I got the hybrid watch as a gift and the over all look of the watch is beautiful but it doesnt stay connected to the app for more than a day at a time. I have to delete the app almost every day and reinstall/sync the watch just to get it to work. Personally I like my Fitbit better because it does more and stays connected to my phone.
well I'm not sure if it's the app or the device that's inaccurate but its doesn't seem to produce the proper results. I say this because it gave me a reading of a lot of steps (I think like 400) after sitting at my desk for 30 mins 🤷🏾♀️. btw I had noticed it before reading some of the reviews but especially noticed after... but the app does have a few cool features like the find my fone ring option ...
The app was glitchy at times before but this latest update has rendered almost entirely useless. The watch hands no longer move to show me which app is alerting me, the vibrations are no longer different between apps, and worst of all, the phone call vibration only shows up when I miss a call. If I'm expecting a call, I need my volume on... I have this watch so I can keep my phone on silent! Been working with their app support but no updates since mid-May. I'm shopping for a different watch now.
Please Read. I hope all owners of Kate Spade hybrid watches are aware that this app will no longer be supported beginning May 1st. You will be logged out of the app. What does that mean for the watches? They will be useless and unusable. They won't even be able to tell time once the battery runs out. Perhaps you can use they as decorative paper weights.
Most features no longer work after I updated app last year. Basically just a regular watch now. I have seen many, many complaints about this. You would think for the price you pay for the watch that over year after everyone's watches stopped working that they would have at least tried to resolve the issue. Very disappointing.
Same problem as previous posts. After update hands no longer move for notifications. Only vibrations, ruined a good app. Spoke to support 3 times had me Un installing, changing notifications, repairing Bluetooth but no success, going in circles. Found version 1. 17.0 after Un installing the latest version and installing this one, everything works perfectly as it did before. If it ain't broke........now I have had to prevent auto updates, wrote to developer no reply. Please fix this problem.
Is there a reason why I can't turn off the notifications? I hit off, but then they kick back on. Sometimes I get a lot of texts and don't need an alert. also I wish I could change the number of times it vibrates. Ps your developer email doesn't work!
I went to replace my battery for the second time. The jeweller was unable to remove the back. It appears to be corroded and never been in water. Cost $25 each time. A very expensive watch to maintain
I'm just getting into the the smartwatch game, and this hybrid is perfect for me. With more looks like a traditional watch yet all the tech to follow my steps, sleep, and even social calendar! Love it! Easy to learn to use! Easy to learn to navigate!
To everybody that is posting in the reviews that the watch hands no longer move after the last update...the company is aware because before I read the reviews I had emailed them and after I read the reviews I sent them screenshots like clearly it's an app problem. They've done nothing! They said they sent it over to their software team but I haven't heard any more about it... Update: It is well over a year since the watch has worked. So disappointing
The app works fine, but it records a lot fewer statistics for Kate Spade's SmartWatch than the corresponding apps for the Fitbit and Apple SmartWatches. And it doesn't count flights of stairs climbed. BMR isn't calculated, either; so the calories calculated are based on steps alone and no other body activity.
Love the look and the possibility of the functions, however I have never been able to get it to work consistently. Tried new batteries and resets but the smart capabilities have never worked more than 2 days.
The individual notifications do not work. I have contacted Tech support several times, been to Fossil and Kate Spade and no one can figure out why it's not working. App says there is an update but nothing is there. I was even told that maybe I need a phone when I have an S9.
When I first received the watch, I couldn't get it hooked to the app. After the time keeping stopped, I replaced the battery. Reloaded the app and all is well. The sleep tracker isn't super accurate but it will due. The lookof the watch is pretty.
There isn't enough detail to sleep and nap times. i expected wayyyyyyyyy more from this product. Quite disappointed. And... you apparently cannot set more than one goal. Not enough info readily available on the use of this item. It just isn't enough for me. Love the appearance, not loving the functionality.
I love that the hybrid looks like a real watch and acts like a smartwatch. I wish it would synch up with my fitness pal or runkeeper. They are really popular apps I'm surprised they aren't an option.
This tracker doesn't count steps properly. It over counts, adding steps that I know I didn't take. Disappointing. Also, I think the sleep tracker was off on hours as well. I wish it had a screen and worked properly.
Works well for me. I don't understand all the complaints. It's a good basic base app for maintaining your initiative. If you expect more, then pay for more. LOVE the discreet and fashionable bracelet.
the activity tracker is definitely off. i walk all day for work, full 9h, very little time sitting or standing yet my activity tracker on this app rarely goes past 6,000 steps. which i easily walk within the first 3h of my shift (my phone has a separate tracker and ive also worn step counters). sleep tracker is also off. i cant get 7 hours of sleep if i go to bed at 12:30 and wake up at 6. watch also dosent always vibrate for notifications. all in all its just ok.
Ever since the March 30th update, I am having issues with the notifications. The watch vibrates, but the hand does not move when there is a new notification. This is quite frustrating!
never syncs up right. does not teach steps. and who the f@#k could sleep with this watch on? it's huge & bulky. the whole app/watch is not very user friendly. i would not recommend. sorry!
Don't know if is the app or the watch but it keep "diconnecting" or not responding. Haven't been able to use IT. Only once when I bougt IT, after that can't connect it, pair IT with watch and or "find" the device.
I'm not sure if it's the app or the watch itself but the connection between the two is finicky. When I first got the watch it seemed to stay connected around 90% of the time but after about eight months it started dropping the connection more regularly and now, at about a year, I'm lucky if it connects at all. The app is fine, there's just not much point to it if my watch won't connect. :(
