Very annoying because its ALWAYS trying to get you to buy their cloud service! I wish I returned this camera a year ago instead of waiting so long to use it. The app has options at least but is not user friendly when you try to play your own SD card videos. It seems to already be telling you there isn't anything to play because you don't have their cloud service. Too sensitive to actually enjoy using even with the sensitively turned down. It can't distinguish people from cars or even wind!!

The cameras are brilliant. The app hosever is shockingly bad. There are constant advertisements to subscribe to the cloud service but they standard app with basic SD functionality doesn't work properly. The camera constantly tells me that I have nothing recored to the SD card but they're is something there you just have to reset the about 5 times or more. Sort the app out and you've got yourself a brilliant camera for a fair price.

The past year has been a migraine dealing with kami / YI. The cameras themselves seem good but the app over the past 12 months has consistently gone downhill and has become almost unusable. select a camera you get a Black loading screen freezes at 25% asked to close the app or wait. camera picture shifts left to right on its own and does not stop. Viewing camera cannot back out or use any features it freezes asked to close or wait. Strong wifi signal but camera struggles. App updates makes worse

Had to reinstall the app cuz it was not working properly and now I can't set a motion detection schedule. That setting is not functioning properly. Clearly some fixes need to be made within the app.

Sd card randomly comes and goes and when it is recognised sometimes says no video recorded after having contact with customer service nothing has been resolved they said ''ETA of approx 4 weeks as this is a code issue only happening to a small % of our customer base. It's requiring a code scrub and rewrite. I'm offering 2 months of free cloud to cover any future downtime it takes to resolve this issue.'' But they have not give me the cloud cover and have stopped replying to my emails

A perfect example of what an app should not be. Overly complicated with QR codes my S10 cannot scan when the camera serial number is sufficient. I will be sending this camera back to seller after six attempts top pair it have all failed!

Terrible. The camera is always going offline, always needs to be reset or need to unplug and plug it in again. Have got to the point that we don't even use it anymore. Complete waste of money. Buy any other camera.

Review update! I've been having on going issues with cameras - getting disappointed my cameras do not seem reliable now. Kami, please fix issues - video is great but not having a reliable camera is getting a bit much! Thanks for the good support need to fix issue!

The new layout is trash. Not only is the app more buggy now, but now load times are even slower. Liked it way better before. Would love if I could get rid of the "now using phone data" banner. Also, scrolling in the app is not smooth and it shoots back up to the top which is inconvenient.

High quality cameras are useless because cloud service does not work. I have emailed no less than 50 times trying to fix the issue. They just keep giving me the run-around and same bad advice. Twice I was offered to extend my cloud service, which they have not done and would be useless anyway because it doesn't work. It's too bad because these cameras are really nice. I now have no choice but to file a chargeback with my credit card company because none if their diagnostics solve the issue

So easy to set up took me 30 minutes I'm 60 and not very tech minded. Review after 6 months 0* app will not load it just freezes. Ŕeinstalled twice app only worked for 1 hour. I'm not happy my home feels unsecured until i can buy a different camera

Works well on Motorola phone, terrible on MS Windows, and ok on Samsung tablet. YI or Kami is totally unresponsive to feedback. Camera names are not sorted alpha numerically as they should be. Thinking of dumping all 20 of my YI cameras.

This app is so unreliable. I will never buy anything from kami again as the cameras just seem to work when they want. You can not trust this cameras to work

Keeps getting worse, notifications are more and more delayed, connecting to the camera used to be instant now it can take several minutes..

Be careful with the kami doorbell promo. They can't fix the issues 1)long 20 minutes cool down, videos not recorded (ex. mishandled amazon delivery not recorded) they can't give concrete answers,2)hardwired from existing mechanical doorbell but still needs to charge the battery (what's the point of connecting hardwired?),3)battery life too short, hassle to keep charging even though it's hardwired connected.4)Offered with extended cloud service but can't even fix the issues. 5)no refund. Trapped!

This is a horrible camera Don't buy it It has so many ads and you have to pay for a cloud service just to get your pictures and when you go to upload it shows you a whole bunch of commercials so you can't even get to the camera visual for at least 30 seconds It is not a security camera at all It took me almost 2 hours to set it up because it kept saying it couldn't find things and you have to set it up with 2.4 GHz or something It was weird

With the new update you have to reinstall the camera. I now have the newest xfi box and it does not allow me to pick 2.4, which is all that can be used to install the camera, because it selects the best ghz for the fastest connection and my phone is on 5.0. You cannot set up the camera without the phone being on 2.4. I have sent 3 emails to kami complaining about this and recommend that the rest of you avoid this new update until kami fixes their install routine. My camera is now useless and they don't seem to care. I was working perfectly before this update. Can't be just me having this problem. Would give a 0 for this new app if possible.

There are a few bugs and improvements that could be made to the app. Also there was a welcome card that came with the camera that said 24hs of free cloud storage was included but then they told me they dont offer it anymore, but there was no expiry date written on the offer

The Camera works great most of the time although since my last update my battery indicator on the app is no longer visible my live view freezes 90% of the time or I just get a black screen I also don't understand why there is an SD slot if I can't watch the clips without Cloud Service for more than 6 seconds and on that note my camera doesn't pick up movement until someone is already at my door stealing my packages and walking away with their back turned and then cuts off

The motion sensor is terrible. Sometimes it doesn't recognize someone when they come up to my door just a few feet from my camera and then sometimes it will go off when a car goes by on the street that is over twenty feet from the camera. Then there are times the camera will detect something and there is no one there.

Bugs and subscription fee... For an app that we have to pay to get access to their cloud storage (no sd card available on device) i was expecting a better service. I got a better service from other free encrypted cctv cameras at home.

I was told to download this version as the Yi home app was missing features. This app is identical in every way, no difference at all with same features that I have paid for, still being missing. Don't waste your money.

Was meant 2 have 14 days free trial and I was charged full price the same day and the app doesn't work properly I only have had my camera for 3 days and I'm not happy that I can't record that long on it then it goes off after a few seconds it has cost me far to much 4 what I ws expecting not worth the money at all .

After update the top of the camera screen is very dark, upgrade is poor, don't upgrade
