My phone connects to the kenwood radio and it pairs successfully, then i bring up the app and it keeps saying disconnected. On the radio i switched from ios to android but tge app does not connect. i can however play music from my phone to the radio. It's a shame controlling it does not work. My phone is a OnePlus 5T.
no button to connect, install, uninstall, over and over again. videos manual etc etc. Just doesn't do anything. Not connected. I have noticed stereo has no devices in the remote settings but phone is bt connected no problem
As others have said, it can't connect to the Kenwood stereo. It appears to do nothing. Even if it could, it has greatly reduced capability compared to the old Kenwood Remote App. What happened to that one? Bring it back!
There is limited functionality with the app on my Note20; it doesn't connect automatically and doesn't switch to Android App smoothly. Uninstalled/reinstalled a few times, hope it will get better.
May 6 2018, that is not only the date of release but, actually last time it was ever updated! I tried using this in 2019 didn't work, hasn't been updated so really doubt works now.
slow to connect. doesn't stay connected. wish there was an update that it would always stay connected and auto connect with Bluetooth.
If I could give it zero stars I would. Head units no longer come with an actual remote and instead force you to download... wait for it, an app that doesn't work. So, Kenwood, a leader in entertainment electronics can't get an entertainment electronic app to work. Am I following this correctly? What, did you let the intern develop it?
This app is total garbage like everybody else said. Apparently Kenwood has no plans to fix it either. Their Wireless Mirroring app for Android doesn't work as well. Kenwood truly is the king of garbage apps followed by Denon.
Kendwood app wont connect at all, thjs app really needs an update to fix, if they are this bad I should of gotten a different double din from another company that actually came with a remote and not an app.
Worst app ever. Why can we not just have a remote. This is useless and makes the radio pretty much useless at night when you are driving. You aren't supposed to use your phone.. What sense does this make?
Crashes. I contacted the developer but was directed to the Kenwood website which was no help because it says this is the compatible app for Android and kdc-bt772hd.
Downloaded it since the older version doesn't work with my Moto z4 since it's Android 10 and this one says disconnected even tho I'm connected need to get it fixed along with letting me use my Android 10 through USB on my kdc x303
App does not work at all. Called Kenwood customer service, they are aware of the issue but not doing anything to fix it. Sorry I ever purchased a Kenwood
Have tried everything I could find to try and get this app to work and it will not connect. Have even tried the iPhone app on an iPhone cant get it to work either.
Very limited functionality, probably really useful if you're outside the car, really just about it.
doesn't work properly , so why are you selling a such radio if it doesn't work ...i purchased it because i could lead the radio with my phone ..... i wish that you will find a solution on the future
Worthless, won't connect to the deck at all. Followed all the proper steps and still nothing.
It does not connect to my new Kenwood multimedia receiver. My phone blutooth connects to the receiver but not the Kenwood app.
It's not showing up on my ddx375bt not even connecting so therefore yall should've just made a remote with it and people wouldn't have these issues.
worked fine on adroid oreo but does not work on pie purchased my head unit because of the controls i had through the phone now upset because it doesnt work i hope kenwood would come out with update soon.

Everyone's right. Yet more Kenwood garbage. Where do you find these app developers. Nursery school or the ape house. Saying that I think a 4 year old would do a better job. Do you actually pay these people to produce this junk. Seriously Kenwood JVC read your reviews and do something about it or just do us all a favour and disappear, permanently.
Rubbish, just says 'disconnected' bluetooth definitely connected to head unit.
Works as it should. Wish there were more options for specific head units.

Car Stereo Outlet in Houston, Tx installed my deck on my 2000 Dodge Durango. I went back complaining that I should have had a remote to come with it. The nice lady inside advised me to install the Kenwood remote S It didn't work, I had the same experience as most on here. Showing disconnected. But I tried a few more things such as deleting the app, installed another version, still didn't work. Re installed the Kenwood S and wow. It works. Full control of all the preloaded apps on the stereo.
