Frustrating, but got it. No version or help info. Trying to reset password, 1st error told me a capital letter is required. The next several errors in attempting did not specify why. The email sent me for the code needed to reset my password did not specify the password requirements. Having that would have saved a bunch of frustration and time. Would be nice to have a link to the website and links to any usage manuals. Side note- I do appreciate the kiln-attached touch screen!
All that the app shows is the status of the kiln and temperature at the time. A mobile app can be much more useful: can give you history of firing at any point of time, show graphical phases of the firing, support through chat or frequently asked FaQ, diagnosis and health check reports, etc.. I hope Skutt can improve the usability and experience of the app.
It didn't tell me there was a new upgrade for the app, even after trying to change my password twice. Now it's making me input my serial # again. Now it's telling me it can't find it even though I have scanned it in twice. Called customer service and they were nice enough but the app is the problem.
Some how the app has gotten even worse after the last update. Bonus points my kiln has started frequently disconnecting and usually at the worst times. The app is basically useless and I might as well just go out and check it like I would with a computerized kiln.
During a firing you can see program name, temp, segment, and elapsed time. After the firing is complete you can see calculated cost. The end. It would be nice to see program details and the temperature graph. It is convenient to see the firing finish from my recliner in the living room, but it doesn't seem like it would be that hard to duplicate the displays that are available if I bother to walk out to my kiln shed. Hoping for updates in the near future.
Tried two different emails, unable to register account. Just keeps saying Username/Client ID not found, when I enter the verification code that was sent to my email. Customer service is useless.
Disappointed with the lack of ability to control the kiln with my phone. Basically just useful if you want to check the temp of the kiln.
Doesn't work. Installed and uninstalled and still get error message saying could not get data from kiln. Wifi working fine. Entered serial # manually as well scanned, just doesn't work
Worked when I first installed it about 9 months ago and has gotten progressively worse since. Can even log in now as it logged me out and now won't let me change my password. Pointless app at the moment!
Constant error messages. For Skutt to be a amazing product I find the app lacking alot of possibilities.
Never works when you need it to. Constantly saying nothing is connected and it clearly is. App needs major work.
Can't connect this app to my new kiln. Unable to find controller error message.
Works great. I just wish it showed more info and offered control of the kiln.
Sometimes works, sometimes doesnt. Can't find any trouble shooting support.
Problems have been fixed and the app is working as intended.
i get to the enter code screen however there is no code and when i hit resend all i get is an error message
THE EMAIL IS CASE SENSITIVE This is probably why you're having trouble logging in! It's ridiculous
Forever losing my kiln data or not connected
I like the ability to see what temp the kiln is at, however it would be really useful to have the following available in the app: 1. Time remaining 2. Alarm notification - I can set an alarm on the kiln but it only goes off on the kiln control itself, not in the app. Therefore, I'd have to be in the room to hear the alarm which kind of defeats the purpose.
