KHCONF Client

Used for when I can't make it if I'm sick (but I'd rather use the app than tie up the line for those who really need to call in). However it's pointless. You can't hear much of anything because of how choppy it sounds, so you really get nothing out of the meeting. Both the speaker option and headphone option sound the same. Cranking the volume helps somewhat but if you have really good hearing this can be painful due to sharp voices over the mics. This app also drains your battery like crazy!

Sorry to be a critic here but things that are broken can not be fixed if you do not know what is wrong. In the age of the Internet this app is somewhat dated. The sound is often so low you can not hear it or its choppy. The only way to fix that is to find a phone app emulator relevant to your phone type and add and run it on a pc and turn the speakers up as loud as they can go. But on a mobile phone the sound is awful.

Should be a brilliant App but I'm constantly having issues with it cutting out, even turning off my Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections on my Android device. I have absolutely no issue with any other Apps, only this one does this, I even have to go into the Apps settings to disable it at times before trying again. Looking online I know it isn't only me with these issues. An update to fix these issues would be greatly appreciated, I can't remember ever having an update to this App, maybe a lazy or non supportive developer??

Good concept and layout but........ can't hardly hear anything. I had to go out to the car and hook up to the radio and turn the volume all the way up. Will change rating after sound problem is fixed. Thank you.

I like this for when I am not able to be at meeting in person but it has some issues, when I touch the speaker or headset icon a bubble pops up asking if I want the app to record, no, I thought the speaker would actually put it on speaker but no, and I want the option to choose which application it uses to call in with. I pay for minutes but my Skype has my cell as caller ID so I wouldn't be charged or eat up my minutes. I hope these can be fixed or I may be such a minority it won't be.

Great service One concern though...when the music is played it sounds as if its through a fuzz amplifier similar to one used for guitars. I have to turn volume to mute because sound quality is so bad & use another device loaded with the songs for singing along. Any way to correct this? Suggestions appreciated Kim

Using on AndroidTV box, Mi Box, connected to TV. Had to sideload/manual install because Google Play Store is different on AndroidTV devices and apk is not available. But it works GREAT. FYI works GREAT on pure Android Boxes which uses Play Store, we have both and see no difference. Never had a problem.

I love this app it is super clear and can turn volume up super loud and it is as clear as if I was at the meeting. the one issue is when I hit the headphone it comes up with some kind of message. also can you answer on this or is this only for listeners? is there a chance of a button that you can click on and off for answering during the meeting if you wanted to set up a paragraph in the Watchtower to comment on with the conductor ?

This app is certainly to be recommended. It is available for those who cannot get to the Kingdom hall. Being at the Kingdom hall is necessary for association and interacting with our spiritual family. This app is not recommended for staying at home at times when we can get to meetings. Unfortunately, technology does not always work as we might like it to, I have had similar problems with it in line with what's been mentioned by others. Therefore attending meetings in person will be our goal at all times, if possible.

While the app is pretty great, it crashes on android 11. After few seconds you clicked on the call button, it just closed and clear itself out of the screen. Please we expect that you fix it soon

Update.works now but you can't adjust volume or use Bluetooth headphones. On samsung s10 5g

We live in a very rural area and there are many home-bound like myself. We have been having terrible problems and thought for a while it was the Khall. After last Sunday when we were connected through the whole meeting, but a Sister in the same hall kept getting dropped we realized the problem seems to be through the khconf app. After speaking with many who use the tie in locally and in other halls there are several having the same issue. Please dear ones running the app, please diagnose what is happening. The tie in is our lifeline to meetings. Thank you so much for all you do.

Great app to tie into mtgs. Only problem I've encountered is when it says, "this app has reached it's maximum amount of callers. You cannot connect to the mtg." I've looked into the detailed information on the app and have not found information regarding any limits of any kind. Can this be fixed? In other words ... Can it's connectors increase?!

Have had much better experience with this Android version than the Windows version. Windows version quit working. On another computer it crashes upon opening. A shame. Computer gave much better sound. Hope the Windows version gets fixed soon.

Not working for some reason. Changed device and now I can't even connect? As soon as I try it cuts me off. All my settings are the same and correct. So frustrating for those of us who rely on it.

This has been working wonderfully until today March 29 2020. HELP! I don't want to miss the Memorial....About half way through our meeting the sound starting an echoing!! It did not stop. I even disconnected, then reconnected and it continued to be distorted and I missed important announcements.

Thank Jehovah for this wonderful App especially during this period of the pandemic as it requires little data strength/amount to function. However, we will be very grateful if it can be updated as it doesn't function on android 11.

This is a useful app and indeed superb but crashes on Android 11. It works fine on Android 10 and below After updating the app, it no longer crashes on Android version 11. It very ok for me

So sorry..horrible sound quality! Needs a volume booster or something to increase the volume. Not compatable with a phone's ability to increase volume during call in. Please fix this🙏🏻 for now its better for me just to call kH directly.

No longer working for me. Since changing to a new Android device, settings are entered the same, but will not work on Pixel devices (also tried my wife's device) one you press on the button it goes yellow then the app quits

Used this for the first time today because our phone lines were at capacity. It worked great and sounded the same as the phone lines. My only concern was there was no option to mute from my end. Can anyone tell me if it is automatically muted or what I need to do to make that happen? Thanks.

Really simple to use and mostly just work. For those having trouble: 1. Disable "SIP ALG" on your router or choose the "USE TCP as Transport option. 2. Untick the "SPEEX Codec" option in the app. 3. Ask the brothers to turn off SIP ALG on the KH router if using the KH App and check the settings in the app.

No longer works on my Samsung Galaxy 9 Edge. Will only connect for 1 second before cutting out completely. It used to be such a blessing to have this provision.

This App is very helpful during this hard time created by COVID-19 pandemic. Had challenges when downloaded on a new device but was rectified when I clicked on "leave" the beta tester, uninstalled the khconf client (Beta) and reinstalled the public App. It worked!
