Khan Academy Kids: Free educational games & books

Not only is it thoughtfully created and structured, but it is free, AND there are NO adds! I could not ask for more! My daughter loves the learning games, and I love how they vary the teaching. For example, if she is learning the letter sound "a", it will have her work on a but also throw in other letters during the same game so she gets a variety and a well rounded review. I am very grateful for this!

This app is great, really engaging for my 4 year old preschooler. She loves that she can do it on her own, without any help from me. There's a good mix of activities, songs, and stories, and it goes over so much curriculum like letters, numbers, colors, comparisons, phonics, etc. Really phenomenal for any app, much less a free one. Highly recommend!

Such a wonderful app for kids to learn and play. No ads. Can assign homework and watch them grow. Helps with counting, letters, reading, sounds, shapes, sizes, complex thinking, reasoning. Such a wonderful app and great way for our children to learn and have fun doing it! Best app so far and I like it way better than the ABC Mouse I just paid for.

We have only been on for four days. My son loves the "games"! I love the ability for him to be doing school work while we are driving or I'm on other work activities, as we are transitioning to homeschooling... My only suggestion would be to have some sort of evaluation at the beginning, so we would be closer to the reading and math level he is transitioning from in public school. However, it might be serving to inspire his sense of accomplishment as he gets all the answers correct....🤔

The whole Khan Academy family of resources is amazing. Educational, entertaining, gentle, ad free, and free to use. I definitely recommend this app, as well as checking out their website for more resources. The app is wonderful and my son really enjoys it, and I enjoy not having to constantly close ads he clicks on as they are non existent.

Best app for kids I know so far. It's big range of activities (math, spelling, reading comprehension, focus, memory). Very colorful and friendly but not to flashy. I am very impressed by the content. My kids love it and are very motivated to use it. Big thank you for the creates. :) Is there any Spanish version of khan academy kids?

My son only been using the app for 2 days now but we both really like so far. I personally like that he can go through the lessons with minimal guidance. It easy to review progress and see what lesson he mastered and what lesson he still practice. Max enjoys the game play and intuitivness of the app. We both are very pleased so far.

Id love to give it a shot but it requires an email confirmation that doesn't work. You check your email and click confirm and it just hangs like their server doesn't work. I'll try again in a bit and I'll change this later if it begins working properly.

We love Khan academy kids to help with word recognition and reading/ writing basics. My 5 year old enjoys the variety of activities. Our only suggestions is that there should be a pause and rewind button to go back in the middle of a lesson.

I downloaded this for my six-year-old and have been so pleased. The content is phenomenal--it offers a great variety of math, language, logic, and creative tasks. Plus, I don't have to worry about ads or other content popping up while she uses it. LOVE THIS. Even though it's free, I will happily make a donation to support this nonprofit.

The app is well designed and our daughter is enjoying it, but I'm deeply troubled with the terrible babyish voice of the main character. I find it unnecessary, and wish there was an option to choose a less abrasive voice. Sadly I'm considering deleting the app because of this.

Got the app on Android and I noticed that it's a tad difficult to leave landscape mode once in the app. Perhaps by design so kids don't go elsewhere on a smart device. Otherwise its super intuitive and I can't wait to use it for my kids (iA)!

So grateful I found this app. Ad-free, fun, easy, and doesn't take any supervision. They have a perfect combination of real learning and videos for the kids. My daughter absolutely loves it, and she's learning a good variety of things for her age. Thanks Khan Academy!!!

My kiddo LOVEs this. All 3! ages: 4,6 & 8 They each get their own profile pic. Saves info of their progress. I'm not sure how many more you can add. There's a separate password protected place for parents to look up their kids progress &what they work on, pretty cool & helpful! I'm considering homeschool w/ my 4 y/o. He's learned a lot already! This app helped me see how much I want to keep my last born, of SIX, with me! & Just keep on learning from home!💜👩‍👦💜

its a good games for YOUNGER kids!It says 8 plus but i only goes up to year two!My child was trying to go a few years over year two because they are a few years over year 2, yeat two was the highest I myself was having a bit of trouble figuring it out myself!It was annoyi -ng because it said 8+!But it is a good game for younger kids.

Excellent. I can't believe this app is free and has no ads. Not sure how they do it, but I'm grateful. My 3 year old loves it! I am trying to incorporate some screen time into our lives so he can learn to use it in moderation (hopefully) and I can feel guiltless knowing how much he is learning. Thank you, Khan Academy!

Khan academy has been an excellent K. homeschooling supplement for my 6yo son. The public school he attended last yr. actually incorporated Khan's lessons & songs. So, it must be popular! App features are clear & simple same w/navigation. Silly, fun & engaging lessons. We never got adds, no freezing, no pop ups,etc. Also,I like that I get award cert. once my child completes so many lessons..not many free homeschooling apps even do that! This mom of a Kinder highly recommends.

Rich with content and there is something new to learn every day! Very good with toddlers and actually helps them learn and not just memorize. Challenges them too. No Ads!

I am a homeschool mom of 3 and I love this app, I can assign things that correspond with what we are learning. I would really like the option to be able to only show the assignments when my child clicks on the book in the upper left corner. I have 2 younger children that are unable to read and just click on whatever. Other than that I absolutely love this app and I would they continue what they are doing and expand.

This app is so perfectly built for kids' learning! We were using ABC Mouse, but tried this at a friend's recommendation, and both parents and our 4 year old like this a million times better. We ditched our ABC Mouse subscription immediately. The lessons are the perfect length, not more simulating than they need to be (often an issue with digital content for kids), adaptive to his performance, very fun for him, and varied in what they're teaching. I just love it!

i love it..but there does not seem to be a way to exit easily, it stays on forever. it would also be nice if after 10-15 minutes things would end, with an option to restart, my child will play for an hour if I don't intervene. I love that there is no way possible for them to accicdentally get on youtube or something else. No ads.. love it.

Fantastic app. Keeps our 4 yr old engaged and has a really intuitive interface. One enhancement would be to have more content available offline as this app is great for traveling!

My kids are enjoying learning. Some things they know and it's a great review for them. And some things I haven't thought about teaching them. So it's a great balance. I messed up my account and could not fix it. I emailed in to support and they were great. They replied quickly with directions and screenshots to help me fix my mess up.

The kids absolutely love this learning resource. As a parent, I can't say enough good about it. For starters, it is the perfect reason and alternative to useless time in front of a screen. They learn. They have fun. What more can I say?

In comparison to abc mouse my 5 year old likes this more. Abc mouse is too babyish and both of my youngest two (now nearly 11) were always able to cheat. It just is too simple, not challenging at all. Khan Academy so far, very happy with content. Discovered there is also a Khan Academy for continuing education that I'm excited to give a try. No app issues thus far

Excellent app! Keeps my granddaughter entertained for a very long time. I love the ability to engage with the characters. Thank you for making such a great learning app for littles.

Help!!!!! I love this app but it all of a sudden it won't open on my Samsung tablet!!! Plz fix it!!!! Tia. sed to pay money to use that Mouse app and I really didn't like it very much. Then I found Khan Academy kids. My daughter absolutely loves it! She loves the rewards that she earns, but they're also not too distracting that she wants to just play with them all the time. We love the pace and the characters and the ease of using this app.

This game is fun because it goes up from pre-k to second grade to do it you can learn and you can do lots of fun stuff like me videos of you playing with stickers and drawing it's so much fun!
