Karaoke Live MIDI Player
Either as karaoke machine or backing music track replacing your expensive yet bulky arranger keyboard, LiveMIDI plays any MIDI and KAR files with outstanding and consistent sound quality across devices, even suitable for live performance!
Minimum device requirements:
- Android 2.3.x Gingerbread or higher
- ARMv7, MIPS, or x86 CPU, dual-core 1GHz. May run on slower CPUs with linear or no interpolation, reverb and chorus turned off
- 512MB RAM, may be higher if you intend to use larger custom soundfonts
- 60+ MB free storage space, for application install and extracted soundfont

- Multilanguage lyrics encodings as supported by device; ISO-8859-1, EUC-KR, EUC-JP, Big5, KOI8-R, etc. Custom support for VISCII Vietnamese character encoding(Lyrics encoding autodetection still needs improvement, so you might need to override it at times!)
- Wi-Fi web-based remote control, remote-control from any wifi and browser-enabled devices!
- Bundled with GeneralUser GS FluidSynth v1.451 courtesy of S. Christian Collins
- Use your own GM/GS SF2 soundfonts! Simply put in /sdcard/LiveMIDI/soundfonts/ directory, restart LiveMIDI and choose soundfont to use!
- Browse files through filesystem and ZIP archives, and with folder and zip-context search support
LiveMIDI uses unmodified version of FluidSynth for its internal software synthesizer.

I realy love this app.worked well on my phone.the best midi karaoke player ever.thanks for making this app.Another thing i suggest is please make it biger or put an option for rezising the lyrics fonts display.So that we can read well in distance.Hoping will up by next updates.Thank you Admin.🙏

This app is useful even for stage performers. My initial review rants about LiveMidi NOT HAVING a Save Playlist feature. Now I can save playlists and I can do so much more. Now I can give you one hundred stars...even more! Excellent job, guys. Forget my first review.

No help file other than online. Untidy file storage method. Only portrate sound controls. Could be a good player but just a toy at present.

Great app. Plays so far all karaoke MIDI files I have tried, whereas other ones would not. I have various soundfont sets already, and having the app use any one I put in the soundfonts folder is great. The default soundfont, thought, is very good. Next, I want to try input my MIDI keyboard, to see if it is possible to play live, along with the karaoke, into one of the song's channels. Also, I want to record the performance (audio), possibly with another app, meaning the voice and the music, mainly for practice. I do have audio gear using with my pc home-studio, but I am new to the android. Am using a HiSense Pro tablet. If any one has done any of these two uses, please comment on it, and some basic guideline.
I just bought this yesterday as a backup cos my laptop fails. I finished my sets using this. Only feature i request though is an option to toggle tap to play. Cos sometimes i accidentally click a midi file and jump immediately to that song. Kudos to the developer thanks
I would love just two more things: cent pitch adjustment for use with an acoustic piano and multiple playlists. This would then be a perfect app for me.
I have bought this app and I really like it, I installed it on my phone and also on my tablet, on my tablet it gives me the option to add all the files at once, but on my phone it will only let me add one file at a time, is there any way to change this and add a whole directory? Got this app as i need control of midi playback but cannot access instrument channels and it jumps and stutters have tried to control this with available parameters but to no avail
Hi, first of all - great app. Tried the demo version and bought the full version in a blink of an eye. Anyway here's the thing that is missing from the app (IMHO): An option to create a playlist from a folder (+ its sub-fodlers). For example I have karaoke files in folders like English, French, Russian and each one has subfolders for each alphabet letted (a,b,c,..,z for English or а,б,в,..,я for russian) then under each letted there are many folders of singers and singers folders in their turn contian .kar files. So creating a playlist from a folder (say English or Russian in my case) would save hours of adding songs one by one. Thank you in advance. P.S. Just found that the app can't play some .kar files which are played very well on a PC. For some files it says that file contains no lyrics and others are just not being played at all. Can I upload you those files so you could debug this behavior?
Crashes on nougat when using web remote . Background pic is zoomed in too much on landscape orientation. Fix pls. Only 20% of pic is being shown
Works great on my tablet. Now using it live onstage. Nice to be able to instal my preferred synthfont. Scrolling lyrics work a treat. Lots of font options for onscreen lyrics.
