It's a really fun game! Reminds me of my childhood, but the amount of ads is RIDICULOUS! I cant even open the notepad without getting a 30 second long unskippable ad. And I do not wanna buy the "Remove Ads" option. So I turn off my internet, but it just says "No Internet Access!" I'd appreciate it if the developers will see this review and do something about that. I understand y'all just want to make money to promote "Kick The Buddy" by showing ads, but just cool it down! Thank you.
It keeps closing on me I love kick the buddy and he's such a great stress reliever. There are many options of tools, items and various other things to try and use. The only thing I hate about this app is...WHY is it that you HAVE to watch an ad after EVERY SINGLE TIME he dies or ever time you go to choose another option for buddy?!?! Not to mention...you have to watch it most of them don't give the option to skip it. But still loving it
This is a fun game, I use to play a lot when I was younger. But, it's horrible now! My main problem is the ADS. Way to much ads! Like cmon! Why so many? Every time I try to press something or beat up buddy an AD pops up. The ADS are annoying. Every 20 secs and ad pops up! Please do something about it. And I have to watch 20 ADS just for one free item! I can't keep watching over, over, and over again for one item. Fix this please! It's a problem. And it would leave a better review for the app.
There is just TOO, MANY, ADS. When the player opens up the Notepad, a AD POPS OUT OF NOWHERE ELSE. If you put less ads, i'll rate the game 5 stars. Idea: The player needs to watch a video in order to have less ads for 5-10 minutes. If the player wants to have longer time, he/she'll have to spend 500 bucks in order to have extra time. The extra-time price gets bigger and bigger every time.
The game is amazing. But the only thing is that on online mode every single time you kill buddy you get offered a gift and you have to watch an ad and you cant press no or anything when you dont want to claim it. Another thing is there is too many ads! Please could you fix this either than that the game is so fun to play I would recommend it.
This game is a lost cause. It takes minutes to load, and then you have to watch ads. So. Many. Ads. When you kill the buddy, it sends you out. You have to get gifts when you kill him, because you have no choice. There is no exit button out of the gifts, so you have to watch an unskippable 30 second ad. You can try without Wi-fi, but it's equally horrible. You can't redeem rewards, buy objects, etc. So I suggest you don't give this game another thought before installing it. It's a lost graveyard.
WAS one of my favorite childhood games, so I reinstalled it for nostalgia.. It has been RUINED by the ads! I can't hit buddy even 5 times without a 30 second ad popping up! When it gives me the opportunity to watch an ad for the gift box and I decline it plays one anyway! -After each ad I have to close and open the game because the screen goes black. And you can't even pay for no ads unless you get the membership. If you could AT LEAST add a no ads option I would rate higher!
I love the game but every time I kill him, it exits the app, I think it may be a bug, but I usually have to uninstall and reinstall for it to work again then minutes later it does the exact same thing, I really do like the game though its fun, buddy is hilarious, and there is alot to do! Thank u for reading my concern/rate!
Lots of fun but definitely has its issues Main issue is unless you pay to remove ads you get one everytime the character dies. Secondly after recent update it started crashing regularly and I've lost everything my son had built up. Now having to start from scratch and it's still crashing. If you can fix that it would be 5 star
Only reason in giving 2 stars is the insane amount of ads. I know that tons of other people have this problem. I would go on to airplane mode but I want to be able to watch ads to get rewards. Whenever I kill him and it gives me the choice to watch an ad for the present or don't, whenever I click continue it gives me the ad anyway. A lot of the time I get and ad just for tapping the ribbon. The amount of ads is insane and it makes the game boring. PLEASE FIX THIS.
Ok so the game is really fun but there is way to manyv ads. For example when you get a chance for the presents and you don't want it sometimes the game makes you watch the ad. Finally whenever i get an ad that you can play a little after you are done you can't exit out. I tried waiting 1 whole minute and it wouldn't show the x symbol in the corner.
I've loved Kick the Buddy since I played it years ago on an Apple device, so I was thrilled to see it finally come to Android. I am disappointed with this version, however, because of the level of microtransactions and constant push to watch full-screen, loud and annoying ads. I am dismayed that instead of the option of a paid version to get rid of the ads, there is a subscription system for a weekly, monthly, or yearly fee. I can buy a full-featured PC game for the amount I'd have to pay a month just to get rid of some of the ads and get access to a few more items.What's worse is that even if you become a "diamond" member, you still have to watch ads or pay more money for "gold" to purchase some items labelled "free." So, although the game itself is still as fun as ever, I can only rate it two stars because of the constant ads and greedy subscription system. I will be happy to revise my rating if the developers would give us the option to buy a completely ad-free version of the game.
SO. MANY. ADS. The only reason I didn't rate 1 star is because the game is decent to play when I want to pass time, but I have to play on airplane mode in order to actually play it longer than 3 seconds. There are ads on-screen and then every time I even try to touch the guy... boom ad. Even if I manage to do anything, a "gift" pops up, ad... it even makes me watch an ad when I decline. Ugh.
Generally, this game is really fun. Buuuut, there's just too much ads that fill up the game. Like I would kill buddy but then have to watch a 30 second ad. Idk about the graphics. I guess it's ok just like the gameplay. Also, when I'm in the middle of torturing buddy, an ad just pops up and I have to wait half a minute. One more complain is one of the ads when I have to watch the entire thing and it just shows a minigame. When I play the first level, it baits me into playing the next one.
Ads o' plenty, an ad every 15 seconds or less and always long ads. You need to watch an ad after killing, there is an ad on the screen at all times (at bottom of screen) and whenever the kill methods tab is opened there is an ad. This was a good game that I recommended to many but now with the constant ads, it is now hardly playable. I know there is a remove ads thing but I've never had to do that for any other game. The ads are constant and annoying.
The game was great, up until all my progress was lost without warning. I have always used my google play account but signing in and out did nothing. I had hundreds of thousands of dollars and so many items. It all just disappeared. Even attempting to restore my progress was unsuccessful because no progress was saved. I hope there is some way to get my stuff back.
I like this ap a lot! It's very cathartic! But I'm becoming to find it more frustrating than relaxing. It constantly crashes when I am either about to receive rewards, or right after I each the ads that my rewards, forcing me to constantly close it without getting them. Oh, and now it randomly make me watch 2 ads instead of 1, or just throws one in the middle for the hell of it with no rewards. If this keeps up, I'm just gonna move on to a new game, but I can assure you it won't be any from the ads I'm forced to waste my time watching here.
I used to play this a lot when I was younger! But now everything I play I get and ad. I have No problems with ads but there is an extreme amount of them! And when I get them I have to exit out of the app because they are formatted were the X to leave the ad is off screen. And when I restart the app and try to buy something with the virtual currency it just loads.... and loads and doesn't give me the item. It would be very helpful if someone could fix this. This game has a lot of potential
