This used to be a 5 star app, I have used and recommended it to others for several years. Last few updates have made it almost unusable. Primarily the stores list is awful; I NEED to have my 2-3 favorites at the top of the list. Now the stores list is in some random order, making it too time consuming to find each card.
Best app I have ever used, until a few months ago. Now I am searching. I don't like it showing a red light to let me know there is something up and finding an ad! I don't want to waste my time looking at ads. Seriously considering going back to carrying my keytags! Very east to use, when it works!
This use to be a 5-star app! The last update in February 2022 resulted in the app continually stopping (crashing). Unfortunately, the problem hasn't been fixed in two (2) months. I have nearly forty (40) cards that I can't access or recover. Let me know if you ever resolve these problems. In the mean time, I'm looking for another app to replace Key Ring.
I've used this app a long time and I have recommended it to many people. Now it crashes frequently even when I am not using it. I try to use the Force Stop and it restarts on its own. Last week I was driving an unfamiliar route in heavy traffic and suddenly the entire center of my map was covered by a large white square telling me the Key Ring had stopped again. UNACCEPTABLE!!!
What happened? I have used this app without incident since June of 2010. Now, for months, it crashes constantly without a peep from developer or webpage. With no way, other than to print from website, to export your data means changing apps is a headache. Please fix, or provide an export to at least a csv, so we can move on. I gave 3 stars because it was flawless for 11 years but now it appears to be abandoned. What a shame.
This was the first app I ever paid for, way back in 2009, on my T-Mobile G1. It was a great app back then and for many years after. Lately, although it's still usable, it isn't so great. Every time I use the app or I reboot my phone, I have to manually force stop Keyring. Otherwise I get endless, "Keyring has stopped working" errors.
I have had this app for years, and loved it, but for the last year it has been malfunctioning, signing me out randomly, and now it just freezes and I can't access any of my cards. Had to uninstall, and will have to re-sign up for a lot of loyalty programs, as my information hasn't been reliably accessible from the website, either :\
As of February 2022, the app will no longer start on my device. It just crashes immediately. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, rebboted my device, etc. I have tried contacting the author, but there is no response. Too bad, because I liked it. I will have to find a different app now. :(
Recent updates may have broken Key Ring, but it is fixable. All this might not be necessary, but it is what worked for me. Go to Android installed apps list and pick Key Ring. Clear cache and user data. Uninstall. Restart Android. Reinstall Key Ring. Go to Android Installed apps and pick Key Ring. Check app permissions. Turn them all on. Restart. Worked! Did not have to re-enter login info. Android has started turning off permissions for unused apps. Bet that is what is causing problems.
Update- I've uninstalled and reinstalled and now the cards are "there". The UI is inefficiently and unattractively designed. It groups the cards for a store (1+ cards) together under a white box (no longer a List). If you click on the box, you see either boxes that you'd drill into for each card or boxes for the bar code, front and back of the card.
Bad update. App opened once after update then just crashes on launch and will not open again. Reinstalled the last version and it works. The app seems to have disappeared in the Google Play store even though the update still being pushed out via the Play store. Found an alternative app called 'Mobile-Pocket' that seems to be just as good.
Worked great for several years on two different phones, but in the last month it has stopped working. Will not open and you get an error message saying it keeps stopping. Someone said it went wonky after the last update. Until it gets fixed, I cannot recommend it.
I have used this app for years and have told many many customers about it in my job. But for about 6 months or more I have not been able to use it. They supposedly have fixed the issues with more updates but it keeps crashing. I'm now to the point of not being able to use it at all. I have sent multiple reports in and nothing has been done. I have used this on all different kinds of phones some as old as time it's self. But now it's worthless.
The latest update renders this app useless. It shuts down as soon as you open it. Plus it drains your battery in the background. Please fix. *Update Jan 31-2022* - Uninstalling and reinstalling the app fixes the issue. If you log in and have an account, your cards are located on the server and will not be lost when you reinstall.
I'm starting to look for a replacement for this app. The Key Ring app has started to display a notification that says "Don't forget to use Key Ring when checking out." Even though I explicitly said in the app settings "do not send any notifications". This is not okay.
I literally love the app, but it takes ages to load recently. And even worse I get an alert every day, sometimes twice, to "remember keyring when you checkout". Despite having alerts disabled. I literally do. Every time. You don't have to alert me. It's 1 star until that garbage gets resolved.
I want to give this 5 stars, but since apparently it doesn't like my VPN and complains about the EU, which I'm not set for or located in, and makes the app unusable. Please fix this and we can talk about a higher rating.
Constantly crashes. The app is great and saves my wallet from so many different loyalty cards; however, my phone prompts that key ring has crashed even when it is not in use. Very annoying.
Crashes immediatelt upon opening. I just get the logo and then its done. Unusable. I get bug notifications for it all the time even when it's closed and hasnt been used in months
I used the app for years, but since yesterday it is crashing. Since all my cards are saved in the app it is really inconvenient. Hope it will be fixed soon, because I really prefer this one over the other list apps.
I have always liked this app until now, it keeps closing and when I go to the play store it tells me it's available for my phone but when i click on the installed button a pop up comes up and now tells me that this app is not available in you country, what the hell I have been using this app for the longest time Until today. I keep getting a notice on my phone "key ring keeps stopping" App info, close app, send feedback. I tried to reinstall, won't work. Sent a note to Keyring will see what happens. Talked to Key Ring No support for Canadian users and when I try to reinstall it states "Not available in your country" So now I have to look for another app like it.
KEY RING keeps stopping every time I open it. This is after deleting it and reinstalling it. **UPDATE** 3-7-2022 I had to create a new log in and rescan all my cards as my I could not get the app to open with my original log in. Don't know what the issue was.
This app was great before last update. Now it doesnt show favorites on top of list. Store list is in no particular order. Settings to show favorites only doesnt work and layout of stores cant be changed to block format. It shows the stores in list format only. Some stores do not allow you to select as a favorite. Terrible! Last update should be reversed!!
