KAIT Region 8 News

I take it back, I tried to say something nice but KAIT deserves nothing. They are currently posting a forecast of a weather warning which is actually yesterday's news but it's too much trouble to put a simple timestamp on it so we can't be sure. It's time to remove this useless app from my life. Plus, getting to any potential useful news in here is a nightmare because of the ads and long commercials. USELESS!

Too jumbled-up, have to go thru way too many ads to find and read or see stories. And stories are usually not in chronological order, so it's hard to tell what is new news, and what is old news.

It has become almost impossible to open and is also becoming impossible to update plus they have gone to more ad's than news. I guess they would make an excellent advertisement app because they are sure going backwards with the News app

The new app is not user friendly. It's like trying to make your way out of a haunted maze to find anything. Where's a simple weather app with a simple radar? You have to search for that, too. Click to read a news story, and a video usually starts. I don't have to hear a story; I can read and prefer to do so in most cases. If, by chance, I click on a story without an irritating video, the screen goes blank. This app is a disaster.

I get a notification and my cursor just spins. Very irritating.

Terrible app. Even if it actually loads and opens, all the ads make it useless. When I can actually FIND a local news story to read instead of an ad story or clickbait, it won't load. Push the back button to return to the list of "news" stories and it goes back to the main title page so I can AGAIN choose to look at 2 local news stories and 15 clickbait ads. Its like your channeling your studio/station abilities to this useless app. ANDROID GALAXY NOTE ULTRA

Doesn't wanna work half the time and when it does it'll work in wide-screen for about 10 seconds and then it reverts to the tiny screen. Also how many times do I need to watch a pepeto bismol ad I watched 3 of the same ad in a row and then when it finally finished I got a video can't load.

Ads are too invasive, makes searching through articles unpleasant. This update was forced on me as the old app wouldnt display news until the update was installed. Its buggy and slow, page moves upwards as ads load in and makes you click on articles you werent trying to because the page moved. Fire your app developer they made garbage.

I never thought a News App could get any worse, but Ch. 8 did it! Absolutely harder to navigate, and stories disappear in the middle of reading them. Horrible, simply horrible. I'd give negative stars if I could.

The user face is even worse since updating the app. Hard to navigate. And Region 8 has increasingly become biased in how they word news articles. I don't leave many bad reviews but please, simplify the app and make it better.

Since there update/new app, it's just horrible. Can't get it to open, page goes blank, to many adds. Never see any updates on new news. Wish they would go back to the old app.

Love Channel 8 for keeping us informed, especially during storms.

Slow. Then slower. To many ads. I have to hunt the news because of all the ads. Seriously considering deleting the app and getting my news elsewhere.

This last update was awful. It was better before the update. Too many ads, slow as molasses. The breaking update notification gets sent to the phone 5 times.

Do not like the annoying full screen Gamble ad when the app is opened. Takes forever for the app to open now too. More ads than news now.

Video play only works once, then never again.

The best part is that it's local information !!! "THIS VERY INFORMATIVE CHANNEL IS,.... VERY IMPORTANT TO KEEP THEIR COMMUNITY,.. ALWAYS, UP TO DATE, EVERY SECOND OF THE DAY".!! I'VE BEEN AROUND THE WORLD, AND, CHANNEL 8 IS DEFINITELY AN EXAMPLE FOR OTHER CHANNELS TO FOLLOW".!!! I APPRECIATE ALL THAT YOU DO FOR US.!!!!

I like the news. Good up-to-date reporting. Ad popped up with no *"dismissal". Locked up the app. Had to uninstall. Trying again.

Very poor app, even if it opens and most of the time it does not, it is difficult to use because of all the ads that keep popping up.

I wouldn't know what to do anymore without this app! I love not having to try and catch the news on the television, with 4 kids it gets a bit hectic and chaotic!

Horrible app can't get it to even load and when it finally does has too many ads that have nothing to do with the news !! I know you can do better Region 8 !!

Too many ad and clicks to get to the news. Better to just create a short cut to the webpage.

Ever since they have redone their website cannot open it up on my phone to read. Never had any problem before but I guess this is what you call progress!!! Very disgusting..

Keeps crashing. Won't load an article without app crashing. Can't use the app. Useless.

Takes forever to load. Locks up often. Loved the app til the update. No bueno. I finally just removed this app. I miss my kait....but not really worth the aggravation.

Can't stand it, go back to old app, it's slow and keeps crashing.

UPDATE AGAIN: As of today, every time I clear a notification, it sends it again. This app is turning into spam.

The Autoplay ads with sound make this app absolutely infuriating to use. Don't use such invasive ads!
