I've been using Kindara since 2017, and on iPhone it's absolutely magnificent. I have the premium version. The user interface and visuals on android is bad and lacks some features, but I've ignored it so far, hoping it would improve. The latest bug since Feb 8th 2022 is that the entire app freezes when I try to log "Mood", and I have to log out and back in again.. it seems like the Android version just doesn't get any attention at all.
This app hasn't changed at all since I first tried it 4 years ago. It's super glitchy, it doesn't slide smoothly and entering past data is very cumbersome. I wish it would automatically jump to the current day in my chart instead of showing the beginning of my cycle. I do love their coverline, peak day and number of luteal phase days features, as well as the menstruation prediction. As it is I'm using it alongside OvuView and Tempdrop.
The latest update has made the app unusable on my phone. Previously, more and more features were gradually removed from the free version and some important features glitched (my cycle charts would not load). Now I need to find a way to export my data to transfer to a different app, or better yet, just use my own spreadsheet. It's too bad; I liked this app when I first installed it last year.
I used kindara for several years on iOs and at the end of 2018, I switched to android. The Android set up is a little less intuitive, but it gets the job done. The biggest issue is that I recently purchased the Wink thermometer and it does not seem to be well supported on android. My temp. settings will ot update (from C to F) and I have to sync it manually. update: after reching out to customer service a few months ago, my syncing issue was resolved.
The journal doesn't work if you try to read what you wrote a while back so it defeats the purpose of the journal. You must pay an ongoing premium subscription to mark vag sensation and this, to me, is just as important as the temp and mucus. Does sync with Tempdrop. I do not use any of the predictions. The app itself, the set up, and all its details are great.
uhhhhh....well. This is just SAD. Beautiful, easy to use interface and graphical output. I'm 5 days into my trial...already app is going buggy. The only "help" I get is that "there's no trouble on their end," "sign out and sign back in." Yearly subscription is $50--and because of the quality and ease (after so many other clunky apps) I'd actually consider figuring out how to fit that into my budget...*sigh* but it's back to the drawing board. 😔
Its the easiest so far to use with charting, however the charts are sometimes not in sync with my cycle. It labels the cycle as any random number cycle and not cycle 2 as it should be. Sometimes my data is erased or not saved on the calendar, or saved to the wrong day. It also freezes and won't allow me to input data frequently. I think this app has a lot going for it but needs to be refined. This is increasingly frustrating, I hope they fix it soon, it's almost unusable unless reinstalled.
Kindara is a great app for fertility awareness. It's a basic chart, but digital. The data are all visible (better than Clue) and accessible and shareable from the web. I wish I could add data from the web. It would help when, about 2x/month in my 5 months of use, it becomes unresponsive and needs uninstalling & reinstalling. What it does is great, when it's working. Please update and fix, then 5⭐
I got the premium version through a clinical study that I'm participating in. Honestly, I wouldn't use it again. I feel a little stuck because I don't want to change all my info to the other app i used but I might. I don't like the interface or the options. With the premium version, I get as many functions as many other base models for other apps. Additionally, I accidentally hit the "start new cycle" button in the middle of a cycle and now there will forever be 2 shortened cycles in one view.
I love this app. The paid version is a bit expensive for my taste, but the free version is great! No wrong predictions - you put it all in yourself using whatever method you choose. You can see the data on the website and even download it. You can also add custom segments. And best thing is that the app is totally reliable. Never crashed are got slow or something for the years I've used it.
I used to absolutely love this app. It is wonderful on an iphone, but now I have a Google pixel and it is not as user friendly. I also have the wink thermometer, and I am upset that they no longer make it. That was another big plus of the app, how it automatically synchs the temperatures. However, I do still use kindara. It 100% helped me prevent pregnancy, then get pregnant with my son when we were ready. I just wish they would improve the Android version and also bring back the wink!
I wanted to like this more than I did. I liked the condensed entry interface and the charting presentation made sense and separated other factors from temperature and mucus. What I couldn't handle was the inconsistent swipe behaviour, sometimes it changed days sometimes not. Data didnt save to the correct day and automatically put itself into days in the future and didn't stay deleted once removed. Recommend using OvuView instead. It's interface is more like Clue, and it works as expected.
This app started out great... now all I get are glitches. I keep having to sign out and clear the cache almost every time I use this app. It is getting extremely frustrating considering I paid for a subscription to this. If things don't change I'll be cancelling and going with a different app. I am getting very angry that when I paid for the premium service I can't even use it effectively, and I don't get responses from tech support half the time. Buyer beware.. don't pay for premium service.
CONS: (1)Nonexistent Customer Support. I have been trying for a month to get in contact with customer support via email(the only available option) to change my payment card info. No response from three emails over this past month. (2)Needs an overview function to see month-to-month comparison. (3)Notes are impossible to read on the month chart. An expandable text box would be very helpful. PROS: Overall functionality is pretty good, predicts my wife's periods and fertility times very accurately.
