KinderCare

No longer works. It stopped working for me on Sunday (11/21/21). So I uninstalled the app and added it again. However, it continues to crash without opening. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the app several times all week but it still isn't working. I have a Samsung Galaxy S21 and I recently got an update to the Android version 12. Hopefully it gets fixed soon. ** it works so I am changing my review to 5 stars!

Edit: Works great since the update. I just wish it would not have taken so long. Edit: It's still not working, but there is a small work around. Go to the kindercare website though Google Chrome on your phone. Log in. Then tap the the dots and tap add to homescreen. This makes any website an app on your phone. It won't give you notifications, but it will allow you to see the pics at a quick touch. Hopefully they fix it soon.

App was recently updated but this has made navigation and usability worse. Downloading photos now gives you an annoying popup that you have to close. Previously it would download in the background. Also you now cannot go backwards without it exiting the app altogether. Why would they deliberately break the app like this? Just bizarre.

My 3 year old loves it at kindercare. She loves her teachers and asks for them all the time. We enrolled her when she was about two and a half. Within the first 2 months of attending, they had her fully potty trained. Her vocabulary and pronunciations developed so well. She started holding full conversations using sentences versus just 2 or 3 words. Their focus on educating sets them apart from the average daycare.

My app worked fine until my phone updated. I noticed everyone had same issue... since everyone's now works, mine still does not work. I miss seeing updates of my child and I am missing the notes and messages from center as I do not have access to the app to get the notifications. I tried Uninstalling and reinstalling and even cleared cache.. just asks if allowed access to camera and then closes. Please fix. I loved the app prior to this! EDIT: they updated it and app works again... I love it.

We love KinderCare! The app is incredibly useful and a great way to keep in touch while also being away. We love the family feel and the teachers at our facility, and we look forward to being there each day. I especially love getting random photos and seeing the menu so we can try new foods at home too!

KC released new version that supports S21 and latest Jan release from Samsung. New version has much smoother UI, more intuitive menu organization, better photo mgmt and packed with all of the robust features I use as a parent: need of push notifications, daily feed, picture features, 2 way messaging. This app blows the BrightHorizons app (4 my 2nd kid) away in so many aspects, it lacks features related to parent provided check in notes, health screening, or pick up scheduling

Great app! It's so wonderful to have a record of what my kid eats and when he naps etc. My favorite are the pictures so I can see my son happy and playing while he's at Kindercare.

Update 1/4/22: Adjusted my review back up. The app updated and now works again on my S21. - This is (obviously) the app used by KinderCare daycare so I didn't really get to shop around for a daycare app. Still, it generally works quite well. There are a few features that would be nice to have like the ability to see captions on photos in the home feed and being able to see what teacher posted each update.

It's great using the app for communication and also viewing the pictures of the kids learning and having so much fun. I feel connected with my daughter each night when we talk about her day it helps that I know what she is learning about, we then can incorporate it at home too. It makes my day to see how happy and comfortable she is there everyday!

I love this app I can see what my son is up to and it keeps track of all the feedings and diaper changes. This app really helps you stay connected to your child throughout the day which is my favorite part! they are really good with documenting how the day is going.

After the recent update this app got, I have hated the app since(when being logged in under my classroom). The classroom list should be in order from youngest age to the oldest. The app keeps bringing up archived comments when changing classrooms. I don't like that I can't click the home button and go back to my classroom from looking at a different classroom. And I HATE not being able to message parents back when being logged in under my classroom. And parents should be able to see ALL ENTRIES.

KinderCare is a wonderful and safe place for my children to learn and have fun while I'm at work. my 3 year old has improved so much with her speech, and academic knowledge it amazing to watch her grow with KinderCare. My 1 year old always has a smile on her face when I drop her off, she knows she will be having a fun field day with all her little friends. also I love when I get photos sent to me through out the day.

Great app! I love seeing pictures of my little one and updates throughout the day. Her Grandparents can see the pictures too.

