I am still using KeePass 1x on my PCs and have been using this app on my phone since I first switched to an Android Phone back in 2013 or 14 (I don't remember exactly when it was). I do most of my password creation on my desktop PC, occasionally some on my laptop PC, very rarely on my phone. I keep a copy of my kbd file in a cloud account which allows me to access it from all three devices. This app works great for allowing me to access my passwords for the few sites/apps that I need a password to access from/on my phone. I have had no problems with it in the past 6 plus years that I have used it, it does everything I need it to do. Thank you so much for creating it.

The absolute best Password Vault for security, versatility, customizability, personalization, and ease of use! Trust me, I tried LastPass, Dashlane & TruKey before giving KeePass a try and I work I had tried it much earlier. I'm in the cyber security industry, so I know how important it is to actively maintain login credentials, but I'm human so I also know how easy it is to forget to regularly update passwords, and how difficult it is to remember different passwords for every subscription, membership and account. An encrypted Password Vault is not only a convenience in the 21st century, it's a necessity...and as a professional, I recommend KeePass for yours.

Fantastic! KeePass is excellent, if you understand what it is and what it isn't. KeePass isn't 'cloud' software. It's a really good local password manager, you're responsible for backing up your password database files. --- There is no 'cloud', it's just someone elses computer! --- If you want security you can depend on, the details matter. KeePass is a powerful tool towards achieving security and convienence.

I have used for over 15yrs. Works great. Ideal for what I am trying to achieve with security and privacy concept. This tool will definitely help with that. Occasional glitches in app version 1.0xxxxx... using Android devices. Improvements have occurred with each update and I am about to achieve the full sync experience I hope...since I just configured my devices and they are ready and on 2.0 version of Software. Desktop runs 5***** smooth.

Since about a week ago, I am having issues with saving the database on my Android phone. The database is stored on Google Drive and every time I am adding anything new to it, upon saving, I cannot open the database anymore because the password is no longer recognized. Luckily, the cloud storage solution supports versioning, but anything added extra gets lost. Is this a bug you are aware of? Thanks!

No matter what I do, no matter how hard I try, I always come back to using this app for keeppass databases because it's the cleanest, most consistent way to grab passwords effortlessly. Other apps have more features like autofilling, but they're inconsistent and don't follow my usual workflow. This one is still the best, would highly recommend.

Tried to add a new entry and the app instantly logged out. I couldn't login anymore, either with the master password or with a fingerprint scan. Tried fixing the database by importing it as a Repair File in the Windows version but it couldn't be fixed. Lost all my stored passwords. Apart from that, I created a new database without any entries and that got corrupted, too.

Fantastic! Compatible with all of my KeyPass database files, and makes it easy to use the convenience of KeyPass on your phone! I love the Android swipe-down feature: to copy usernames and passwords to the clipboard right from the Android control panel. It's nice not having to switch between apps just to copy. There is also a biometric option for phones with fingerprint scanner a that will allow you to open your databases using your fingerprint after you enter and save the master password once.

Love the app and have been using it flawlessly for years. However, Google Drive synch has broken recently. Opening the file from Google Drive works, but saving an entry doesn't get synched back to google. Even though Google Drive pops up a notification saying it is synchronising files. I gathered this probably isn't a KeePassDroid issue, but noticed a lot if recent reviews mentioned Goole Drive breaking. At least it's not just me.

Love how it provides notifications to get the username or password instead of having to switch to the app. Free and open source, which is awesome. But the UI is not pretty. And it's great you can open kdbx files from Google Drive, but you cannot label them and their names are nonsense so it's tough to use multiple databases.

I've been using this app for years & it has been great! Earlier today the DB got corrupted as others have experienced. Tried to revert to my Dropbox version but found it had not sync'd in over a year. 😳 Found DB file on phone & emailed it to myself to access from PC. Downloaded KeePass v1.38 (v2.44 won't work as DB is v1.x) on PC. Under Tools, ran Repair Database File, chose DB, and voila! It repaired it. Copied back to phone & verified it works and syncs with Dropbox. I hope this helps.

I like KeePass, and use it on my PC (Windows 10), but in this Android version, there doesn't seem to be a way to explicitly import/export the database. I'd like it better if there was an import/export menu item, which in particular worked with the database from the PC. Sure, I could *try* explicitly copying the file from the PC to the Android, but I feel superstitious, and don't want to go through the trouble of finding that it doesn't work...so I painfully manually type-in the few passwords I need. That's why an explicit import/export command (menu item) would be appreciated.

