The ads are invasive. There is one that plays sounds in the background. You can't find the banner it is associated with and it continues to make annoying noises even when you exit the app. Ads are fine but to keep playing them when you exit is BS
The app has headlines that are halfway cut off. I didn't see a new news store since Monday 1/3/22 until today 1/7/22. Krem2 app is 100 times better and they actually report news with easy to read headlines, actually proofread their stories before publishing and use the proper pictures or video in their stories.
The new revised version is full of ads. I chose to be notified of breaking news. Instead of one notification at the top of my phone with multiple entries like before, the top of my phone is covered with little KHQ blips. I have uninstalled it.
This app has a live feed so t hst you can actually watch the news, however it doesn't work most of the time. Freezes, no pictures adds pop-up and take up screen. Not a fan.
This app is stupid. Can't get the news on the weekends. No new news is posted between Friday and Monday. It's really annoying. And another thing, what the hell is with all the typos in every story. it's almost like whoever is in charge of writing the stories for the app doesn't even have a journalism degree. This app is a complete joke. I recommend KREM or KXLY. Sorry KHQ, you guys dropped the ball with your laziness.
I can't get the Live news to continue to play the app keeps force stopping. I've already restarted the morning show 5 times this morning. Really wish I could watch the whole thing thing it would save me a lot of time
The app used to be great! Now it can barely keep up with my phone. Not to mention, you get 40 stories, if you want more, enjoy the next twenty mins of searching for exactly what you are looking for. hoooooooorible
Whenever I get notified of a story and then select them to read, it NEVER TAKES ME TO THE ARTICLE. It always goes to a commercial video for KHQ. So annoying. Fix it or I'm un-installing.
The app kept playing phantom background music and commercials. KHQ does not seem to care much about local news, particularly northern Idaho news. Reports of national news are always posted but items like voting results or last evening's shooting in CDA are not important and ignored. I've deleted KHQ in favor of a much better local news app which I am happy with...thank you KXLY.
Good news app most days. Frustrating to see numerous typos, bad spelling in nearly every story. First thing I check every morning, so somewhat disappointing to see no updates on the weekend. Maybe they need to hire more help?
Absolutely the worst news app in Spokane. Information is not current, major breaking news isn't important, advertisements are usually longer than the videos. The local newspaper would be better.
not happy with the update. my push notifications dont even display anymore. i used to love getting updates on fires and storms . now i get weird links that arent even clickable
Worst ap ever!! About 5 times more ads than actual news. Some are invasive. Every story has so many ads that the stories are hard to follow. Can't say wnough bad... KHQ should be asshamed to have their name associated with this ap. Too bad 0 syars is not an option.
KHQ app needs ro refine its display, as the time-stamp for articles obscures the headline. Not a quick at-a-glance friendly interface. I once used KHQ as my first source for Inland Northwest news, but sadly no longer with this app.
A fantastic app. If you're looking for yet another leftist slant on current events. What I wouldn't give for an unbiased news app. No liberal agenda, no conservative preaching. Just the facts. I'll decide what to do with them.
Absolutely, hands down, the best app I have ever had for local news and national news alike. Much love for my hometown news cast
Good app, it would be nice if it included links they refer to on news broadcasts also.
I noticed that I end up with a bunch of internet windows instead of viewing stories in an app.
i live in North idaho and try to stream local news and i watch nothing but KHQ commercial break, we'll be right back. frustrating. i get snippits like 30 seconds long of news before it cuts to commercial.
I get numerous notifications throughout the day and if I click on one it takes me to a different story.
Getting sick of repetitive alerts several times an hour. Ridiculous
Every time I use this app it locks up my phone. Not sure why it is doing that but sure wish it would stop.
The app doesn't open stories when tapped on you only see ads.
App has glitches and replays the same news for days at a time.
I like the access available to me. I use this app to stay up on current events.

When clicking an article notification on the app it takes you to the last article you were reading, not the most current one. Notifications cut off half of the article description, so you can't tell what the article is about without clicking on it. There's no search bar on the app to look for specific articles. Download KXLY 4 News app. Much better.
