Kids Mode

Will not open after last update. System is up to date. Shame my kids used to love this feature. Now they have Kids Home...which is almost the same except you have to manually reload all the apps and every time you open it you have to change your default app loader to it and when you close it you have to change back to Samsung's app loader..it was much more streamlined the old way.

this is a fantastic app. I can have different accounts for each munchkin. so each has different apps, times and access. example: my three year old has counting apps and PBS while my oldest has Netflix and can make and receive phone calls. but can only call those who I preselected.

i installed the update and read (after frustration and confusion) on someone else's review that it was supposed to turn into kids home, but i can't even find that. i found something called kids home in the play store but the icon is totally different and it wants me to start set up all over again so I'm not even sure it's the right app. this update was very poorly managed. Edit: I've since found the icon but I'm still giving 4 stars because I'd prefer having an icon on the screen.

I love this app but it no longer works on my Samsung S9. 2 days ago it just disappeared from my homescreen. I can't find it in the Playstore anymore. I can find it by Google Search and says it's installed but it is not on my phone. Very disappointed. Please fix

I loved this app for my nephew who just turned 2 years old the music and coloring would entertain him when we needed him to sit still for a while. But now all of a sudden the app needed updated and now I no longer have the kids mode app it says I do but it's no where to be found and I have the Samsung s9 and had kids more up until I updated it on March 23, 2019. I do not like the new kids home that I have seen in other comments as my nephew liked the kids mode music and coloring.

Really good app. I would love it if you could develop a feature where we can set the volume to a certain level so the child can't turn it up any louder (we use it on our phones and they know the button for it!)

I really dont like the fact that the app icon is gone and you have to access it from the top. I looked for this app for my kids for 2 days and found no information about the move. The placement is currently inconvenient for me and not as fun for them. I also dont like the fact that the lock has changed and I can't change it. It is also more inconvenient now to add apps. Not sure why all of this needed to change but I'm not a fan of this new layout at all. I hope something can be done about it.

I loved the old kids mode. the new one is inconveniently located for a child to get to and dies not have as many fun games in it. I have not figured out how to get it to my home screen.

kids mode is good and my baby loves it but there is one issue everytime I exit the kids mode app the icon for kids mode stays at the top of my phone and causes it not to allow me to be able to click on anything not even to go back into kids mode. I have to restart my phone and thats a pain in the behind. please fix or update your app

Why is it that I had to update this app but when I did it no longer even lets me open it? The open button isnt even there! The app itself disapeared off my home page and now its not workable. I even tried deleting it and re downloading but same thing. I opened the app it said it needed updating eventhough i just downloaded it, so I did again and now its gone again...

Love this app except for one thing. Please make it possible to remove the "samsung apps for kids" app from the home screen. I get that you want to make more money, but every 5 seconds my kid is asking to download something new. A way to remove that and you get 5 stars!

HOW TO FIND NEW KIDS MODE... If you've updated to the new software on Android and the kids more with the crocs disappeared. If you scroll down from the top of your screen to where you see your bluetooth, airplane mode settings etc on the second page theres something call kids home. this is essentially the same app but its moved to there. i havent figure out how to create a shortcut but hopefully this helps people coz it took me hours and samsung cannot explain anything for love nor money!!

forced me to update or it wouldn't open and now it says its installed but the icon has disappeared from my phone and it won't allow me to open from the play store. have uninstalled and reinstalled several times and it won't work

I am very interested in this app but I am unsure how to get the contacts to load in. I have given the okay for it to have permissions for my contact list but it is not populated with people I can add to the OK list. I would much rather use this version for my son than one that has in app purchase options. Can you help me out? Thanks.

l updated my kids mode app and now it's gone. It disappeared from my homescreen and when I look for it there is only a uninstall button. I would love to give more stars after this problem is fixed.

I just upgraded from the s5. We loved this app on the s5. My kids were obsessed with dressing up the alligator and I liked only having apps that I chose to be loaded. The new app is ok, but lacks many of the features we enjoyed for the s5. It is ok as a parental control app, but it just isn't as good for us as it was before.

since i have updated to kids home, i cannot download any of the app that original on it like my camera etc. i even try to update the software, but it says cannot connect to the server, please assist. Because my girl loves that app and I love how it keeps them safe on using the app.

This new update has really screwed up this app! It is not in my pull down menu or in my quick menu. It is gone! I am extremely frustrated right now. We use this app everyday. Fix it! or put the old app back! please!

won't let me use the app without updating it. As soon as I update it, the app disappears all together! I can't find it on my phone anywhere. Very frustrating as this was always my favorite kids app.

I was told the app needed to update and it supposedly did update but now I can not find the app anywhere. It says that it is downloaded but I can not open it. It's a shame because this is one of the few kids apps I liked and so did my kids. We have had it for years and now it isn't really there. I have a Samsung Galaxy 9 and it used to work fine until the update 2 days ago.

Kids Mode worked great, until it tried to update then it uninstall. It is crazy! No problem with my 7S but got the new 9S and Kids Mode has been horrible.

I have s9+ and this app no longer works. Sad to see it go. I downloaded that kids home app and it is horrible compared to this app. It's not even close to comparison with this app. What a shame my family loved this app. Does not give me an option to open it and can not find on my phone. Why is this so difficult now?

The original app was the best!! I had to uninstall and reinstall then find the reviews to figure out how to open the new app. It is silly that you cannot use apps on your phone for this app unless they are Samsung kidapps. Also, my kids will never be able to easily find this app, with the original they would take my phone and get on kids mode themselves. Please bring back the original app!!!!!

I love Kids Mode, but this last update was not good. Forced to update with no instruction of how to get to Kids Mode after the update. Much prefer the old app on the regular screen. My kids knew exactly how to open it, now they can't find it. Please go back to the old format!

Still great except for the shortcut is no longer available on the homescreen. Huge bummer if I'm busy and want to let my kid have my phone. Also as another review mentioned...the passcode out of Kids Home being the same as my phone passcode. What's the point?🤔

I just did the update and now Kids mide has gone. but when I go to google play or samsung app it only gives me the uninstall option. I have tried uninstalling it then installing it and same thing happens. I get asked to update it then it disappears again. I can't click on the later option because it takes me out of kids mode. please help. i have a samsung note 9

pls help... I downloaded the kids mode on my new note 9 and for some reason it asks me to update which I do the app then the app stops working. once downloaded it doesn't have an open button for me to press to access the app.

Loved this app, my son would open it himself to play "his games." Now it won't open without doing the update and when I do the update, it disappears and can't be opened. Disappointed.
