I used this app to book local flights for a group of friends. BIG MISTAKE!!! One person cancelled the trip but I was told I had to cancel for every person in the group (not only for just that person), and rebook the flights. The price of the tickets increased so cancelled and rebooking with fewer people was much more expensive. They refused to refund, switch the flight, or change names of passenger. And the airline won't be able to help at all. Advice: just use the airplane app (website).

If you're a tourist, I suggest you don't use this app. Foreign phone numbers cause issues, get "invalid request" errors upon phone number validation. Local tourist SIM prepaid numbers most likely already used by someone before, so you'll get errors and have to validate by entering resident number among others. App is also quite picky about email domains it accepts. I don't like it, sorry. Competitor app Tada / 타다 is working much better for me.

I like this app for the Kakao bike, taxi and train features but booking a plane ticket is impossible. My full name is over 17 letters long and so Kakao T reservations won't accept it. Please understand many foreigners have longer names so please adjust the amount of letters to accommodate this.

Horrible app for foreigners. You can't register a credit card if you do not have a Korean ID number and taxis ignore the "pay the driver" requests.

If I could rate it 0 stars, I would. This company should be embarrassed for releasing this app in the state it is in. Whomever decides to let this app go out the way it is should consider a new career shoveling poop since it is clear that is all they are good at creating. 💩

So as a foreigner in Korea this app is useful to getting a taxi literally almost everywhere, but the lack of support for foreign customers is appalling. I can't add payment information without a korean cell or resident number and the support only speaks in Korean, but when I tried to translate they ended the support because I took too long. 3 stars for convenience, but could be more with better support and foreigner options

The drivers don't accept the requests, but I see taxi driving by me. Kinda useless.

It's a good app to navigate around Korea. But at the same time it's very inconvenient for non korean speaker. The driver sent me message in Korean but I have no option to translate it or copy it for external translation. Besides, it's ridiculous i need to have a local number to use my credit card. It would also be better if there is an in app calling option for users who don't have a local phone number. The driver tried to reach out to me several times but failed.

It's rare when you can even get a taxi. When you can it's nice. Sometimes I try over an hour and just give up. I know that can be said for taxis on the streets as well, but this is rediculious. Also sometimes drivers go around in circles and opposite directions when you are waiting for pickup. Then if you cancel you can't use the app for 5 minutes. It's nice when it actually works.

I've experienced this so many times where the drivers called asking me to cancel and the app still charged me with cancellation fee. I came to my surprise that even though the cancellation was unwanted on my end, I still had to pay. And this has happened multiple times. This app could've been a great experience if it hadn't been for this awful experience

Useful app... But constantly overestimates the price by I'd say 10~20%. Also, not being able to pay directly in the app as a foreigner is anoying.

For those people who are struggling with registration when app keeps asking you infinitely for phone number verification. Make sure that your sim card is in slot #1 if you have multiple like me. Also check that you can see your phone number in phone Settings (in some cases you would see "unknown" and should set number manually). Would be great if developers can fix this small, but very annoying issue.

It's impossible to get past the payment gateway. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong and when you get it wrong, you get locked out for FIVE minutes. I stood on the road trying to unlock a bicycle and ended up using one of their competitor, which had the easiest onboarding. Especially compared to Kakao. TERRIBLE UX... stay away

It didn't work properly and difficult to make booking as well. It takes longer times Sometimes app is just blinking with advertising and can't open. Via app booking, drivers didn't charge extra, otherwise they charge extra fees. In Korea, foreigners must aware of this issue.

This is incredibly disappointing. Very rarely, in Jeju can drivers be bothered to accept a job, despite their being taxi drivers around. A waste of my time in using or downloading the app. Update: Jan 2021. I am completely locked out of the app since it will no longer accept the cash payment option and it will not let me use a credit card. Typical inadequate apps locking out foreign users.

Useful until the update. Now the app is permanently and unchangeablely set to English. And for whatever unfathomable reason the taxi drivers receive requests in ENGLISH. This is an app for Korea designed to communicate with Koreans and yet it displays to the drivers in English. Drivers now will either ignore requests or require explanations upon arrival. Whose idea was this? Edit: The solution is to change the phone language obviously. But there's no reason why the user should have to change their phone's language completely to use this app.

Last version is NOT OK for tourists or people who can.t speak Korean. Pls add again the option to pay by cash!!! Also, for tourists, you may add the option to pay by foreign card or PayPal. For registration of the card, very important: pls make the page in English. Otherwise, the app is a 5 star.

At first this app was awesome because you just needed to drop pins and didn't have to talk with the drivers. But Korean app developers seem to have a big thing against foreigners in general and like to not take them into consideration when it comes to things like payments and verifications. Top it off with calling for taxis for over 20 minutes with no responses or drivers who don't pick up when it rains. Oh Korea.

I use this to travel throughout Korea. I do think the payment methods need to be updated. Not everyone has a Korean identification number. Not being able to register a card makes it more difficult to get a ride during peak hours. That said, if you're traveling in Korea, especially in areas with few English speakers, you're going to want this.

I love how kakao pay is in the options for when u want to delete a payment option but not when u want to pay with it. You mislead customers by introducing a payment option (and the option to recharge it) at a menu that has no relation to actually paying for the service. Either the person who handles your UI is intentionally deceiving or your company as a whole or has opted to disregard this UI/UX step as one that results in net profit for you without repercussion to usability.

This is a really good app. Some understanding of Korean language is needed as addresses are in Korean (name and structure). i have basic Korean and have used the app quite easily. Much better than trying to verbally communicate where you want to go with the driver.

very convenient. specially if you are a foreigner, it's hard to talk to the driver, because we can't pronounce the word correctly. by adding this apps to my phone, i can call a taxi by sending the address where I am going and the driver won't bother to ask you anymore. good job. thank you very much.

It's extremely inconvenient when your match is more than 5 minutes away. Sometimes taxi drivers will try to cheat you by taking longer routes, so you have to be extremely vigilant. If you cancel on them they will put you on a 24 hour ban. Instead of penalizing users demanding better service, try to hold your drivers up to better standards.

Very easy to use now with the English update. You choose your destination and go, and a taxi comes within minutes. Great for everyone living abroad and trying to go places fast. :)
