I like the app and use it daily, however, can the password in the settings allow copy and paste, please? With various email accounts and in- and outgoing servers and the security requirement to change passwords regularly, practicing typing here is a VERY tedious task. Thanks.
Used to be a decent email client. But since last week, IMAP sync stopped working, so it is now useless. The app has not been updated in a long time, and the developer behind it seems out of business. Shame.
update, THANK YOU 1gravity LLC for what once was a very nice email app. Now down to 1 star: email from Google today: "Although you don’t need to take any action, we wanted to let you know that the following third-party apps will no longer be able to access some data in your Google Account, including your Gmail content. This change will go into effect starting March 31, 2019.. We are making this change as part of ongoing efforts to make sure your data is protected and private. These apps haven’t yet complied with our updated data privacy requirements announced on October 8, 2018." Older review: Would previously have rated this 5 stars, now no better than 2. I used this app for years b/c it performed well, had plenty of features and functionality that I liked. Recently, fetching from / syncing with gmail accounts has been unreliable. App is apparently no longer supported (last update July 2016, website has no content, developer no longer responds to email).
This once great app which I paid good money for has been abandoned by the developer. It has not been updated for just shy of 3 years and there are mamy bugs. Worse is that due to outdated security layer libraries, it now cannot connect to gmail at all. This should not be sold any longer as it is unfit for purpose.
I'm sad to say, after years of using K-@Mail Pro, 1Gravity seems to have abandoned it? I'm getting no reply from them via email (!), their website is abandoned since 2016 (!), and Google won't allow the app to access my Gmail because of security problems. Anyone know a good alternative?
ABANDONED APK. No longer works with Gmail and other email sites. API's used are basically obsolete making the APK useless. EFFECTIVE 31 MARCH 2019 This App will no longer work as Google has restricted access to Gmail because it no longer complies with Google privacy and security requirements. It's too bad no one took up continued development. This was a very good email client. K9Mail, from which k@mail originated is one viable alternative. Development of this APK ended in July 2016.
it's a shame that the dev doesn't reply to the request for updates. Apparently that this app is a security risk. I guess it's time to move on. I started with k9 email, then this one, always try to stick with paid email app so to avoid the ads.
Until few weeks ago this was my favorite email app. Now because of this i lost my job... It is NOT send attachments no more BEWARE! I own the pro version. And starting today i can't login to Gmail anymore!
Used to be very good but no real development in a while. It also no longer works with Gmail, which for me is the tipping point. Time to find a new email client.
This app has not been updated in a long time and now fails to work with various providers including gmail. This simply should not be on sale any longer as it is unfit for purpose.
paid for the pro version, use to work, does not anymore... seems to be the trend with this app... where nothing is fixed anymore...
Unimpressed with the decline in quality. this app used to be pretty good. i regret paying for it now. I won't be using this app any more.
Hello, k-mail, I have more than years. But there are two weeks, we could not even send documents. So far it has been the most favorite program for me.
It is good but limits the number of emails you can display in your inbox.
widget not updating in latest android update. From good the app has become worst.
It used to be great. Do not bother with it now. It's completely useless. Use K9 mail instead.
Excellent next update there should be Yahoo mail and gmail should be added
a welcomedand straightforward approach to elegant email
Love it, been using for years
once was good, now second rate
Last updated in 7/2016, so sad this app is totally abandoned. Reported a bug years ago (can't paste an email address into the send to email address field) to developer and seller has been rude on the 2 emails back to me and still has not resolved this issue.
EDIT 2020: No longer syncing email. Not working. It's a shame. I used K-9 Mail on my previous devices, as it was the best comparing to all other mail apps. But on my Galaxy S4 I wanted something as good as K-9 but with all taking advantage of the new devices and Android version. Once again I tested ProfiMail, AcquaMail and many others, and even stuck with the pre-installed Samsung one for a while. But having found K-@ Mail, I found what I needed
I have used this app for a number of years now & was very happy with it. It worked perfectly with OpenKeyChain PGP which suits me as I deal with lots of confidential information in my profession and therefore in my email too. Since the recent update this app no longer works with OpenKeyChain; recipients receive a blank email! I have emailed the developers about they issue but they didn't bother to respond. I have just installed K-9 mail again as it has declared compatibility with OpenKeyChain so I can again send digitally signed & encrypted email. Sorry to have to uninstall K-@ Mail Pro from my phones & tablets.
The app is still unstable when running on a Galaxy S7 running 6.0.1 it does not handle syncing well, it takes MINUTES when trying to do something. It is still a bit buggy when trying to set up Gmail accounts also. We have 3 accounts for our family, 1 went in automatically and the other two fail. Not only do they fail auto setup they fail manual setup also. I know the settings are correct because they work fine with another app.
Try it, try all of them I did. I manage 3 accounts with this app Gmail, Hotmail,Ymail always works and I have it on 4 devices Nvidia tablet, Moto X, HTC spare phone ONDA brand tablet & Bluestacks. I have the latest version no issues ever at all. used to be upset I couldn't use in windows but Bluestacks solved that. Update 2019, Google just sent that K-@ will no longer be supported by Gmail after March 31st. Some kind of compliance issue. Devastating as this is my primary email client.
For a few years, K-@ Mail Pro (paid version) was my favorite e-mail app. However, recently I encountered a problem where the app wasn't auto-checking for incoming mail, even though my app setting was to poll for mail every 5 minutes and all other phone settings are correct. I reached out to tech support at 1gravity LLC. I received an automated response that my support request was received. After about a week, I reached out to them again, but have received absolutely response from them. With any app that I use, being able to get support from the developer is important, but apparently 1gravity LLC doesn't care about it's paying customers. As a result, I am looking for a different e-mail package. Very disappointed with 1gravity.
It seems to work perfectly on my Samsung tab 2. It's much better than anything else I've tried. 8/25/17 update: for the last few weeks the app has been crashing regularly, and is becoming useless. An email to the developer asking if the app is still supported didn't receive any response. As it now stands, I'm looking for a replacement.
I am using this application for several years, and I was very satisfied. Lately, the app is woking slowly and making errors all the way. Several times in the day it shutdowns, I've sent many reports and didn't received any feedback.
Purchased the pro version some years ago and it was the best mail app. However, it seems to have been abandoned by the developers and now fails to meet google security requirements. So it does NOT work with gmail and fails to work reliably with most other emails. Forced me to uninstall and go elsewhere.
Lack of attention kills it for me. The "less secure" access method for Gmail means I can't use it with that service after March 2019. There have been months of warning that this was coming, but no comment from the developers. I just got the final notice from Google. It's a shame, since it's been great functionally until now.
