Fixed -- I really like this app, especially the password generator. I do have a problem. Recently when I go to log into another app, I copy the username and paste it in the other app. Then when I return to KeePass2, it is locked, forcing me to log in again. It didn't use to exhibit that behavior. It is very annoying to have to log into Keepass2 twice. Perhaps there is some setting I inadvertently turned on, but I can't find it. If KeePass didn't have this issue, I would give it 5 stars. -- Tom
Nice, clean interface to a KeePass2 database with auto-fill support for both websites and apps. You can store the database locally, or sync it to a network server - and there are a lot of supported options ranging from your own SSH or WebDav server through NextCloud and up to the major cloud services like DropBox, OneDrive etc. Syncing is almost seamless, too. I'll often add a password on my desktop (where I use KeePassXC), then open up my phone and it's synced already. Or vice versa.
It does what it's supposed to do. I like that I can view attachments (pics i.e.) within the app. I had just one flaw recently after using it for many years... I did change a pw within the app, the pw-file got stored in my Dropbox but next time I wanted to open it the app did 'synchronize' for hours without being able to open. The updated copy of the pw-file could be opened on my desktop though. Only a deinstallation and a following new installation of the app helped to use it again.
I use KeePass for Windows as my password manager, and this app comes real handy to give me access to my vault on my phone. It's very simple in its design and very easy to use, and it allows me to unlock my vault with my fingerprint. I recently started to see an issue with Google Drive, but I followed the workaround instructions, and that seemed to solve the problem for me.
I only use this app to read my database maintained by Windows Keepass on Google Drive, along with a keyfile which is stored just on the mobile devices for an added measure of security. I've recently run into an issue when installed on my Chromebook: For whatever reason, loading the database is very slow (~2-3 mins) using the same 600Mbps Internet connection as my other devices, which load it nearly instantly. Perhaps Keypass2Android is not optimized for Chrome OS, or any other words of wisdom?
Been using this for a few weeks now and am very impressed. Easy to use app that is fully compatible with KeePass for Windows. I use both together with the same password database. I store the kdbx database (but not the key file😉) on Microsoft OneDrive (free version) so both phone and PC can seamlessly access it -- I'd recommend this to those struggling with Google Drive.
3 star for now. It is easy to use and simple to fill out. The constant switching between the keyboards is a little funky for a Google phone. I do not see any method to import any passwords from google chrome to keepass2android other than manual entry.
Liked this till it wouldn't allow access to passwords unless you have access to dropboxes as default. In reply: In my case it would open then stop at sign requirement for onedrive (my apolgise wasnt dropbox). If I didnt enter a valid username/password it wouldnt let me go further. It took searching on google to find a solution to stop it defaulting to this. My guess this was unintended but a voluntary dont open button was the only thing needed.
Since the last update I cannot edit or add anything anymore. There appears an error about the access to a tmp file being denied. Also the app is extremely confusing to setup (for example the fingerprint unlock), like other people also note. Once setup, I don't dare to change any setting anymore.
Does the job, but the user experience is very clunky. Biometrics don't work with the "Enable Biometric unlock for QuickUnlock" option. Two taps needed for copying the password. Pressing the password field would be an UX improvement. The UI feels like it was done in 2010. Please consider updating it. Edit: biometric quick unlock works, apparently the option "Biometric unlock for quick unlock" is broken, the third one works all the time. UI is still long overdue for an overhaul.
Couldn't do without this. The only slight issue is possibly the UI seems a bit confusing in the menus but it's free and that more than makes up for it. It blinking works, which seems uncommon for apps!!
This app is excruciatingly slow when you're in a hurry. Google's now blocking this app because apparently you're trying to access sensitive information in my Google account...also the search is kinda broken, doesn't pull up everything while KeePass actually works perfectly. I guess it's time to join the big boys and just go get a one pass subscription.
Great App but I give it 3 stars because of the following reasons: Please include the ability to use pattarn unlock or facial recognition methods stored in device credentials for quick unlock. Lack of this feature inconveniences me because my phone doesn't have biometric hadware. Also add a black theme. The current dark theme isn't dark enough.
Recently stopped allowing me to use the Quick Unlock feature. I don't see this as a known issue in reviews. Why has this broken on my S10+? Thanks to response from developer I added this to Never Sleeping Apps and it is back to perfection. Must have been removed during latest upgrade. Thank You!
Would be nice if it didn't break in 5 days. Getting composite error when trying to log in. When you choose to use KeePass to log in, you have to type in the last 3 of your KP password. This only worked for 5 days. Seems my database is corrupt already resulting in having to reset the passwords I originally reset on websites. Bummer since this took some time to set up.
I use Onedrive to store the database and I am unable to access the current version of that database. No idea why it doesn't work. The system file picker cannot open a downloaded version either so it's pretty much unusable.
Very good. Real open source KeePass application for Android with all the required features. Be careful, new apps on the store take advantage of the notoriety of KeePass without being open source.
Good app that does almost everything I'd like it to. The exception is that it does not allow my phone's KeePass database to synchronise with one on my Box drive. It would be great if this feature could be added.
Great password manager. Thanks! Issues with gDrive corrected, but first needed to clear cache/storage and reconnect the drive; otherwise, continuously received a "name empty: null" error.
I've been using this app for a few years and would give it 5 stars but.... What is up with having to suddenly start changing to a special keyboard!? This is truly inconvenient and has no logic. Ready to change to a new app.
I think it works well until it stops allowing you access to the source file of the passwords and most times logs in automatically to sites. it sometimes has problems in apps, however. Stopped working for a second time Ive moved on to Roboform.
This was a perfect app, but now the auto clear functionality that deletes the clipboard content after a set time doesn't work anymore. It used to work just fine.
I've been using this on my cell phones since 2015 .. no problems until November 2021 when it couldn't open my password database after i upgraded my microSDxc card. 20220214 - Still struggling, final attempt is to reinstall, otherwise zero stars!
The app works great, works with other tools, and has an excellent interface. It's compatible with my Yubikey. It's compatible with the password database I created in KeePassXC on my Linux desktop with said Yubikey, no finagling required. The project is actively maintained as you can see from its GitHub page.
Amazing app, I like it. It needs some UI improvements, but all the important components are available in it. It connects perfectly with my Dropbox account. There are some clunky things when the suggested passwords pop up from time to time due to different android version or security problems. Good work, thanks for your time developing it.
The app is awesome, works perfectly with keepass's database, correctly configured you can even use it for totp password, and with cloud or a synchronization tool, never lose your "Google auth" anymore. That aside, the last update (or maybe it is the switch to this last android version) I can no longer open this database, despite granting access to the storage, it error out with a read only access ( * is an actual path ): System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path '*' is denied
