It really sucks. When I had to enter my date of birth, I had to keep swiping for almost 30 minutes just to get the year I was born and I'm 46 years old. Typing it in would have been easier. Who's the idiot that designed this app. I miss my old bank, FCCU. This new Valley Strong also sucks.
Kern Schools is the best bank I've ever used. The app is pretty good too. Their people are fantastic and drive their success. Thank you for a great banking experience for the last couple of decades, and here's to a few more.
Horrible app! I cant set it up to work properly. In trying to gain entry they want to verify my identity...fine...so in asking my birthdate they show a calender with todays date, I THEN HAVE TO CLICK BACK FOR EVERY MONTH IVE LIVED FOR 34 YEARS!!!!!! Then finally I make it to my birth month and day, clicked on it and it showed up as TODAYS date!!! Chimpanzees designed this app! Its clunky!!! Horrible. Worst app Ive ever used!!
This app has updates released almost once every two weeks, and finally this latest update has finally broken a once stable app. I log in and it get to "loading accounts", then just hangs, and never comes back. I've uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. Please fix it and leave the app at a stable state for once.
Technical issues, constantly logs me out and I need to verify my account. I thought the app was hacked due to how frequently it started asking for my login information. I started feeling unsafe with this app. Needs updates immediately. Simple to use. I can't find the widget for budgeting anymore. I'd appreciate if we were able to personalize our accounts more.
When I first downloaded this app it was a great app easy to use convenient to check balances then after my second update it quit working absolutely no way to fix it. I've also noticed it seems to be an Android phone problem.
Up until 10/24/2018 this app was working just fine with my WiFi after the 24th this app will not work with my WiFi and only will work with my DATA from my cell phone using my 4G's. This makes no sense. Why is this app just junk?!?! Why would a major Credit Union run a app like this??? Weird doing customer service this way!! I just Love them holding my payments for 3 or 4 days when they need to be released so my payments aren't late! Update: as of November 28th, 2018 the app still does work. Won't even work after doing updates requested by customer service this morning of the 28th. Now have to call the bank every time I need my balance. This app is not useful nor customer friendly. 😥😟😣😭😠
If I could give this app a 0 I would. After forcing you to use their app over Zelle you now have no choice but to use this app which doesn't work half the time to send money to people you know. Between the slow response, frequent crashes and the fact that it only works half the time this app is by far one of the worst apps for banking.
Omg this app is so annoying and frustrating!! Glitches most of the time when I go to log in and have to unintall and reinstall each time to even have a chance to be able to put my information in and now it wont let me install so now I am overdrawn because it wouldn't let me into my own account to transfer money!
App has always been great but now for the last few weeks can not make transfers to other accounts!! Screen goes blank and turns white Any info on how to fix this??
There's no login when I open the app, therefore I cannot log in and have not been able to do so for months. I had to switch banks because there is no way for me to deposit a check now since I moved away from Bakersfield. I've had an account at KS since I was 12 so its been a bit sad to have to stop using Valley Strong. Please fix the app.
When I try to open app. I just get blank screen. I have uninstalled and installed again. I've updated nothing seems to work. Very frustrating.
I really liked the app. i loved just glancing at my account blance without logging in. however it recently quit working and even after calling the bank and going in person, it wont let me log in anymore! its not a password issue either. it literally wont work. the one star is currently how i rate it. would have been a 5.
I can't enter my birthdate. A 2020 calendar comes up and you have to keep pressing the back button until you reach your month and year. That took a long time, as I'm no spring chicken! I then pressed the date. Nothing happened. Just took me back to the blank birthdate entry box. This is useless!!! Nobody has time to waste like this, and you're not off to a very good start here. In fact, you're making your customers angry! Please fix your app STAT!!!
difficulty in set up and account numbers on app do not match account numbers on the app., and numbers on my checks have both checking and savings numbers beside each other. I have had numbers failed ACH due to this.
It was handy until it stopped opening all together. I uninstalled and reinstalled but it still wont open. Update- A week later tried reinstalling it (cause I hate driving up to the bank to check my balance), but still wont even open at all. Is anyone going to fix this? Im using android.
I normally don't leave reviews, but this app is so horrible I have to. Honestly the bank as a whole is awful, most of the bank tellers don't know how to help you, no one ever gives you call backs on any applications of any kind! They love to leave you in the dark. Definitely DO NOT recommend this bank. Don't waste your time.
Great app, Teresa Grubbs.....please don't mess a good thing up for the rest of us. The app is just fine....don't make it harder than it is. We don't need to be using our passwords, secret handshakes or facial recognition just to see our accounts. That's the stuff that makes operating an app miserable....kind of like operating a iphone. Password, passcode for every little action.... ridiculous. You don't like the function then uninstall the app and go back to calling the bank or going to the ATM
Fix your servers I got bills to pay and it's hard to do that when my banking app completely crashes for no reason, even after reinstalling.
The app doesn't reflect charges correctly. Money pending, or bill paid through the app does not populate till days later. Hard to keep track of what's being cleared/how much money in account.
I really enjoy the ease of use. I marked it down one start because transfers now have an added step. It is not difficult, but it takes longer, now.
Recently this app been absolutely buggy, currently trying to transfer money to different accounts, the screen goes white blank. Absolutely frustrated!
I have a joint account with my husband but have to use his info to get the app because he is the one who s name is on the account first very frustrating when I need to see what we have and the app has to send a code to his phone so he can send me the code..not very happy
Why the hell do I have to keep logging in with my password every couple days? It used to be once a month, but know I get kicked out every couple days and have to keep logging back in!
Recently switched to the Valley Strong app from Kern Schools, without prompting an update. Now says "an unexpected error occured; please try again". A tremendous failure on the behalf of your IT department, and a shameful release that never prompts the user to update the app.
App doesn't work anymore, it just hangs on the landing screen, and exiting the app is the only option.
this app is worthless just as their website. worked fine the first time, after that the balance never changed. So make sure you put a lot of money at first so you look like you always have a lot of money. In other words this App sucks big hairy Balls!!
App is always down and usually doesn't work. Full ass week later, app still doesn't work. Zero community outreach and an app that's been broken since the first.
For a small (relatively) businesses it's a solid app. Has the basics covered but is kind of a hassle to link with Google pay.
I am unable to deposit checks through the app. I had to physically go to the bank and deposit a check via ATM. Why have an app and have the feature when you can use it. The app needs to be more user friendly. When I opened the app when creating an account in the bank the teller was having issues as well. Please make big changes and fix the bugs so I can deposit checks using the app.
