The app worked wonderfully during 3 day trial period. Once I paid for the lifetime access, nothing works. Child can go over the specified set time, screenshot settings cannot be set. It just decided to take snapshots every 60 minutes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and no improvement. I literally have to watch the time on my phone and then change modes to lockdown. Very disappointed.
Purchased the monthly subscription to try it out for longer period than 3 days (i think it would have been nice to have a longer trial period to begin with). Overall it appears to be working well. I can see there are still bugs to be fixed regarding time-use counting and consistency between reporting the values on various screens in the app. Also i think an upgrade option from within the app from one subscription to another could have been nice. Still i give it 5 for now.
With a few minor adjustments, the app could be 5 stars. Lately it has been leaving my daughter locked out during open periods. It allows u control most apps, but some of them u can not. This can sometimes be problematic because there are some apps that I want her to hv especially for school. It is otherwise a great app. I also wish we could lock her phone from calls and msgs at a certain time but doesn't have that feature. I am otherwise happy with app.
This app is very useful and does exactly what you need it to do. However, it's not completely straight forward and can be a little bit confusing to use. I use the app to manage a device that is in a completely different city from me. I really wish I had a built in messenger in the app to contact my little brother and tell him why I deny additional time. I also wish I could create my own chore/tasks for him to earn more time with.
- it's has guides - it's functional - it's easy to use - and most of all, it's not complicated. As an older sister it's hard to control her addiction on phones after our mother passed away. This app is very helpful for me! 😊
Had to purchase one month to get access to premium functions but you have to install a desktop app to make those work. Then it fails to download due to errors in the address / connection not private warnings. It also rearranges the kids apps on their phones (rejoices them from folders) after locking overnight which. Family link was much better and free
I turned on my son's tablet after charging it. It hadn't been used in over a week and the battery had died. As soon as I turned it on, this app locked the tablet for using too much time. WTH?!?!? It hasn't been used in weeks. I approved additional time through the parent app and it refused to unlock still. Wish this was the first time this has happened but this is definitely the worst time. Enough is enough. Not worth the money.
I am experiencing a lot of glitches on the app like when I try to change the time of the telescope, it is not allowing me to change the time. And the times ons the screenshots, are not the same as the actual time it was taken. The screenshots are thus not accurate and complete.
After purchasing the app I realized that it doesnt perform as I had hoped. The schedule I set sometimes isn't followed and although i've allowed youtube for my child MANY times, it still blocks the app. I need to have his phone in parental mode to use youtube which really defeats the purpose of having a kid's mode. I also have the GPS turned on and sometimes he'll be sitting right next to me and I'll receive an alert that he's left home. I wish I had waited before paying the $29.99
I love the features this app offers but the schedule and lockout function doesn't work. I kept one app to be open during lockdown mode so she has her sleep music, but it's not locking down anything else either. Her wake up time is 7 am and she's been playing on the phone unrestricted since 6 am. Her limit of 1hr for the day was reached and she's still continuing to play. I was ready to pay for a full year but why would I? Can't ever seem to find a control app that does what it says it will do.
Terrible.. right off the bat it charged me $79.99 for lifetime & I hadn't even installed the app to try it. Now I'm dealing with getting my $ refunded, so infuriating. While I'm waiting to get my refunded I decided to try it out.. EVEN MORE INFURIATING THAN BEING CHARGED. I tried to add my kids phones & it showed they were added then they were missing from the app on my phone.. I TRIED 3X to add them. One of the times one of my kids phones said wrong PIN. Worst App EVER, look elsewhere!!!
App keeps locking everyone out of my child's tablet, very complicated process trying to delete app and reinstall. I won't be renewing my subscription.
Pleaseeee make the "daily for apps limits" into a profile we can re-use. It's very time consuming to have to go to all the apps i want my kids to just spend 5-10 minutes and then have to go to each day and manually do it. It's a log of time I'm exhausted!
Terrible Do not download this app. It forces you to purchase an $8 subscription for one month in order to unlock your child's phone if you decide you don't want it. I'm very unhappy that I had to purchase the subscription just to get my daughter's phone unlocked
This app is fishy. For one you cant even access there website with out my antivirus freaking out. For what ever reason disabling that still wont let you access it. I requested a full refund since paying is the only way to use this app. Hope i can get my money back from this app!
I've tried most parent apps and this is by far the best. Seems impossible for kids to bypass the controls where other apps fail, really pleased with it
Ridiculous. I installed the device on my phone and my child's phone and it asked me for a 4 digit pin that I never set up and was never sent. when I tried using their chat for support no one responded.
This app is very good. I am able to limit how much time my child spends on their phone and be alerted if she installs a new app.
The app in my opinion is still in development. I can set time limits on my kids phones and ipads, but I purchased the advanced features and still can't use what I've paid for. Recently got an upgrade notification, and the application won't run on my desktop. Finally got it, but now I can't install update on kids iphone or ipad. Tired of it. Paid for a lifetime subscription, but I'm about to trash it because I'm tired of not being able to use it to its fullest ability.
Got even worse. My kid would constantly be stuck in lock mode if she was in a different city. I would have to on numerous occasions give out the pin to her grand parents to have it changed even tho I changed the mode through the app several times. The VPN constantly forced itself it on even after being turned off which would prevent me from seeing the websites should would visit. It actually got me pretty angry at my child because I thought they were turning it on. Not recommended.
It's an ok app, I like most of the features, but it has some issues that work my nerves. It locks up my daughter's phone during her scheduled free time when it's not set to do so until 2 hours later. She has to keep asking for more time even though she still has time left.
Good concept, poor execution i guess. Everytime I went to see if the apps were locked they weren't, he could have access at anytime without me even knowing bc the app is misbehaving. Total waste of money and frustration.
I bought the app to limit my 10yo's screen time. As much as I love the app and it's functionality my 10yo hates it. I was hoping that option to earn more screen time by doing chores will be motivating, boy was I wrong, instead they moved on to their laptop to watch. Kidslox please develop an app that also allows for control of computers. Please also fix the bugs that cause the time to run out when the device is not being used.
The idea is great and the interface is fine but it's too buggy. I constantly had issues with the child devices not unlocking when they should and staying locked when they shouldn't. I contacted support multiple times and the response was always similar to "try this... then try restarting the device." Restarting the device multiple times every day is not a solution to a bug. I tried this app for several months and so far I'm happy using FamiSafe instead.
