I don't have issues, I'm surprised others do, maybe they have older phones that are less compatible. I have an s10. Its a very simple straight forward app. I click on the memories section daily to see the pics of what my kids are doing right from my home screen. I guess sometimes it loads a bit slowly, but that could be my wifi connection, it's never been a problem. I enjoy using this app and only expect it to show me what my kids are doing in school,so I have it a rating that reflects that.

LATEST: messages are fixed! I will say I still have some lazy loading issues in the UI, but overall back to the functionality I expected. UPDATE: messages have been fixed except that you still can't change the recipients on a reply, so it defaults to reply-all... :/ (Original review below) This newest update is terrible. I can't read any of my messages. The help link in the app doesn't work, and the photo upload distorts your picture. I liked this a lot before, but it's almost unusable now.

The new update is terrible. Either the developers are making awful design choices or the app is littered with bugs. Pictures are no longer displayed with activities. Now you have to go to Memories to see them and it's impossible to associate which pictures went with which activity. When viewing pictures vertically that were taken in landscape the aspect ratio isn't maintained and the picture is distorted/squashed rather than being resized. In the Messages tab it now lists From/To and shows EVERY parent's name on newsletters. The previous version wasn't amazing, but significantly better than it is now. If given the choice I would never use this app again. I can only hope my daycare changes systems.

Before the big update, I would get the push notification when an event occurred, in real time. Now, whenever I get a moment to pull up the app, after the update, I'll get a flood of events, ranging from 8am to the time I open up, ie 3pm, which is a bit of an inconvenience. *edit* has gotten worse, so dropped stars to reflect the lack of fixing said issue

Our daycare started using this app, but it's super annoying to use & the UI is clunky. It's only good for viewing activity. If I want to download a picture of my kid, I have to go to the web portal. If I want to change settings, I have to go to the web portal. I can't change the settings for push notifications and emails separately, not that the notifications even work right. I don't get push notifications unless I regularly open the app to sign back in and I don't get email summaries.

Request to dev: Please add easy option to download pictures. Currently only sharing to other apps is allowed and no easy way to download the images. Thank you. Other than the above, the app is functional and works sufficiently well. Push notifications show up as expected. The interface could be improved a little as it feels dated.

The idea behind this app is great but the execution is terrible. The overall layout and design are rudimentary and sluggish. I used to at least be satisfied that the basic function came across but since the new year I haven't been able to save any of the photos of my daughter. I feel like there must be and option more interactive and intuitive than this.

This app is the opposite of user friendly. I am fairly tech savvy and this app is confusing. When I received the email to set up my account it assigned me a password. Even after reviewing the help section I have not been able to change my password, the help section directs me to menus that are not there. On the home page it lists things about my child's day which appear to be links but are not. Instead I have to navigate to the message section.

The new update made all messages (inbox and outbox) only show one line of the message, making the feature useless if you need to say more than a few words. I've tested it on Mac laptop, iPad, and Android phone. The developer fixed the issue and the app is back to working properly! Thank you!

This is awful. The app doesn't even work anymore. I tried unistalling it, reinstalling it, shutting off my phone, etc, but I can't even sign in to the app anymore. I have an android phone so I tried it on my Apple iPad and it still didn't work. Really need to get this fixed so we parents can keep up with our kids needs at daycare. I missed a message I needed the other day because the app won't work!

Updated review 1/31/2022: previous issue was eventually fixed via their last update. There's still no way for parents to respond to different teachers / people since contact list / reply functionality is limited. 11/19/2020: The app stopped sending me notifications after the update. I checked my phone settings and everything is the same. Text and email notifications are fine but get annoying when multiples are received, I'd rather have them via the app.

They recently updated the app. All the pictures and videos of my daughters for the past 3 years are gone. It is very sad. They loved looking at those. Now they will lose those memories forever. Also, the messaging feature doesn't seem to work. The director sent me a note but it won't show. I can't open previous messages either.

