Kindle Widget

I loved this widget until it broke. Everyone seemed to blame KitKat but I just downgraded back to Jellybean and it is broken in the same way'. I am guessing something in the last update to the Kindle Reader for Android. I just wish someone would fix it... If it worked like it used to I would give it 5 stars

Only has two books from my collection available for selection. Luckily one of them is the book I'm reading now. The cover art worked however, I'd like to remove the text title from the smaller icon with artwork. Otherwise, exactly what I was looking for. Need my whole library to show up in widget for selection though!

It's good for direct links, as it should be, but it has a few issues: it doesn't grab the artwork from the book itself, so if its a custom book you get a bland icon. If you check for it to use the actual cover and it cannot retrieve it, the widget is transparent, making it impossible to see if you turned off the title. Once you load a book through it, you have to go back twice to get the the kindle home- the first time simply brings you to the book again. It just has a bunch of those little annoyances

Having in mind the fact that Kindle doesn't have any widgets of its own, this app is really helpful. If you were looking for a widget for your home screen books, this is the one. Would give it five stars, but the custom cover image deforms when enlarged.

Just like so many others, it used to work and now it doesn't at all. Doesn't link up to kindle to find books, have installed and reinstalled kindle app plus the widget. Very disappointing. They should consider fixing it, and fire the new guy that broke it.

I do like this widget but I like to have a large widget and the problem is the book cover loses its quality quite badly even at a small size. I wish there were more book widgets available. But appreciate the effort that someone has made this.

Not all the kindle books I have downloaded are listed in the book selection dialogue, including the book I actually wanted to link to. The shortcut when it was created looked good and worked ok, a little slow to open, but fair enough probably Kindles fault. You can not organise the shortcut in a folder on your desktop (as it is a widget not really a shortcut I suppose). I accept this may not be technically posible for the dev, but it does limit usefulness.

Recently upgraded from a Note 2 to a Note 4. The widget worked perfectly on my old phone, but won't recognize any of the books in my library on the new phone. Reading the other reviews, it looks like I'm not the only one. Fix it and it's a five star app for sure.

Does not display any books from my Kindle library. App has not been updated since 2012. Amazon has since changed the path to the book library.

Work perfectly until Kit Kat. Now the widget won't recognize any books on any of my devices. We have tried it across 7 different Android phones and tablets at this point. Don't waste your time downloading until the developer fixes it.

Widget doesn't work cuz when I try to install a widget, when you click BOOK SHORTCUT a box comes up that says LIST OF BOOKS but you can't click on it or anything. Uninstalling....Please fix, about a year ago I had this & I LOVED it.

When trying to add widget it won't show me a list of books to choose from. So now can't even use. Please fix

I loved it. ..when it worked. I had to get a replacement phone bc my old one broke. I'm trying to make it exactly the same, but now this won't work. Both are note 3s. What's the deal? ? It won't show any of my books in the book shortcut list, and I have Uninstaller and installed both this and the amazon kindle app at least 3 times in different order

Widget is great for the books it finds in my collection, however some recently opened books are just missing and I am unable to create the widget.

This app would be great except it only gave me the option to choose from less than 10% of my books, which happened not to be the ones I wanted.

The widget is great at what it does. However when I attempt to resize the book, image quality is lossful and pixelated. If this were fixed I would give this app 4 stars.

This widget is nothing fancy, but since the Kindle app comes with no widget it's at least an improvement. It's not glitchy, and it offers you a working, though limited, widget option.

Great and aesthetic way to access books directly from the home screen. Only have one issue with kindle not appearing in multitasking and crashing when trying to go back to the app.

The icon resembling a tombstone more than a book seems apt. It literally doesn't work. Best removed from play store.

Kindle Android app update rendered this useless. Farewell to one of my all time favorite widgets.

So far, so good. Got the picture of the cover and it linked me directly to my book and at the page I left off at. Thanks.

This's maybe the worst app ever, don't waste r time

I am so glad someone came up with this idea. Saves alot of time in sorting through my kindle application to get started reading. Works great.

I like the widget it's very useful but it would be good if you could add your own cover to the widget from your own photos. On the other hand it's really useful.

There are two books that I've purchased but only one of them shows up.

Does not work. Forgot to say go to web and then download. Then shows message that it may harm device.

I had a Kindle widget that was really cool, a flipboard carousel, sizable , showed the book I was on and a few more behind it. I really liked it but it quit working. So I thought I'd do an un-re-install. Only it's not in the widgets in playstor any more. Now I'm stuck with a crappy little 1× all I can do with is put 1 cover art on. Where'd that nice pretty flip board go???? Cause this one sux. :(

I found this in the Play Store installed it and started using it in less than 5 minutes. It's doing exactly what I wanted. I now have a shortcut to each of the books I am reading on my home screen and each takes me to the last page read in that book. Perfect!

Love this widget, but after upgrading to Kit Kat, the cover widgets are invisible with just the label. The widgets that just show a colorful plane book are still pretty neat, though.
