All in all, I've memorized more kanji with this than any other source. Great companion app to use aside Duolingo. Only complaint I could think of was that the drawing detection can be a little too strict at times, especially with longer horizontal lines. But hey, I'm still learning the kanji, even if the app says I got it wrong :P would also recommend to users to grab a notepad at the same time to drill each kanji.
Great app, though I do wish it was easier to practice drawing a single, specific character. Also maybe make the characters slightly smaller. Going close to the edge of the screen makes me accidentally do the "back" swipe gesture sometimes.
Currently there is a critical error in this app. I am not entirely sure what causes this (perhaps a data setting? I will run some tests) but the app is currently showing me the same 5 kanji over and over again. It will not drill new or old kanji, so I cannot progress through. I was considering purchasing, but obviously will not do so in this state. Will update with a fix if I find one. The code is probably attempting to check for a setting, and looping when it fails.
Good for introducing new kanji. The only trouble is you can't select a "practice what I've learned so far" mode. It's constantly throwing new kanji at you. I'd love to be able to practice without always adding more in. Other than that it's great.
Works great in conjunction with other learning methods. Not always clear which definition some translations are going for. "Association" for example; we talking 'how things are associated with one another', or 'an Association that people can join'? Need to be able to read katakana and hiragana to learn kanji pronunciations. Duolingo now has improved lessons to improve this skill.
Works well overall, and it's great for the purpose of learning kanji. I recommend removing ads as you get more information about each kanji in the place of the ad.
Easy to use, extensive, and even a little addictive. Great educational tool.
Good app so far. Wish it would give more control over which kanji to practice. Also the English translation should be more noticeable.
A great way to practice writing kanji, only if vocabulary related to the kanji could also be practiced, it would have been wonderful.
Annoying vibration when making a mistake. Definitely helping to learn kanji. Unclear how close or far the next level is.
Very good for learning kanji although an understanding of hiragana and katakana is needed to if you dont already know the kanji meaning
the only app that actually helps with memorizing kanji. Sometimes simple is best
I wish this app had a mode to draw kanji from memory
I payed for the app but when I downloaded the app in my new phone all kanjis were locked :(
Would like to see hiragana and katakana supported. Please, also consider publishing this app on F-Droid.
Best app I've ever downloaded, so easy to use
it is easy to use.
This moving far faster than I want to. Why can I not stay with grade kanji till I fee I have mastered them.
The app has a robust catalogue, but it's poorly designed and annoying to use. Just one example: after you make a mistake, you can click a "Try Again" button to try again... but if you tap anywhere other than that button (including while the clunky animation hasn't finished showing the page yet), then you close the page and skip to the next character instead.
