2 weird things: 1. Sometimes the videos skip forward by a few seconds, then rewind to the original position. It slows down the overall exercise a bit, and can become confusing when in the middle of a pose. 2. I get notifications to purchase premium content, but I don't see any way to do this. Other than these 2 minor issues, this app is so useful for yoga training and motivating me to get some exercise in.
The practices are very good, but there are some glitches in the audio where you can hear the woman repeating herself sometimes. Another point that I would recommend an improvement is the time that breaths are required in a certain position: For me is too quick and when I look at the screen they are in a different pose already. Also, the morning routine have the video and the audio out of sync
The concept of the app is great. The overall look and feel, especially the Android TV integration are superior to some of the other apps out there. However, I, too, am experiencing glitches mostly in audio, but in video, as well. They definitely reduce the relaxing effect of any workout and make it sometimes difficult to follow along. However, I'm certain, that this can be rather easily fixed, whence I would be happy to give 5 stars! :)
I am using this app approx 2 months right now and I'm really happy to exercise with the app. If you have some basic knowledge about breathing and basic postures of yoga, it's better for your exercise..you know where and how to "feel it". The guide of the lessons has very smooth voice, and the music is relaxing too. I usually do the morning/evening back/neck relaxing lessons or posture corrections. The app is for free. You can also find some discussions about food there. Thumbs up!
The app overall seems quite good, certainly has many routines and programs. The timing is the real downfall, and the developers seem to know that the audio and video often gets out of sync. Also, the instructions say to take 3 or 5 or 10 breaths, but then the audio and/or video moves on in 2 seconds. The list of poses in a routine need to link to lots of description and a looping video of the pose, not text saying more info during the routine!! Beginners need lots more instruction!!!
Have been using this app for a few years. It's a great beginners yoga app, to do at home. It's great having each class broken down by category and time. Also love being able to select a program to follow for a week. It's very easy to use and the videos are great. Occasionally the spoken instruction and video are out of sync. But it's only the odd occasion and it's a free app!
There are great ideas in this app executed terribly. I love the idea of small "plans" and started the posture correction plan. The narration has been spliced horribly; words are repeated nonsensically. The timing is totally off; she says "take five breaths here" and moves on to something else immediately. She tells you to put your hands impossible places (that the model can't, either). If I didn't already know these poses, I'd be screwed. And there is no pause for you to look and figure it out!
Really enjoyed the content but will stop using the app. Initially, I was able to tolerate some hiccups where the visual and the audio weren't matched up. However, I have encountered two videos where the voice guidance was suddenly cut off, causing me to have to constantly look at the video to catch the next moves. This has seriously made the experience gone bad. Hope the team could do something about it to improve the app experience.
The app has been awesome, super great videos and the voice of the guidance is very soothing. However recently I'm having trouble with the sound, some of the yoga practices cut out the sound completely after the first 1 or 2 min of the video. It's more difficult to follow without assistance. Also the videos glitch and move backward or cut forward sometimes in the middle of an exercise which is also frustrating .
Been using the app for 3 days in a row and I'm really liking it! I have two suggestions to improve the experience: 1) Show in different angles some movements so the position of some parts be more clear. And 2) Create a kind of sound that let us know we have to look to the screen to switch position/movement, maybe a gong. But I'm having a real good experience so far. Thanks!
This app is just amazing. It's the first app ever that actually makes me wanna do more and more each time I use it, which is basically every day. Every workout seems like you're doing a professional one in a studio and makes you feel great afterwards and the reminders are in a very kind way (which is great, cause you don't even feel bad, when you don't find the time every day) Keep is something for everybody and every situation and also the free version is definitely good enough!!
I wanted to see what yoga was all about so I downloaded this app. It is really good and best of all, doesn't seem to be built around blagging you to pay for everything. There are plenty of free routines and even a weekly plan for extra commitment. The only niggle I have is with the instructional audio. The audio doesn't fit together properly so the instructions are cut up before they merge with the next routine so you get a few seconds of repetition instead of seamless play throughout the workout
I used to use this app some time ago, when there was only a Chinese version, and I quite liked it. The two star review is for the current version only. Theres a big glitch: each pose in each video gets repeated twice, including the instruction. I tested multiple videos in both English and Chinese. I love this app, but it's useless until the glitch is fixed.
I think the routines are very comprehensive and theyre great for a beginner. Definitely better than other yoga apps I've tried. However, this last routine I did was so full of skips that entire transitions were missing and the instructor would end up in the middle of the next pose. Poses also often repeat themselves like broken records. Love the app so I hope this gets fixed as I would like to use it more often.
This app is wonderful for setting achievable goals and giving good instruction on how to correctly do the poses. It would be a bit better if, when it says to do something for 5 breaths, it actually gave you time to do this. Or, when it suggests staying in shivasana for at least 5 minutes, it played the music for that leangth of time before moving to the end. All in all, very pleased with this! Glad I found it!!
The beginner yoga practices were not very 'beginner' like. I found 3/4 of the anti-stress poses impossible to complete, not excellent for stress reduction. I want to enjoy learning something new, not feel angry and unsuccessful. Edit: Gave it another try and my original opinion holds, unfornately. I really want a good yoga app to get started, but that's proving very difficult. If you are fit and flexible, this app is great. If you trying to get there, look elsewhere.
I absolutely love this app. It has different workout sessions for different body errors and it's full of energising workout sessions which leaves my heart pounding just the right amount. You would have to download the videos everytime you click on a new workout session. The trainer, vocals & music in the background are perfect. Most importantly this app isn't overloaded with annoying ads and promos. You might get one ad but no pop ups etc. I highly recommend it.
I really love this app. I love how you earn points to unlock further practices (kind of like a video game!) The videos are informative and well done. the only thing is theres a bit of an audio glitch where it will randomly go back like 3 seconds then you're holding the poses longer but that's okay with me! it kind of breaks yogic concentration but once youre used to it it's not bad!
I do really want to like this app, but the timing of the video and the audio are not nice. The audio says we are going to stay in the position for 3 breaths, but then it moves VERY quickly to other position while I am still exhaling my first wave. I am kept torn to follow the audio or to watch the video, because they are in different pace. The audio sometimes keep repeating in nonsensical way. Please fix these issues!
I like this app overall, but there are some glitches: "keep this pose and breathe 5x" means you have 3 seconds to hold the pose (you have to press pause if you really want to breathe 5x). Also, the following workouts are personalized depending on if you press "it's just right" or "too hard" or "too easy" at the end (you get asked after every practice), so the moves during the practice may change and it becomes glitchy, sometimes repeating the same move or repeating the voice over instructions.
Love love love Really wish they had more music and programs available. One music playlist and only 3 programs to choose from. I really love all the practices they have on there but without a plan I don't get convenient notifications. A very small suggestion. None of this discourages me from using the app although, these types of changes could get me to use the app more.
