Brilliant. Does exactly what it says on the tin. And easy to use. Five stars! One suggestion though. The blue route marking gets overlaid on top of the street names and makes it difficult to know what stree you're on. It could be made transparent perhaps.
One of thew few apps I've ever paid for, but seems to be somewhat lacking in what it's supposed to do. I tried putting in an address of a place 2 miles from home, and the closest it could find was another state, Waze and google found it without issue
I installed Karta and the map opened. With my phone sitting on a table...the map is very jittery. The map constantly twitches back and forth. Constantly. Uninstalled. It's on a 4 month old Galaxy S21 FE. Edit - Developer...thank you for the reply. I'll try it again.
I FINE THIS A VERY GOOD SAT NAV SOME TAKES YOU SUM STRANGE WAYS BUT DOES GET THERE BETTER THAN GOOGLE I THINK AT MOMENT THE ONLY ANNOYING thing is SOMETIMES ADS APPEAR WHENYOU ARE TO SET OF AND THE MAP CAN NO LONGER BE SEEN but not in full nav. THE ADS CAN REMOVED FOR PENNIES SO NO PROBLEM TO REMOVE THEM Of course . With Google you have downloaded the maps if you want to go offline where this one you do not have to i thank the team much appreciated ps would like the map little bigger.
Overall I like the look and feel of the app. So far it's proved to be both useful and unreliable. Tried it on the way back home just to test it. It got me out of an unfamiliar area without issue. Unfortunately, as I approached my destination it began suggesting completely inappropriate routes - in fact at one point it suggested exiting the freeway and traveling a few blocks and making a u turn. Perhaps there's an issue with the map data. Or it isn't completely compatible with Pie.
This is quite a reliable navigation app, especially when it comes to picking up a GPS signal rapidly (some others viz. Google, Waze, do not seem to care that their apps do not pick up a GPS signal on app start -up and sometimes never at all). Most of what you need is free in this app and the extras you can buy are quite economically priced! I will update, as I use this app more (which is not possible at the moment due to the obvious happenings around us!)
I've tried every offline map on the marketplace for my car's android head unit and this one is the BEST! I've bought everything aside from traffic (as I use this primarily offline) and don't regret it at all. Nice looking UI along with impressive extras like parking lines in parking lots and speed light cameras. If I could make some suggestions to help improve the app it would be to add a full screen mode like some other apps offer and having the current time always being displayed. Thanks!
The first time I used it, it gave me a slow route and a completely incorrect time to destination (7 min to travel 5 miles on city streets). I tested it going a long distance (1 hr drive), and it was great going there, but horrible coming back. Seemed like the GPS was 5 min behind. Speed camera warnings after I passed the cameras. Also gave directions that didn't make sense, as if it had no idea where I was. If someone were truly lost, this app would have been a disaster.
It's OK, not bad, not fantastic - somewhere in the middle. Good simple display design whilst driving - uncluttered which I like. Took me a little while to figure out the search and favourites features but they work OK. Slightly slower to recalculate route than other apps but only by seconds. Some bizarre routing main options sometimes going miles out the way needlessly even alternatives can be a bit strange, but it'll get you there. Email sent to Devs about route planning
Fantastic app for navigation. Only Android auto connectivity is lacking! Please do it. Other apps are already supporting android auto.
Your maps are not up-to-date. Many places are not picked up. Not only the old places, what to talk about new places. Needs updating badly
It was wonderful so I wanted to install it on the android set of my new corolla as well but could not due to compatibility issue. Can you guys help me solve this
Err, can't get past downloading map screen, says I have no internet connection, the fact that can uninstall and redownload the app suggests there's a bug there. *Edit. After reply from Karta tried reinstalling, same problem, can't get past downloading map screen. **Edit . No change. Same issue. It is the map for Ireland I can't download. Uninstalling, might try again if problem is fixed.
Good app. But please add a way to update a map with the current OpenStreetMap version, on request. Once or twice a year might not be enough, depending on how many things have changed in your area. My last map update is from July 2020 and many things have been fixed since then, but I can't benefit from that in Karta GPS.
It's OK but the pay for options are too expensive against similar products unfortunately. £2.99 to remove adds... £8.99 for traffic etc. Whilst it's not going to break the bank, other apps are cheaper and offer exactly the same which is a shame as its a clean interface if you have deeper pockets than sense. Great shame...
A very wonderful application .. and saves the driver, especially when there is no Internet service. Note only .. Is it possible to add the service (the speed limit for each street) on the screen beside the speed of the car. I think it will be very useful
Consumed my entire cell data plan in hours WHILE CONNECTED TO WIFI!!! Unacceptable! This is a reply to your response. I have 4 mapping apps on my phone. This is the ONLY one that consumes cell data for map updates while connected to wifi. 3GB in less than 2 hrs while running in the background!
this app has two major problems - I can't hear it and I can't see it. I can't find anyway to play the sound through my bluetooth radio and when I'm driving to map zooms out so much all Ican see are lines. I do think the app has a lot of potential but the developers should lok at other aps such as Sygic which seem to offer more user options. I wil be uninstaling this becuase for me it is unusable.
This is the best app I tried better than those expensive app. It's really will guide you to your destination turn by turn but there's some roads or streets that is missing which is more shorter distance, The Map might need to update hope this will fix. I'm from the Philippines.
Amazes by this apps simplicity. First app I buy almost was soon as I opened it. My experience in using nav apps is extensive, that is the reason for my quick description. I use Google maps as the base that has improved 1000 % over the total time I started using it. As an insurance executive to now being retired, I depend more and more on accurate and easy to use RV ing in US, from Alaska to San Diego, Ca., to The tip of Baja in Mexico, to boondocking in Az, NM, and all the way to Seattle..etc
It seems good offline Nav app, but tested it around our area +- 3 miles. It kept saying that I will merge left. but it's a straight line. This is not a freeway. Looking at the map, there's just a very slight curve, but this is only the Nav that tells me to merge left. This will be very confusing if I'm not familiar with the place.
