Understanding color and shape is a tool for learning many skills in all curriculum areas, from math and science to language and reading. When a child learns to discern the similarities and differences between colors and shapes, he is using the same skills he needs to recognize the differences between letters and numerals.
The main skill that gives the application is differentiating the shapes. It includes both simple shapes, such as squares, triangles and circles and other shapes such as polygon, rhombuses, flowers to pique the older child's interest as well.
By the time your child is 3 or 4 years old, children need to start learning their shapes. By the time they are ready to start kindergarten, children are expected to know the basic shapes, recognize them and identify how they form part of other items. They may also be expected to be able to draw the shapes – not perfectly, but certainly recognizably. Our application is an easy ways to encourage and help your child to learn about shapes with flashcards.
Learning about shapes will help your child identify letters, and help them with writing and reading later on. For example, letters are made up of circles, triangles and lines – think of the circles in b, d, g, p, q, or the parts of a triangle found in k, v and w. Recognizing the shapes in the letters helps a child to recognize the letter too, important for developing reading skills.Colorful high resolution images, funny music and a lot of pleasure for your baby! This app is Amazing! My favorite baby app so far. The only thing is that the ad is right there and my daughter keeps pressing it, it's irritating. Also, i don't like that the language and other game modes are right on the screen, she keeps changing the language. Would be 5 starts if you take away ads and put games and language into a parents settings button that locks,
Has a good variety of shapes just with this app had a STAR shape thats why I give it a 4 star but overall a good app for my 2 year old.
My 2 yr old recently was diagnosed with a sensory disorder and I was told to work with him as far as pointing, shape recognition, color matching, etc. Unfortunately due to his disorder getting him to sit down to work on these things the conventional way was impossible. That was when I turned to the playstore in search of help. I found this app along with the colors app by the same developer and figured I would give it a try. Thanks to this app my son allowed me to sit with him to teach him to point, move the shapes around with one finger, as well as, shape recogniton. He has even started to make sounds pertaining to the sound of the shapes name! The apps interface is so wonderfully designed he can navigate it with ease and understanding. This app along with others from Gokids! has been THE biggest blessing as far as helping my son really blossom developmentally and for that I am grateful for the whole Gokids! team. You guys rock!
This is meant for kids five and under so having ads that pop up and are flashy are going to of course cause the kids to press them. Constantly had to close web pages and only had app for ten minutes
Nice matching game. But this background is not good for concentration, it should be simple. Everything is blue in first game, it's too difficult for small child to identify shapes, they should be in contrasting colours.
My 2 year old loves this game! Within a few times of playing she knew a lot of shapes!

Putting ads on a kids game is very annoying and makes the game unusable when you spend the whole time closing ads the kid keeps opening.
Very good for my two year old. He knows how to move each shape to its match every time now. Amazing!!

was supposed to allow parents the ability to turn off advertising. But I cant turn off Russian, let alone find a menu!.

Good for the little one. But why the advertising on the screen. It's for children. Please remove the ads. Unnecessary and irritating to say the least. Children hit the ads and open web page links.
Helps learn shapes in 5 languages. Fun, easy to play, child is starting to understand Spanish.

The game concept is good it is fun and learning. ,the problem is the shapes color. and the background color is almost the same,it is not visible for the baby. .better to change the background color or the shapes color so that it can be visible to the child. .
