is truly wonderful!!! All the sign language videos of the Bible and all the other publications that are currently available are well done and ever so helpful. Thank you for all the hard work that went into creating these wonderful sign language videos with Jehovah's help and guidance.
Handy and Üseful in helping the hearing impaired to learn about the Bible and know Jehovah God and his Son Jesus.💕 (John 3:16).
Fantastic - Two finger pause is an invaluable option, but often (about 50% of the time in my case) adds a skip to next or previous chapter, which does not make it that effective.
I have a problem using the app. The videos won't download and the list of languages does not appear. Please help me as soon as possible because I need it for my personal study and preaching. Warm regards.
This app is super easy to use. You only download what you need so you don't want memory on videos you won't use! That's great when you have a phone with limited memory
Detailed bible information with understandable sign language helps everyone to know more about what God's word want to share with us. Uplifting and inspirational videos for everyone is also available. Very good app.
It is so amazing all the hard work that the brothers put into this app each scripture in the whole Bible has been translated into American Sign Language Russian sign language Indian sign language Japanese sign language and many other languages I won't spoil the rest you got to download the app and check it out for yourself but such beauty in the such a expressive language it's just phenomenal all the hard work I so appreciate it thanks to Jehovah! 😊🌏🌎🌍
I have a child that is deaf and that is on the Autism Spectrum Disorder. I wanted to teach her the Bible and Bible stories. Since I'm new at sign language, This app is easier to follow for us ,and helpful when I'm teaching her to love and appreciate Jehovah.
It doesn't show anything that i can download. All the publication is missing. I tried to install and re install it for how many times but still the same issue re occurs
great app for non verbal people , the jw library offers broadcasts for meetings and conventions , all available magazines going back years , everything you need in 1 app . the app helps the non verbal to connect with others in a way they couldnt do before , this is something the jw community has now put into place so being able to reach out to more people , the jw library offers soo much not only the bible but you get access to thousands of backdated publications , watch services and videos
This app is user friendly and well translated. Really excellent for beginners as well as experienced Signers. Love the Sign speed feature!
It's since long time I'm in Jehovah's Witness on Sept. 6, 2005, I was baptized on April 25, 2009 at Belleville, Michigan, & I'm really I love it to learn many different Bibles, Bible videos, & Kingdom Halls anywhere.😁
The Bible has accessed our sign language. The Bible can help your and my life better... (2 Timothy 3vs16 :- All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness..) The Bible gift me from Jehovah. I thank Jehovah and Jesus Christ...
Thank you so much for this app. I am improving my sign with the help of this app. I want to express my thanks to brothers and sisters who work hard for peruvian sign. I am from Myanmar but I always enjoy learning from peru sign. In the meantime, we all are very glad to be able to learn Myanmar Sign language from this recently updated app. May Jah bless you all a million for your sacrifice.
I am interested in LEARNING sign language, so that I might be able to communicate with non-english speaking people &, even with English-speakers who have trouble understanding me, maybe because I talk so low, too fast, or, because I have been told I have a lisp. This app seems to be for people who already know sign language. I didn't study it much, yet.
Love love love it!!! Everything downloads so fast, no problem when there's no wifi (my data works fine), and I also like how everything is organized. Easy to navigate.