Seems like the only trustworthy KeePass app. I just hope the biometrics scanner gets fixed. (I've almost no doubt it's because Google or Samsung did something to their APIs that broke this.) System Integration and a UI/UX update would be nice too. (for me it would be making the db file display more streamlined and simple with the option to see advanced info like fullpath, etc. I just want to know which web database file is selected and last updated at a glance.)

Was great but not any more! Used this app for 2-3 years and been excellent. Sadly, as others have found, recently has started refusing to open password files. Advises wrong password, even though same file with same password that it has worked ok with for many months previously. No use to me now and have had to uninstall. Very disappointing.

It works & it's free!!! Been using Keepass on my Windows PC for years. This is great for all my android devices. Only (minor) complaint, it would be great if it could use the Google cloud backup of PC Keepass. Usually have to download file periodically from Google Drive.

This special app has served me greatly over the years. It has trust-worthy permissions. It is starting to date somewhat now though, for example see the account limited icon set. More importantly though, I have a ton of accounts in here but it seems to lack the ability to move existing accounts from one group to another as account groups get too big.

Used it for years. Used to work great. Now useless. Often fails to open the database, and when you get it to open, it cannot save changes. Tried database saved to Dropbox and Google drive, and now two different devices. Just doesn't work anymore. Sent an email - no response

AVOID. Far too unstable to be of use. Feedback history indicates long-term problems with database corruption after record deletion, meaning the file cannot be opened and so all information is lost. EDIT 2: latest version claims to have fixed the corruption problem, but having tried and failed to open the old file this obviously only applies to new files, meaning we're all still locked out, so there's no point in using this app when we've started from scratch with another more stable one.

Been using the app for years, simple and just worked. Last update corrupted database with cannot log in error. Completely unrecoverable. Had to pull a backup of the database and that worked, but I know it will corrupt it again. Going to be finding a new solution and hoping that I didn't lose to many passwords since my last backup.

After entering your password you click 'ok's to enter the app. The ok button stopped working. I emailed and got no response. I've done online research and can't find a solution. It's been a week and I cannot access my passwords. I'm hoping I backed up since my latest additions because I'm going to switch to a different app.

What happened to clearing the clipboard? I have my timeouts for clipboard and to lock the app at 1 minute. However I have noticed that recently after accessing some account information, that the username and password in the notification area never go away unless I manually dismiss them. And even when I do manually dismiss the notifications, the password remains in my clipboard for hours at the very least, if not longer, Hours later I can paste, and there's my super secret username and password still there. In fact I took a look in the clipboard and every username and password I have accessed for quite a while is in there. Including my bank account. I am not a happy camper and am busy trying to find a different solution. This is not acceptable.

There is a little learning curve involved for setting up the app and using it comfortably, but once that hurdle is crossed, this app is the best at what it does. No nonsense lightweight does what it says "on the tin can". UI could do with some minor refresh (still like an app made for the 90s). Solid 8.5/10 from me.

Danger!!!! I have been using this app for years without any issues; however after an OS update to Android 10 my master password/finger print would not open the database anymore. The backups would also not open. After trying multiple rebuilds I am now resigned to the fact that I have to reconstruct my entire password database using a more supported password manager. This app is not supported by the developer. Look elsewhere.

Dar. J. Mar 12, 2019

Don't know when it started but the latest version is unsafe. The timeout setting clears the notification bar and locks the database, but it doesn't clear the clipboard. Hence, all passwords would be stored and visible in plain text in the system clipboard.

Really enjoy using this app. Does what it advertises and the Fingerprint functionallity works great aswell. Would only wish for a fuzzy-search functionallity when searching for entries as well has having entries appear immediately on key-stroke instead of having to press the "search" button, but that's just my personal preference.

I use this app w/ the KeePass 1.x database from my PCs. My pet peeve is that I have to open the database from my phone's file manager. Fine for the first time, but if I open KPD directly, it'll show a "open recent database (w/ link)," ask for the password & then state that it can't find the file. Frustratin'!

Great concept but did not work well with moto app to hide navigation buttons in favor of using finger print sensor for Back, Home and task manager. Each key press on the login screen alternates between hiding and unhiding the buttons, which moves the keyboard up and down with each key press. It takes me about two minutes to enter my password as a result.
