I really like this program. It's a great study tool that you can use every day. A relatively minor adjustment that would be nice would be the ability to flip back on the same card after revealing the kanji. After getting one wrong it would be nice to review the character.
Good app for learning kanjis. Although, it would be better if the card selection method can be improved. For example select all kanji's that belong to a particular level or have a coman radical. Selecting individual cards is tiring, especially when the number of kanjis is high.
Like being able to read the on and kun BEFORE I click so I can differentiate between kanji that have similar meaning ,or being able to save the progress more accurately,(all the cards were the colour I had previously, but they all were due on one day.) Or to put a confirmation on "back up cards" because I was trying to press "restore" and accidentally clicked "backup". So my restore ended up being the 10 cards you start with. Both on different occasions and both frustrating.otherwise AWESOME!
It would be a perfect app but the kanji numbering is not coherent with the one I find in heisig's book (I own the 6th edition). I think it might be caused by different editions...it's annoying and I will uninstall the app if the problem won't be solved.
Great app to learn kanji on the go. There is not much to be said about it. The card system works very well and the level system forces you to review thing you have previously learned. After all, knowledge is what you remember after you forget everything you've learned.
I love this program overall, but I'm getting more and more frustrated by the mismatches with the books' keywords. At least let us change them manually! It also doesn't include the new 2010 additions to the jōyō kanji lists. Update the list and add a bit more customizability and this will go back to being a 5 star app for me.
I'd give it 5, if i could see onyomi etc without scrolling. Kanji font is unnecessary big :)
I like all the app, because I like the Remembering's course, but need two things be perfect: 1) Spanish and other languages translation; 2) choose other font for kanji, because the actual one confuse me a little.
Excellent system. Lots of other apps let you practice drawing though, which would be a nice addition for this app.
Good one for learning but not for practicing. Doesn't allow me to draw. Why do we need correct/wrong buttons when the app is always showing correct answer!
Fantastic app which uses the same order as the Remembering the Kanji book series. Used in conjunction they are a fantastic memory tool.
This app is a flashcard style leaning tool and it's really well put together with so many words and phrases to least.
There needs to be a "practice kanji to english" and "practice english to kanji" buttons right on the main menu, not buried in the settings.
It's a good app, well designed and easy to use. I would like to have the option to hide the kana in the flash cards, so I can practice the kanji to kana and not only kanji to english.
Thiss app is thr most incredible Srs app for learning Kanji. I use it to review all the kanji I have learned. It makes the whole thing much easier.
Really great app. Would be even better if you could randomise the order of the cards i.e. shuffle them up.
Has really helped me start learning kanji. I only wish the default sort view would stay, so I don't have to change it every time but that's just a minor inconvenience!
I love it! In just a few months Ive learned over 2000 kanji. I just wish I could use it to start learning the N5 - N1, but it only has kanji available.
Doesn't have settings to test on all cards and forces a very limited study methodology, which will slow the progress of most people down.
Needs 2 improvements to get 5 stars. Shuffle the review cards, have 6 or more levels. 5 is too few.
I was studying kanji from Dr. Heising 's book, and this is a very nice add on. No plugins, no need to add anything: just download and you are ready to go. ありがとう
It's good, and I like the interface. I'm even considering switching from Anki to this. One suggestion I'd want to make is providing common compounds the kanji are used in...and maybe suggesting which readings to remember, based on what's commonly used (like what KanjiDamage recommends). But otherwise, I really like it. I just wish I could import my progress from Anki easily. =]]
Very nice flashcard app for kanji, does what it needs to do and easy to use. A bit more functionality and interactivity will make this app perfect but it's still a pretty good app
I think that it would be nice if there was a feature where we could draw the kanji on the card and then compare it to the answer when we flip.
I didn't like it at first because I didn't understand how it is used, but now I love it. Keep up the great work 😊
I use it almost daily. Love the ability to see your progress
Download but the play store is stupid cant download
Works well but not flexible, you are locked into a particular study philosophy, if the method works for you then this will be very useful. Two suggestions - add the ability to flip back to the front of the card after you've flipped to the answer, that would make it much easier to mentally associate the question with the answer. Also there should be an option to randomise the order - getting the cards in the same sequence every time gives you an advantage you don't get in real world situations.
