Kana (Hiragana & Katakana)

If not for the bugs it would be a great app to use to practice the alphabet. However whenever I go on the learning page it turns white. I assumed this is for an advert, but an advert never appears! So I have to restart the app to try again. For that reason I give it 2 stars. I'm not patient enough to keep restarting the app to learn. My phone is samsung a50. Maybe it's not compatible.

This app would be better if it didn't keep crashing on my Galaxy S6 Android phone. But the material is presented in an intuitive fashion and the quizzes are good. I do wish the initial quizzes included recognizing the sounds made by each letter, rather than mapping to romanji.

Only just starting but seems very well thought out. Lots of explanations. Good format for the quizzes. Bit outdated in terms of the UI but it gets the job done. I like that it doesn't harass me about points and stars and blahblahblah

THE BEST! If you want to learn Japanese, you should install this app. I suggest after learning all, you reset your test results once in a while and re answer the quizzes to refresh your memory.

Very helpful! Technical textbook type learning. Easy to understand. It also has voice samples on how to pronounce each syllable. 5 stars.

Great help! The pronunciation trains you to recognize it as spoken by a native speaker rather than it's English pronunciation. It ads letters cummulatively. Try thinking of a word picture that looks like the character, such as te looks like the letter "t".

I like this app! Its simple enough to teach you the basics for Hiragana and Katakana. Recently, i jist finish the basic Hiragana test and just pay $3 for this app! Worth it! They are not pushy with ads unlike other apps so I feel its worth to pay for the app! Good job!

This is pretty helpful but ill give it 4 star maybe 5 star if the problem is fixed. Well the problem is it wont open unless i open it from the playstore. Clicking the app wont let me use the app it will just show loading then force close

I enjoy it. Teaches you where to locate and memorize both Hiragana and katakana characters. And giving you simple short quizzes. Kanji next step.

I have only have the app for maby 5 minutes. I have done two things and it is asking me to rate it. So far it is good for multiple choice quizes which I enjoy.

The vowels are wrong .. there in each category, but when you press the sound .. it pronounces the hiragana for the one in a different box / lines . Also it needs access to my phone to make calls ? Why .

It's multilingual so the 1st isn't really an apt question for this app. I like using it for study and find it very useful and the pronunciation is well done also
