close to perfect would be perfect if it allows users to change the colour of the text instead of just the background colour. This is because if users want to use dark theme say changing background colour to black, no one would be able to read the text as it is still in gray.
One of the best apps for studying Japanese, and is great for reading. I use the clipboard listener function extensively for reading websites, articles, LINE messages, emails, and Twitter posts. Each new update brings added functionality which only adds to the app.
The app is great but needs improvement, I suggest to add the functionality of coloring the already known jlpt words and the words in process of learning in the app.
Very simple to use, its totally awesome that this integrates with AnkiDroid! Very helpful application for learning practical Japanese.
Love the idea for the app. Would be a million stars if when exporting words to ankidroid it also exported the source sentence.
Great idea but needs some work on the compatibility with other apps and anki
Doesn't work on Android 10
amazing and incredibly useful
the best
This is a great app! It really helps me to read Japanese. Definitely essential to living in Japan.
As I mainly use my phone and tablet to study Japanese, Kata fills the gap left by browser translation extensions such as Yomichan and Rikaichan. One of my must have tools for studying Japanese!
Awesome app! Thanks for putting in the effort to build this
Well-done! what an awesome programming skill, it's do as it supposed to! I recommend it! note for dev: please update the dictionary content, and fix bug that some times the words get stuck all on one paragraph, you need to read the [enter and space] html coding only, coz it will make the reading error if tabs or other code readed when copied from webside...
perfect for furigana reading but there is no option to Copy & paste from the app to another usage such as into word or notepad , whatsup& massage. please improve。
Not a good sign when the app parses the 間 from の間で as ま instead of 間. It's like, right in the example text for the tutorial. Nobody reads it にっぽん either unless they're ancient. Definitely needs a dictionary update, I imagine it uses a really old version of a shareware version which is understandable but that being the case this needs some bolts tightened before I recommend it. Maybe add a function for users to submit tickets for wrong readings? Hinders more than it helps.
