KENS 5

Most of the stories I see are 1-2 minute videos. I usually prefer a written story anyway, but the mandatory 15/30 second, no skippable ad, really doesn't make it feel worth it. On top of that, when a notification is more than an hour old, tapping on it will open the app but NOT take me to the story. I usually can't find the story I'm looking for based on the notification.

Video Orientation - The only issue I have with this is with the live video. It has great video quality BUT when it rotates out back to landscape the screen goes white out with only the kens5 header showing. I can still hear the audio though. I just have to go back to the main screen and start the live video again. Overall this is a great app.

I don't like it. I can't find the radar like before for Del Rio, Hondo, Helotes, etc. I'm going to uninstall. Hard to navigate. I get notifications of news on my phone,I click on it, then I don't see anything about the notification. The app takes a long time to load. You have to see a screen that has Good Morning, Afternoon, Evening, takes about 35 seconds before the news. It wasn't that way before you changed App.

Cannot get the weather, news or search like I used to without so many pop up ads. Makes the site worthless.

I am a huge KENS5 fan! I love the professionalism and friendliness of the newscast and I think the broadcasting of shows is excellent. The only thing I would change is that then I'm watching the NCIS replays you cannot hardly hear the commercials. But if you turn your volume up to where you can hear the commercials the TV program is blaring. But that is a small sacrifice for the service that I'm getting on the all Access service.

the latest update is not user friendly and has too many advertisements in the way. took me twice as long to read the stories i wanted to read due to inability to scroll and having to start back at top of home page each time. shut down twice in the first few minutes of using it as well. should be called a downgrade instead of an update.

No matter how many times I turned off watch Ken's 5 live push notifications, cleared cache/app data, I installed and reinstalled it would still send me push notifications for watch live. It also wouldnt send any weather notifications even though I had that push notification allowed. A lot of lengthy ads, too many and too long even though I like kens 5 tv news the app needs some bugs fixed and the ability to skip ads faster like YouTube allows.

KENS5 is a News Station focused on giving you the news stories that is important & important to you. Like the colorful opening pictures! Sometimes the videos will be dark, when you are returning to watch them, after sending the to others. I would like to see a sidebar on the app, of the Latest Stories, Breaking Stories, Top Stories, Weather & current temperature & conditions showing & a place on each section & story where you can save stories as favorites & return to them @ another date & time.

This app is terrible. Why do y'all run commercials during one of your news stories? It's like I get to watch more commercials than actual news. Why cant yall just run commercials during normal times when theres breaks? Someone really needs to look at the person doing this job and either have them sync up the commercials when the breaks happen or just get rid of your app all together cause its junk.

Very little, if any real news. The app has devolved into a local National Enquirer. The new format of all videos is a memory hog and wastes the phone resources. Some of us still know how to read, we don't want or need to watch videos constantly! Removing this app.

I like the app but I miss the live news option. It dose not work well on the update. News articles were easy to find as well, this is just my honest opinion but all in all the app works fine.

Receive notification about the live stream but if you leave the video for a second you are not able to find the live stream video on menu. Many times there is no sound.. But don't worry the ADS work perfectly loud and repeatedly

Gimmicky. All I wanted was local weather news/updates and no matter how many times I changed the settings, it woukd still send me push notifications for National News which I was not interested in receiving at all, let alone several times a day! Takes a VERY long time to load when you open it.

Was able to see and hear advertisements very clearly, just not the contentl. Segments and live broadcasts were choppy and audio was poor. Will try back in 6-9 months. Will give other local stations a try. There's always free HULU.

I, wish you news cast can bring the old version of the app for Kens 5. This, new its not great at all it freezes and i have to go and start my news over. Please, consider in updating a better version than this one. I, have been watching kens 5 since i moved here 34 years ago. Right, now i dont have no app news and i miss my alerts when there is breaking news. Thanks!!!

Disappointed in this app. Use to be able to watch the live streaming of the news. Now, I am not able to. Was wanting to watch the live stream of the weather when my tv signal goes out. But, it was no longer there. Please, bring that feature back.

The app send you notification of a breaking story and when you click on that thinking it will take you to that headline it doesn't. It takes you to the last story you had open. Then it's almost impossible to find the story you intended to read.

The prior version's layout was much easier to navigate and was aesthetically pleasing. This is a poor execution of a "high tech" upgrade.

The old app was SO MUCH EASIER 2 use I LOVED IT BUT Now where is the ALLERGY TAB - WEATHER MAPS from all over the state. Then while reading a story it will CLOSE - NOT JUST BACK but I have 2 RESTART the WHOLE APP AGAIN & that FREEZING Makes my WHOLE FONE FREEZE-UP & there goes my fone. WAY 2 much videos Layout is ok - pretty but Not being able 2 see other MAPS -ALLERGY REPORT & then FREEZING/CLOSING - PLEASE FIX THANK U

Way too many ads and bs just want the news and the not the same news add over again after 8 or nine weeks. Do t belive me just watch a news add dont forget you have to watch a commercial first then after watching that there will be a news add from a long time ago with a news anchor that was awesome but doesnt even work there any more. Stop all the ads its ridiculous. Fix that and actually have more than a 30 second clip and report the whole truth and I will add back

It seems like the app has it's 2nd wind now but it's still not as good as it was before. They need to insert the anchors and reporters bios. Hopefully this is a work in progress app. Deborah Knapp is great!

Don't hv cable anymore, tv set is on the blitz since we disconnected over price cable service! KENS is the only place I rely on to get open honest News, whether its local, national or worldwide. This site allows the lower income bracket to continue to see what matters. No one thinks of the people who can't afford access through over priced cable service but KENS is always available!

It was so much straightforward before. I could quickly navigate the radar and breaking news. Now the radar is very glitchy and unreliable feeling. It is raining and windy at my house and the radar shows my area clear from any precipitation nearby.

I'm getting tired of getting notifications, clicking on them, and not finding the story in the app. It happens constantly.

Great so far, up to date on all news articles, no glitches, shutdowns or buffing too long for videos. Not as biased on politics as other news sources which is nice just hearing the facts. Great if your in Texas!

Terrible, app is completely useless. App freezez and crashes every time you scroll or try to go back. Previous version was much better, uninstalling.

Well organized news app, it's notifications settings are easy to manage and it looks pretty good. Easy for me to navigate.
