Eat great food. Save money. Protect the planet.

************************

- Eat great food
Buy delicious unsold surplus food as take away. Order and pay in the app.

- Save money
Find great food deals where you pay half the price and pick up your food as take-away. And you don't have to cook too!

- Save the environment
Help create a more sustainable society by reducing food waste.

***********************

This is how it works:

- Food is uploaded to Karma
Restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries and cafes upload their surplus food at specific times, often between 2pm and 6pm.

- You buy the food
You buy the food you want directly in the Karma app at a lower price.

- You pick up the food
You pick up the food on location as take away. Show your order to the personnel in order to get your food. Enjoy your lunch or dinner!

- Follow your favorite restaurants, cafes and grocery stores to get notified when they have food you can buy. Perhaps you want to know if a restaurant has a meal that you can buy for dinner after work? You'll get a push notification as soon as a place you like has food that you can buy!

I like the concept, but whenever I've checked the app, it always says nothing available... I've really searched hard (and further than I'd want to travel), but the best I've found are a few shops, where it says the last sale was over a week ago (which could presumably mean a month or a year back). In contrast, TooGoodToGo always seems to have bakeries offering food on a daily basis, and the occasional restaurant/cafe offering their leftovers once or twice a week

The idea is good. But the execution is debatable. Says sale is ongoing, and when you press the store there's nothing there. The map overview is a good thought as well. But the overlay covers a third of it buuut, it still shows the stores under the overlay. Gives a lot of notifications. Should be able to filter more. So much potential, yet it really fails in some points...

The app is a good concept, but I have two major complaints. The first is that food advertised as available on the home screen is often no longer available once you click through to the restaursnt page to place an order. This seems like a bait-and-switch. The second issue is that a sneaky fee is added on just before you place the order. I didnt even notice the fee until I had placed many orders. Karma charges restaurants 25% of the sale price, so there is no reason to add an (underhanded) fee.

Good idea, not so good performance. Love the possibility to help reduce food waste but the app isn't very stable, sometimes it works as it is supposed to, but other times it craches, or says I'm not connected to the Internet or just doesn't show anything even when I've received notification from a restaurant I'm following that there is food to rescue. Latest update did not make it better, rather the opposite. Today it just keeps crashing whenever I press the heart icon.

The app itself has a good idea, with poor execution. It's extremly slow and buggy at times. To top things off, you pay 3 SEK for each purchace, which sometimes is well above 10% of the item you're buying. I'll remove my card and uninstall this, maybe I'll check it out in the future to see things have improved.

It's such a brilliant concept. Shops and restaurants sign up and they list food that they would be throwing out that night if it's not sold but for a hugely marked down price so people are saving money and we are also stopping unneeded food waste and the restaurant/shop makes money on stuff they would normally throw out. It's a win win concept. I absolutely love it.

I really like the concept and like to use your app for purchases but the browsing could be improved a lot. If you click on a seller it automatically zooms out on the map which is unnecessary and wastes time since I often need to zoom back where I wanted to browse in the first case. Browsing between sellers should be faster and easier, if you are on a seller and click on the x you get to the search menu which needs to be swiped down to continue browsing, this is an unnecessary step.

It"s a cool idea and the app seems to function decently well. Unfortunately you need to create an account to even view what is around... and well, it's only really used in western Europe. 90% of the places are in Sweden. So if you aren't in this area its unfortunately not useful at all. Would be great to see this app used across the globe one day, then i might redownload it.

I love that this app exists and use it frequently! Saves me a lot and good for the environment! It could be somewhat more user friendly, though. It's a lot of clicking to find what I want. For instance, when browsing the map, I don't seem to be able to sort out those who just sell food (as opposed to snacks, sweets, etc). Addresses don't always show in search.

Love this app, such a win-win! I buy food at a discount and prevent it from going to waste. Selection of places is not huge yet but super good value nonetheless. I use it every other day to buy dinner or lunch. The trick is to collect at off peak hours. Highly recommend to both eco-warriors and compulsive savers!

Terrible app. They don't have much food and the food they have is things like a cheese block in soho for £25 and bottled sauces both of which don't need 'saving'. It doesn't quite fit the theme of finding 'meals' and helping to stop food waste. Also the UI and ux doesn't seem well thought of. Not nice to navigate. Only positive is good idea which needs improving.

Probably the best food waste saving app I have. There are a few others knocking around, but this one let's you see specifically what's up for grabs and most of the time there is a photo included! Handy nutritional and allergen info too, generally really pleased with the app and I have had some absolute bargains off it 😋

Great savings to support local restaurants and reduce food waste. When you add something to basket it takes you straight back to the beginning of the list of options for that restaurant instead of where you were in the list which is a bit annoying, but apart from that really good.

i would love this even more if more shops participated. but so far ive found it great. love the discount, love saving food, and im happy that the allergies are clearly labelled. if it could be a bit easier to search via things like allergens, and if this was a standard thing for all food places, it would be amazing!

Most of the stuff on here is full price it constantly says full price. Why is that? I love the idea of the app, but I don't think the restaurants realise the point of it. It would be nice if someone checked on whether or not they are following the 1/2 price discount. For now they are using it as a pickup deliveroo app.

1.very hard to refresh. usually when i open the app, there are nothing on the home screen, i click refresh icon, nothing. i have to force stop the app in app setting, restart, and see food options. 2. home screen and details screen are not synced. usually when i see there is still some options left on home screen, after i click into details, they are no longer available, and i come back to home screen, they are available...... very bad experience. Good idea, bad app, uninstalled.

Too good to be true Ordered on the app very easily I went to pick up my order. To finally discover in front of the restaurant that it's closed ! Yet my order went through as well as my payment. Very disappointed. That was my first try Also no support button on. The app

Great initiative and a great app. I hope there are more users and food providers in the future to combat the serious ussue of food waste. Only complaint is that sometimes the app is not responding well and getting stuck on the payment page. Hope these minor issues are sorted quickly.

I had an issue with a order that the image shown didn't match the actual product then I raised my complaint to Karma they took necessary action and gave refund. Customer service was good. Still I would suggest don't put that general wrong image for the items you don't have pics instead of putting general image remove image and keep it blank atleast then people like me will Google to find out what product is it.

Quite disappointed with the offering of eateries on the app. If you're in London it looks great, but anywhere else the options are incredibly sparse. If you can beef up the offering outside of London I'd be more than happy to revise my rating.

I use Too Good to Go, so was eased to see another similar app. But... Had to register to find out if they operated anywhere near me. In the UK, only London & Brighton are covered! This should be made clear in the description, so those of us elsewhere don't bother downloading a pointless app.

This app is great, simple to use and a really positive concept. What would be a great additional feature is a filter to select a specific dietary requirement such as Gluten free or vegetarian so that only those items would pop up, if this was added I would rate 5 stars.

Sar. V. May 13, 2019

I downloaded the app, and unfortunately there were only options in London. Its a shame, this is a concept that could really work, and its missing a teick that it hasnt been rolled out to thr other major cities in the UK. App uninstalled.

It is a great app for both business and private person. One thing is missing but would be useful is to be able to search for a particular caffe/restaurant instead of going by the map.