I am a teacher, and this is from our side of the app. After the last update it was working great. However, in the past few weeks it has been very glitchy. It disconnects from service often. It deletes entries and sometimes posts them in the wrong child's profile. I know some can absolutely be human error. But I have caught it right after things are entered in quite a few cases. Plus it has been logging us off often. I'm not sure if that's a thing that's supposed to happen. Better!! But glitchy.

Very good tool for maintaining contact with the school, but is highly dependent on the teachers having the time and inclination to do updates. It is nice to automatically share pictures with extended family without sharing all the day-to-day updates.

The app is good in that it allows parents to see what is happening throughout the day and to get notices from school. There are 2 main problems and they are pretty big: -the app keeps deciding I need to get permission to use it (which, as a parent is galling) -supposedly parents can use the app to send requested pictures or completed documents but it NEVER works

I just got a software update for my S21 and now the app will not open. It says there is a bug. Horribly inconvenient. I need to see my son's info thru daycare and now I cant. It's been working great for years until now. EDIT: The issue is now fixed and it works just fine on my phone. They completely updated the app.

Increasing my review since they've updated the app to work with Androids again. When it's working, the app is great and the communications are very useful. I hope they stay on top of app updates going forward because it was not working for about a month.

I don't understand the low rating on this app and can only think that either a) it used to be a lot worse or b) it got Review Bombed at some point. We find it to be a great app and love how the pictures and daily activities are listed in a single activity feed - overall, it's very convenient.

I've been with the center for two years now & and have been nothing but satisfied here. The teachers and directors are attentive, they make time for conversation and to listen to any questions or concerns, they are hands-on, and have a nutritionally diverse meal plan (things that matter to me). I really enjoy the app where they are actively communicating and sharing pictures and videos of what my child & his classmates are doing during the day. I highly recommend this center!

Update 1/4: Samsung pushed through an App update yesterday and I'm able to see all updates on my phone again. I love seeing the pictures and updates throughout the day. I just got the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and this App won't open. Please make sure it's compatible with new phones.

Love this daycare 😍 this is the 2nd daycare nurse daughter has been to and the first was more expensive for open concept. I think it would be good for her but I hated it and they did nothing like what KinderCare does to make my daughter comfortable. I love how I am able to get updates about her throughout the day so that I can talk to her about what she did. There are never any glitches with the app either it always works and my other family members get to have access as well to see her.

New version prompts for login info. I needed a PW reset. PW reset link doesn't take to password reset. Instead I land logged in feed. When I try to update my PW through settings I cannot because it requires knowing forgotten PW. Everytime I want to see my kid I have to go through this process. Please fix the navigation for the reset link. Great app otherwise.

Update: Looks like they did an update and the app now works....."The app now has a bug and will not work. It goes to open and closes immediately. It worked well with my old phone. The app is super helpful to see what my child was up to while away."

Easy to navigate and love the messaging feature. Love to see my son's updates through the day, pictures, and tracking feedings and changes. I wish I had this app with my first. 1/4/22 had android updates over the weekend and now the app no longer opens. Please submit a patch for this app. 1/11/22 contacted dev team and a new update was available. Everything is working again. I know this isn't the only app that got thrown off by these Android updates.

Everyone has been very professional, caring and nurturing. My granddaughter is 2 and she loves it! She learns and they keep her busy. I get updates and photos throughout the day. That in itself is so comforting.

Update: App updated and is great! This has been over a month now. App is crashing and Google play says app has a bug that needs to be fixed by the developer. I pay outrageous amount of money each week for the benefits of Kindercare, which used to include full access in the app. FIX IT!! EDIT: my husband's LG phone recently got an update to the app and I looked in the Google Play Store information for his app and it says version 4.4.2, but my app version on my Samsung 1.0.3! How is this possible?

Update: Back up to 5 stars, app is working after it's 12/21/2021 update. Dropped down to 1 star as the app no longer works after Android security update on Nov 19, 2021. When you open it, it crashes and says there's a bug and to inform the developer of the issue.

This is a great app. They can allow quick messaging, videos, high quality pictures. The one big change is I would like to message w the teacher directly whether my child is in class or not. The teacher is only allowed to message when the student is checked in.
