I had already taken down my premium subscription and was still told to pay for an extra month eventhough I wasn't even using it. They also told me i had to pay extra €10 because I was "too late" with the payment which means i have to pay €44 in total. This whole system is terrible and I hope they fix it. Although I would suggest that you use different apps when looking for rooms.
considering how expensive the premium subscription is, I was expecting MUCH BETTER quality. You guys seriously need to use all that money you take from your customers and get some apo developers to make it work properly, it's embarrassing. I keep getting error messages when I save places to my favorites and I can't change the notification settings. Moreover, you don't seem to do much quality control as many ads have basically no information or pictures and often misleading titles or information.
Absolutely horrible app. Whenever I try to favorite a room, an error message shows up. It is extremely unclear to see anything you're doing and the only thing that actually works relatively ok is the messaging ability. I can not believe I pay €34 euros per month to use an app of such a terrible quality. This is the worst app I've ever seen. Please update asap. This is unbelievable.
EDIT: THEY STRAIGHT UP STOLE FROM ME, CHARGED ME AN EXTRA MONTH OF PREMIUM 2 MONTHS AFTER CANCELING First of all the subscription is really expensive but I won't deduct any stars because it's a one time payment. Second, there are FB/Google OAuth sign in options but no Google sign up and the FB sign in doesn't work anyway so you have to use email. Links never open in the app which makes sharing them useless. Edit: one more star deducted because messages will randomly refuse to send for hours.
I realise that this app might help people to find an accomodation. The fact is that is not easy to find one in the Netherlands. There are some feedbacks from me. 1) Sometime, the notification in apss doesnt work properly. I sometimes dont get notifications about new offers. 2) 34 Euro for one month is not that fair. Why? I tried the other agencies that they for about 30 Euro give more than one month. Although, they dont guarantee that the consumers would get an accomodation or not. 3) It takes time for activating your premium account after paying. 4) Kamernet staffs should inspect the adverts to prevent scammers.
From today morning both the mobile app and website do not seem to be working. I am trying to access my messages and reply to them, and the page keeps timing out. The app said 'down for mainatanence' when i tried to log back in and re-installing it. I paid for the 15-day subscription and this is really frustrating. It feels like a waste of money.
Wasted my money on a completely useless service. The problems that I have experienced were both technical and service-related. Techical: 1) What's the point in having an English version if all the notifications you send are in Dutch? It's good that I can copy texts from Emails, but in the app they are neither translated nor copyable. I am working in a small project in the middle of Russia, but even we have optimised our service for different languages. 2) The app simply works slowly. Incredibly. Slowly. 3) Making copying from the app impossible is a shame. I want to highlight information from messages and copy it. At least to the translator which, as obvious from p1, is a must to have with this app. Service: 1) I am responding to almost all adverts. And out of dozens of responses I got only a handful of replies saying that I am not suitable. Other landlords simply ignore my requests even when inthe first line I explicitly ask them to mark my request as not interesting if I don't fit them. It's been almost a month since I purchased a subscription, and I have yielded a literally zero result. Please don't ask me if I've filled my profile - I have (with photos and everything), and in my messages I try to be as informative as possible. What else should I provide to get noticed? I know that Dutch landlords tend to be picky and arrogant, but in Kamernet this is felt as nowhere else. And yes, there are scammers. Not as many as on FB, but quite a lot. Just for the fact that Kamernet occasionally bans them, I will leave 2 stars. But no more. Buying a subscription was a waste.
I am a host and quite often the app is not responsive. I cannot write back to potential clients which is the whole point of this. Their help officer simply denied the problem. At this point I have more succes via Facebook. But in the past this site has helped me. I feel sorry for the insecure tenants paying these kind of sites, and once they did they are left out in the cold.
Not only the app, Kamernet in general was absolute disappointing. First, the fee you must pay to register is more expensive than any other serious rentals website, and it didn't work at all. Second, the rental offers are outdated, the owners do not respond on time and it seems not to be entirely serious. Third, if respond, sometimes they redirect you to another external website (from some other company). Therefore, the payment of a fee makes no sense.
Cannot see any pictures whatsoever. Not to mention how slow messages send and sometimes they don't even send. Also, everyone there is incredibly discriminating. I do not recommend using Kamernet. Left me rentless for this year. Thanks. Update: they fixed the loading issue.
App barely works. It's funny that this app works extremely slow, sometimes nothing load (even very quick internet connection) and I have to restart the app and I'm supposed to pay for it. I can pay for something that works
I'd like the search filter to be better, it's a lot of work to look for rooms months in advance since you have to scroll through lots of pages, Otherwise a good app. Expensive tho.
Laughably bad app. Suddenly photos dissappeared from posts, and a reinstall of the app didn't help. Previously I was not able to see my favorites and had to reinstall the app for this to work again. What will be next?
The owners don't reply. Or sometimes the houses and rooms are already rented. It ends in a super waste of time and frustration.
It is in English but should not be, there is no way to select. Also you cannot update all your profile info. You edit and save and after that nothing is saved...
Disfunctional app. The map and push notifications are bugged. Waste of time to use it apart from for answering messages.
no option to block a profile. only to report which does nothing. also uploading/taking pictures isnt working. 503 connection errord. cant receive or send new messages. for a paid service this is unacceptable. i asked for a chargeback from my creditcard company with no trouble because i documented the ineptitude of kamernet. u should do this too, otherwise they wont learn and keep disrespecting u
Do not use it. Customer servics doesnt exist! Tried to contact cs for few weeks cause, After cancelling my subscription they still charging me and now said they will give it to debt collector. Not responding to emails and there's no phone to call them. Riddicoulous!! Just a pure scam!!
Unethical company! No reminder process for your premium subscription end date, but will remind once the deadline passed, so that they can charge 10 euro extra for the service which you did not use.
You charged me for a very very poor quality service and you even fined me because I didn't pay for the service I never used. Money suckers! I will give you 1 star on the websites I can find... No wonder you have 2 stars here And I encourage all the others to do the same! (40 euros of fine... Robbery)
Kamernet filtering is very bad. Studios are not studios it's just rooms with sharing a bathroom and sometimes just rooms without a shared kitchen, same wit apartments. Using filters is kinda pointless, waists a lot of time. Very bad, specially with the amount your charging.
Doesn't even load photos. Unfortunately I've had to use this service two times in the past 4 years to find a room and it just seems to get worse and worse...
This Service is a Scam. Ridiculously high subscription 34 EUR p/m. Low quality of service. No phone calls to landlords, only messages. Landlords almost never reply. 75% of Offers are Dutch only. Wholly unrecommended to anyone searching for accommodation in the Netherlands.
there is very small chance to find housing via this pathetic app or website..It only about payment and thwn u see lost of external companies advertising there for another fee. Dont bother anyone..waste of money
Incredibly high subscription fee, minimal service. Use room.nl instead. Better service and a low yearly fee!
It's basically paying to either get ghosted or rejected; but the app itself works fine and if you're lucky you'll find a room!
Quite a glitchy app. I regularly get an error message that the website is down, and need to refresh the app to see search results or conversations. It has been going on for at least three weeks. Now I find that I cannot reply to messages in any of my conversations, even though I have a premium account. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it still doesn't work.
