Highly recommended if your phone runs hot, is sluggish, charges extremely slowly, and will not hold a charge. It's likely that you've downloaded so many apps that they're all running in the background, using up the resources and creating heat in the process. My phone would charge all night and be at like 20%. Now it's at 20% in like 5 minutes. It keeps it's charge all day long and stays cool. This is the only app I've ever paid for the full version. It's more than worth the $1.49.
This app is great, I've been using for years. I like that you can watch it close each background app one by one and it really does make a difference in performance and battery on pretty much all my devices. Highly recommend it for those who download a ton of apps and wonder why their phone is moving so slowly.
Been using it for two years now. Had the paid for version. My only complaint is it doesn't turn off it's own accessibility, and stops it's own running processes as well as it's cached process when it completes it's tasks. It's annoying that I have to do that myself every time. It's the reason I got a refund and went back to the free version.
I just tried this out hoping to find an app that will actually shut down all running apps that I want shut down.. it found 2 out of the 56 my other program shuts down... so yeah, this does nothing for my android 9 operating system. I look and those apps are still running so.... and No system apps can be shut down in a list either without paying and I highly doubt that if I do pay that they will be shut down.
The apps is closing the apps as claimed. But I have paid for the pro version but not getting the additional functionalities. Several emails sent remain unresponded! Neither refund has been made. That's almost being fraudulent...
Accessability and draw over apps permissions are given to this app, and yet when I go to tap the kill apps button, it takes me to the apps settings page, which I have tap force close on every app MANUALLY, tap the back arrow on my phone, and then tap the button again EVERY SINGLE TIME, it's so incredibly tedious you might as well not even get this app as you're better off just going to your apps setting page yourself as it would be much faster. Used to work perfectly fine, keyword USED TO.
I own a Samsung S22 that boots up with 126 user apps and 200 system apps opened. I use this app to see and close apps I don't need. I review and wonder how some of the system apps contain files from my user apps. They must install to the system when I install the user app. I'm sure there is a different way to find out (and influence) what the system will load at boot up but I'm not familiar with it. This "KillApps" app allows me a much-needed level of control.
Pretty good app. Kills most of the apps and the ones with a closing failure are listed and if you please you can close them individually. I would give it 5 stars but I don't have anything to compare this app with in order to be more clear about just what an app like this is supposed to be.
Revised: I'm just sorry I paid for the pro version. I understand things go wrong, needing time to look at things, etc. But this developer won't return my email. This app doesn't function anymore. I made no significant changes nor had any recent updates. I tried to generic fixes, no help. I've since switched to a new app that actually works, and their pro version is half the price of this one.
Make what's already an exceptional decent free app even more powerful & better. How you going to do it...that's not my dept. I'm just the end user of your product. If it's your passion, hobby, job,or whatever; pursue it relentlessly. Not many are educated to the level it takes to write software, apps, etc. Consider yourself with not only a well versed education loaded w/vast knowledge of electronics, software, advanced math, comprehensive abilities to understand what it takes to make it happen.
I recently updates to A12. Before that, on A11 , the performance of this app of exquisite. App took around 30 seconds to force close around 30-32 user apps. But, on A12, app is performing below average of than expected. It is now taking more than 2-3 minutes to close even 15-16 user apps. Dear developer, please fix this issue.
This is an awesome app - does what it says without a big production or excessive in your face advertising. It was an easy decision to pay for the full version to thank the developer for the excellent piece of work I've recommended this tool to several members of my Marvel Strike Force alliance and they have had similar feedback.
When opening accessibility options, it doesn't keep the settings window open. And the settings throw me out even when I try opening them directly. This app is buggy. Samsung A702
Essential. With this I can stretch a single charge to nearly a full week and never feel like the phone is missing anything by not allowing a hundred background apps to waste power
Nitrous in an app. I was looking for an app to kill all the junk running in the background and decided to try this, being skeptical the whole time. The app installed very quickly and after using it the first time, It only took about 15 seconds to run, but I couldn't believe the speed difference after it finished. Now my phone runs like I just bought it and no longer gets overheated. I'M SOLD. Simple straight forward design and very effective.
Awesome app for shutting down apps you aren't using. It does sometimes fail to get Chrome so on occasion you should open the main program to make sure that Chrome isn't on the failed closed list. You can kill it from there if it is. It also has a quick one button kill just put that button on any of your home screens like you do any other apps or shortcuts. I do have the paid version but I haven't really tried out the additional features you get.
For the longest I rated it 5 ST★★★★★RS. Then I got curious and after reading the negative reviews discovered that after using this app I would go to the info settings of an app it had supposedly closed and would see that the force close button wasn't greyed out. Meaning it "closes" apps but doesn't fully [force] close apps. While this is a bit of a disappointment it isn't enough of a let down to uninstall the app nor reduce my rating to just 1 ST★R...instead I give it 3 ST★★★RS!!!
Didnt have any effect on ram or battery consumption even after it "showed" the apps all "being stopped". Hmmmm, something doesnt add up, there.
"stopping failure" - it can't force stop the apps half of the time. i try the option 5-6 times but it doesn't matter, still failes to do it.
I just installed this app after my old 3c task manager stopped working. I liked it so much that I bought a pro license. For now it's four stars. That may change as I familiarize myself with the app.
I LOVE THIS!! I actually had some serious phone troubles. Every app was stuck on 'active'. It wouldn't let me toggle it off. It was crushing my data and the battery couldn't stay charged. It saved me when I was in a rough spot. Now I use it all the time. Thanks to the exception list my music can run and not miss a beat. I love it.
This is my favorite app. Once I figured out which apps to add to the exception list, all I need to do to shut off invasive apps that stay running that shouldn't, I just hit the arrow and those apps are turned off. For the phone I use for a navigation device, this app helps me keep stuff shut off and works great. My battery really does last almost twice as long on all my devices now. You gotta try it to understand just how many apps you aren't using that chew up battery and data.
Perfect, easy to use and actually closes apps. There are small ads in the app but they are small and do not interfere with using. Also NO pop up ads that open up another screen. If you are worried about ads you don't have to.. I use this app multiple times a day to close background apps. Thank you developer. I use this app on all my families phones and tablets. It would be very convenient to have a floating widget or an icon in the pull down menu to quickly perform the close all apps function.
It's a great app. It shows you used and free memory. It gives you the ability to FORCE shutdown INDIVIDUAL, or ALL running apps, and they STAY shutdown. You can add apps that you NEVER want to shut down to an exception list. It also, allows you to view and shutdown, system apps. I'm giving it 4 stars, instead of 5, because it lacks two things, which are an automatic, scheduled shutdown feature, and the ability to shutdown running services. If it had those features, it would be a perfect 5 stars.
