Once the ads are gone this is much better to use. Impressed at how it can detect the notes I play, makes practicing easier. Two features would make this 5 star material: settings don't stay saved (especially the view mode) and there's no way to save songs you find in the online library to the quick song list in the app. Would also be nice if songs could be sorted by difficulty, but most people have saved that in the title.
The app that actually teaches kalimba! Unlike its compeditor kalimba connect, it does not magically play chords for you, and actually has exercises for advances playing concepts and chords. So if you want something that will help you with a real kalimba this is it. Its not perfect but problems are all minor or easy to work around (they have an open beta program so you don't have to misuse the ratings for feature requests :-)
I have to wait a month for my first real kalimba to arrive so I decided to look at apps to tide me over. This seems like a really nice app for learning. It's very customizable and has a lot of features other kalimba apps lack. It might not be the most "pretty" looking of the apps available but it more than makes up for it in functionality. It's clear the developer really put a lot of time and effort into this!
great program, helping me work out my kalimba even though I have never played music. i wish there were some more tabs but I have even started writing my own tabs based on sheet music, which is helping me understand beats and melody. easy to use and understand. very exciting. next challenge is chords ;)
Really love the choices for learning songs. This is a great way to allow you to step through a song and get proficient. I am a beginner kalimb player and consider this a gem to help me learn it.
Just don't understand the notes on the screen, wish it was on regular music paper, but maybe this is what they use in China, hard to follow. Will update if I figure this out.
Works well. Switching between menus is difficult at times, but otherwise it's superb.
I really like this app. I'll give it five stars if they get rid of the nag screen asking for a five star rating. I paid for the pro version and rated five stars and yet I'm still getting that pop up. So, that knocked it down a star for me. Sorry!
Purchased...because it is intuitive, entertaining, well designed....and because apps don't grow on trees.
Great app lots of songs no bugs Just one. Question when writing tabs how do you tie two. Notes together I didn't find a button for that Alibone
I wish this had more song, better unsteuctions and a way to play a chromatic because that's what i'm playing now
Easy, fun. Could do with a few more tabs but otherwise a great practice app
Pretty good app, the UI could use an update though, it's kind of clunky
Good to practice on....wish you could print the tabs
Beautifull app,i have a real Kalimba now,but still enjoing this app.Thank you
I tried all the apps like this. This one is the best!
Nice, I really love it 😊 - Konnect S
This is a paid version of kalimba real, which I don't see any difference between them other than the fact one cost money.
Just started using andseems really good
Easy to use
So far its great! Excited to Kalimba!
Love it
amazing totally
My favorite kalimba app! No ads, just the beauty of composing and/or playing. Hopefully, the community will add more songs. Easy to use. You can export .wav files of songs, and a tabs pdf export is apparently coming soon. The composing part (if you use it) has a slight learning curve if you don't have a musical background, but it's mostly intuitive. (I'm using this a lot to figure out songs.) Developer is really responsive and friendly. This is absolutely worth the very modest fee.