Poor layout. Fonts overlap and/or hide text. Generally awkward to use now. Why change a good thing? This update was apparently not tested and is not recommended. ---------- 4/23 Update - After further review, perhaps 1 star was to generous. This is basically non-functional. No photos, and all messages overlap, providing a garbled mess. Please just restore the prior version! I will happily update my review at that time.

This app is glitch, rarely works, isnt intuitive, message function is terrible. I am so frustrated with this app day in and out, updates very rarely fix things and when they do, new issues that weren't issues before arise. Portfolio, to view you have to individually go click through every single day after the school uploads months worth of data. This app quality is really unacceptable comparable to the app my school used to use.

terrible experience. My daughter's first day of daycare when everyone's anxiety was high the app was down so we weren't able to get any updates. Most of the time the activities won't load. To see a full view of the pictures posted you have to click to open another link. It is not aesthetically pleasing to look at. Very low quality app.

I just started using this app. While the login process on mobile was slow and inconvenient, I was able to get in. I was able to log into the admin portal on my browser just fine. When I run a report in the admin portal, I see an event. When I open the app, I see "no activities recorded for this date". I have tried the refresh button several times.

I had to redownload the app, and when I try to log in, nothing happens. Absolutely nothing... no error messages, it just spins and spins. I tried deleting and reinstalling, still nothing. I'm able to log in online no problem, so I know it's not a username/password error.

Frustrating app!!! Looks and works outdated. There are days when I don't receive any notifications and I call the daycare and they tell me they made lots of entries but the app it's backed up. I can't receive any notifications on my smartwatch and even when the app "works" everything is loading soooo slow. And the pics never look good 🙄

Originally had 1 star because everything was broken when I opened the app but it turns out because my childcare center was closed my kids no longer were on the schedule so there was no "account" to be found. I still think a better error message would have been helpful but the issue at hand was not the fault of kidreports. Prior to the last update I enjoy using the app even though saving memories to your local storage could be easier and more user friendly.

The developer/project manager for this app are behind on software development. The interface is cumbersome and not easy to navigate. There are glitches after almost each updates. Please take a look at other leading childcare app to make it better. I have used multiple other daycare app and this is the least user friendly.

Seriously. If you're a childcare provider looking into utilizing this service... Save yourself the headache and don't. It's clunky, constantly crashes, NOT user friendly at all! My parents hate it and my teachers complain that they spend more time trying to load the app than they did filling out the paper forms. The only reason I started using this is because it's part of my billing for Procare. I'm considering ending my Procare subscription and going with someone else just so I can switch.

i really dont like this one. the interface is bad, way too much clicking just to see one day worth of information. requires chrome on a PC, i use Firefox so its giving me pop ups on every click. the idea is ok, bur the execution is not good. they need a professional UI designer before they continue pushing it to schools. i told my principal not to switch away from tadpoles if they can help it. this is a parent perspective, not teacher.

The worst daycare app I have used thus far. Horrible interface and not user friendly. It looks more like it pulls info from their website into a shell of an app. The newest update runs an error where you cannot create new messages, only load previous ones. Avoid if possible!!!

Poorly designed app. All error messages and even FAQs reference items that don't even exist. Had an error asking me to go to the wrench icon to resolve it... THERE IS NO WRENCH. Only way to fix it was to do a clean install of the app AGAIN. Only reason I keep it around is there are pictures and information about my child that don't show up at all in the poorly formatted email that comes from daycare.

Glitches Galore! This app is junk. Interface is not user friendly. Notifications can take up to a day to send to me via text and why are push notifications from this app not an option? It's 2020! Images provided by school have taken multiple days to upload (first time using it, images from Monday came through on Saturday). The whole point of this app is to stay updated on my child at daycare...the app fails to meet this purpose timely... can't wait for our daycare to switch apps.

Our daycare switched from Brightwheel to this garbage. I'm assuming its free based on the poor app design (both on the parent side and the admin side). Its difficult to navigate, confusing to use, and looks cheap. Also there are no push notifications so you have to log in manually to see any messages.
