I am happy you added the watch live feature. It won't work on the weekends it just works during the week. I tried to watch 10:00 news on the app on Saturday night and it started play Lucy Laney Elementary special instead of the news. I did try it a few times to get news to play. Lucy Laney kept opening up.

The new app is just too limited. A few news stories but mostly old news items. I'm looking for more depth and more content and this app just isn't. Another issue is the shear volume of advertising. The ads take do long to load that the page keeps jumping up and down while I'm reading a story. Really irritating. The ap just feels like amateur hour.

Absolute garbage, it's been crashing for 6 months and the developer won't fix it so it's unusable. This used to be a great app for MN news and about 6 months ago it was constantly crashing and I got rid of it. I recently tried to use it again on two different phones and it still crashes every, single, time. I've never had an app I've been more frustrated with. I'm in not the type to leave reviews but "buyer beware" as this is far more trouble than what it's worth.

What I don't like/am frustrated with is when an alert is given if you click on the icon it takes you to the home news page and the weather alerts are not there. With all the severe weather alerts today you have to go searching for the "description". Really frustrating. And too many steps to get to a news story. Time to go back to the drawing board.

Issues with ads in videos, and app not opening from notification bar. 1) Video/live news stories start with an ad. If I lose connection during the story then there is another ad in the middle of the story. It's better to just read the stories and not bother with video. 2) When I tap a notification in the notification bar often it flashes like it's opening the app, and then closes when it fails to open. If I am interested enough then I have to manually open the app and try to find the story.

Dislike the new updates, and the layout. too many ads, and now the story headlines look like the ads from the last version. For me. the app keeps getting progressively worse with each update. the video section looks nice, but I don't open my news app to watch videos, I have a tv for that which doesn't consume my data.

Installed for its excellent storm coverage one night. Notifications are not annoying, so that's good.

While the old app had its problems, the slowness of this loading and having to sit at their top splash screen just to get a weather update is just horrible for having taken the old version away. I am sure this will be a good app in the near future...question is if people come back after the launch experience. I am probably keeping it installed, but it isnt my go-to any longer.

I hate this app. I want to watch live news and most of the time it isn't available until late into the broadcast. And then you have to wait for a stupid ad to play and you miss even more of the show.

The 'upgraded' app is way worse than the previous version...the ads are ridiculous, and the entire app is difficult to navigate. It seems like the news stories are filtered so I can only view certain stories, so I hesitate to set my preferences, in case more stories are filtered out.

Gave it two weeks. Figured with all the negative reviews, some changes would be made. Nope. Still slow, layout and styling issues galore, unresponsive features, etc. Not worth my time to keep checking back on your "experiment". Disappointing to uninstall an app I've had for years.

Too Many Ads & Video Volume Ad Trap. To get video sound you need to click on the video which then takes to to an ad. You have to watch the ad before getting sound on the news video. Very frustrating and pretty low-rent for Kare11 to do that. I usually just go to another network news app. Bad form Kare11!!!

Love the notifications that highlight most important events. App is easy to use.

I enjoy being able to pick the stories I want to hear about instead of watching the entire news cast. I also like the layout of the app. I would have given 5 stars but I do not like that I am forced to watch an ad (commercial) everytime before the video plays... that is really annoying.

I would like to know how to reduce the push notifications. In settings I have all topics turned off but still get about 6 notifications every day for things that are informational but do not require immediate attention. Also the current layout of the app makes it difficult to find RECENT LOCAL stories. Everything seems jumbled when all I want is the local news. When I want a national story I open the NBC news app. I am so frustrated that I am thinking about deleting this app

It wasn't too bad originally, but now there are so many ads that the interface is messy and hard to navigate. I only use it now for weather and their radar, but get my new from other outlets. Frustrating

Had the app for years and it was my go to local news app. That is until the revamp- it crashes or locks up almost every time I try to open it. I wanted to like the new version, but I just couldn't take it anymore. I gave up and uninstalled it for good.

Horribly slow and cumbersome on my phone. Heavy on ads and light on user friendly operation. I couldn't find the fancy radar feature they were touting. It also started sending me unwanted garage notifications. I had to uninstall it.

I do not like the "click-bait" advertising this app uses. Tegna has plenty of resources without resorting to this kind of advertising. I expect more from a major news outlet. Stories are too short without enough relevant detail and concern.

Long boot up just for animated cover screen , which is not needed. Horrible layout, and if you scroll fast to avoid pop up ads(god forbid to read articles, the whole reason you're there) it keeps rolling back up to the ad to make sure you read/see the stupid ad

This app is great. It's fast and has an excellent layout with headline news articles and shortcuts to other sections, like weather, easily accessible. The adds aren't intrusive.

I get notified of a story, which I'd like to read, but when I go into the app to read it, it's usually not even in the top 5 stories listed. I rarely use the app for this reason. When you notify about a story, make it easy to locate it to read it. It's frustrating.

Severe battery drain. Slow performance compared to other news apps. Radar is splotchy and also not as speedy as other weather apps. This is a downgrade that puts visual style above application performance.

Very disappointed in this update... any in depth information either isn't there or is only available in video form. The ads cover so much of the pages it is impossible to know what is part of the article & what isn't. 😡

I am wondering why we need an hour of redundancy on this tragedy. I will be deleting this app. And question if I will continue watching channel 11 news.

Much better layout but enough with the alerts. Not every story you create deserves an alert. Yes, I turn all notifications off and still get some. Update: still, alerts on everything!

I want to like this! the app itself is great but the notifications don't give headlines, it gives web addresses and looks like a scam/junk. Disappointing since the old one actually gave info on headline.

Hate the updated app. It is jumpy, slow and glitzy rather than in depth. Also the severe weather notifications don't take you to a current weather story or even the weather section. Uninstalling.

03/2021 - Navigation seems to have improved markedly. APP no longer closes unexpectedly. Weather radar works! 2020 - Navigation clumsy with too many ads which interfere.

Redundant advertising ... Uninstalled the app less than an hour after a constant barrage of CHS farm ads. Talk about annoying. Five minutes of ads for every two minutes of content(if that sometimes.) No thanks.
