KEXP Radio

Please update this great app to support newer versions of Android! Streaming still works but the UI is otherwise completely blank.

I absolutely love KEXP, but it's sad that this app doesn't do much more than stream the station. After switching from an iPhone, which I used almost daily to stream show archives, favorite songs, and see the playlist, it's disappointing to not be able to do the same on Android. I'm curious why the developers didn't include these valuable features in Android. I recently heard ads on air for a developer, so hopefully this app will be updated soon.

The playlist updates are almost always broken, although the playlist scroll at the notification bar often works. Makes favoriting music difficult/impossible. Would gladly allot a portion of my donations to an update if given that option. The music quality is enough to overcome these technological advances however.

It's better than the actual FM. It lets me favorite songs and save a list which I can send to my email. I used to pull out sound hound in a rush to try to catch the name of the song before it ends, and even then the song would be too obscure for the app to find it. This app makes it easy, and makes my commute more enjoyable.

Worked for awhile on galaxy s6 then after an upgrade or something, it will not play. I can see all the great music I'm missing. It just acts like it is going to play any moment but never does, no matter how long I wait.

The music is good, as in the live streaming always plays but if you want to use the app for any other purpose that said app can provide... All functions of app are broken EXPECT for the live stream. The listener never knows what is being played unless DJ provides information. It's basically just your old fashion radio not a usable app. It bums me out because I love kexp and the music they provide. PLEASE UPDATE ANDROID VERSION

I haven't been able to get the app to play on my new phone. I recently upgraded to the Samsung Note 5. Since then, it goes through buffering, but then says starting forever and never actually plays. :(

When you try to share a song to Facebook the app doesn't autopopulate any song info. It only shares what you manually type. Still way nicer playlist than the iPhone app, so I really hope they fix the sharing so I can escape iPhone ecosystem

Love KEXP, but their app hasn't worked correctly​in two years, on my LG G3 or my new Google Pixel. I've uninstalled and re-sign stalled. It streams fine but none of the other functions work.

EDIT - all of a sudden, it doesn't go more than 5 minutes without buffering. Completely frustrating. I LOVE KEXP. For the most part, I love the app. Glitch: if you close the app and open it later, you get a message that there is a problem loading the playlist (I use the playlist function quite a bit). Soft reset resolves it, but I shouldn't have to do that. Fox the glitch for 5 stars!

Can't install please fix finally works and its crap. You made this big deal about how great you guys are not selling out. The first thing is a guy talking about selling houses crap. All for the money just say it.crap crap crap

For the past few weeks I haven't been able to refresh the playlist. I rely on this to remember artists and songs by putting them in my favorites. I have to restart my phone to get it to work usually. Wish I could learn of a solution. ...

The stream cuts out a lot and needs to be re <| started. Playlist hasnt updated since Peter Gabriel 2/8, an I hate Peter Gabriel. Just buggy, but i love kexp!

This independent, culturally rich, community station is nothing short of remarkable. Obviously, there isn't an archive of shows, and the calendar doesn't work on any of my devices. If the dev team reads this, likely there are plenty of others like myself that are definitely eager to volunteer.

Sometimes it gets stuck on "preparing" loop. Sometimes it buffers then gets stuck on "starting" loop. Either way, no music both on WiFi or 4GLTE connection.

Terrible streaming. I never have problems just streaming through my browser but for some reason this POS app can't get it done. Love KEXP, but come on guys, you can do better than this

The recently updated (2.0) version fixes the big issue with the stream suddenly stopping. Now it just works (on my Nexus 7 and Samsung Charge over wi-fi or 4G/3G). Also now shows the current artist info and album art (and this can be disabled). Only very minor trivial issue is it does not rotate into landscape mode. KEXP is the only station you need if you are interested in discovering new music and it's commercial free. What more do you want? Just sent a $20 donation to support the music. So worth it!!!

HATE this app. With my Galaxy S3 it had infuriating bouts with buffering every few minutes, but now with my new Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, it refuses to play a sound. On S3 problem was on 4G and wifi. On Tab4 it is on all wifi networks.

Stream music instead of listening to cooperate bull sht. This is the best station that is listener supported. Please donate to them.

Constantly having streaming issues especially on getting the stream to start past the intro message. Android galaxy s6

I've had no problems with this app so far. I don't need to say much about KEXP, everyone should already know that it's the best!

Update: 3/03/17 - Plays fine but won't update the Now Playing information anymore. It's a bummer because I like knowing which songs I liked. Love the station. Love the app options like starring songs and the calendar. Hate the constant buffering.

Great stream, but I miss the streaming show archive from the iPhone app. Actually, that's what I primarily use, so this app is severely compromised by comparison.

I am having issues with the now playing and playlist button; they stopped updating as the current song plays
