KBCC Mobile

KBCC Mobile is Kingsborough Community College's newest tool for the information age. The KBCC Mobile app is your companion on or off campus, use it to look up Staff or Faculty in our school Directory Module. Our custom Campus Map will direct you to your classroom, never confuse a building name or location since all buildings have photos for easy identification. Use our Courses Module to look up information about your classes including, class time, location (with map location integration), professor name, etc. Our handy Calendar Module includes KBCC Academic Schedules, as well as a college-wide popular events feed. Our Emergency module provides easy access to Public Safety phone numbers, Emergency closures, and links to Emergency Websites such as CUNY Alert, FEMA and NYC OEM.
Future modules to include:

Bus: Find when will the next School Bus arrive/leave the campus. Library: Access to all library online resources from the palm of your hand. Sports: KCC Wave and sports related news and schedules.

The app is working well, except the maps. On my Galaxy 4 it shows just a grey screen instead of a map, but pins are working.

This application, while functional, is very poorly laid out. Please adhere to human interface guidelines when creating applications and make this compatible with the new user interface frameworks openly available online for Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). As it stands, although the application works, it is very trivial to navigate and it performs poorly due to not using the latest libraries. As a developer, I can only give this two stars until it is properly rewritten.

The only thing that would be great, is to be able to access my student email since it's such a pain to access on your browser. But this is a nice app and easy to navigate.
