Karel Coding: Code Hour

Attention Users: We strongly recommend that this app be used on tablets with at least a 7" screen. It has been designed with this minimum screen size in mind.
In this short course you will solve fun programming games and puzzles by writing simple programs for a robot.

The Karel language has Python code formatting and some Python keywords, but it is free of colons, semicolons, commas, decimal points, parentheses and other features that are known to cause frustration to beginners.

The simplicity of the syntax will allow you to focus on programming logic.

Karel provides instant visual feedback – if you make a mistake, then the robot goes astray, hits a wall, or does something funny.

You will learn how to use the repeat loop, if-else conditions, while loop, custom commands, variables, functions, Python lists, and recursion. Karel will help you get ready for a seamless transition to Python programming.

Incredibly slow loading and lagging between clicks. No real intro or tutoring so not something kids can do on their own. Between the two your constantly wondering, wait did that work, do I need to click again? Check out LightBot for a solid HoC activity, or SpriteBox for a longer game that sneaks coding in.

The zoom in and out is very annoying and hard to use ! when I touch to edit the program it zooms in far to close, then when I try to zoom out ,it messes up the program,it's a cool app,but just hard to use on a phone ! It's ok i uninstalled it.
