KING 5

I have been using this app off and on for years. It is worse than ever, constantly freezing. I have uninstalled, cleaned my tablet, reinstalled, and it makes no difference. It always freezes when it's trying to scroll through ads. It's like it makes you stop on the ads but then freezes and I just have to shut it down. I have complained to the station in the past about this to no avail, no reply. Done. Moving on to KOMO.

I ready liked the older version of this app but now it is too cluttered and hard to navigate. As I try to scroll down it is constantly moving back up, on it's own, as object finish to load. I have used it for years but am stopping and going to a different channels app that has a better design.

There is only one Complaint here on my end it does what it's supposed to do I just wish that the videos would play a lot smoother and the ads on these videos are crazy I just don't understand how the ads play perfectly fine, but the video your looking to play loads slow ... and lags, and I have the best network Xfinity and Verizon, so I'm just not understanding, maybe an update would do this app some justice, but it's not a deal breaker, for the most part I can just read the article. good app.

Links in drop down don't always work. Videos for articles don't always match and the information in them versus the typed content is always different. Due to info being different you can't play video and read at the same time it will stop and if you scroll up to continue it will play another ad again. Splash page structure is confusing and doesn't flow like others.

I installed the app so I might be able to see the weather forecast in a better format. But as usual, there's no provision for us hicks outside of Seattle to personalize the information we want. The weather in Snohomish county is not the same as Seattle and it would be convenient to be able to change reporting parameters to reflect that. This is an update. The app has turned into a great one. I use it every day.

The app besides being unstable and broken links at times was great for keeping me up to date on news back home. This latest update is horrible with the number of ads now littering it. I understand the need for ads to help pay for the service but having ads mixed into the news feed and being an ad every 2-3 stories is ridiculous

Has so many ads that it never scrolls smoothly, which often makes it impossible to stop and read what you're interested in (unless you're interested in ads). The app is very poorly made, and the ads only highlight this. King5 tv news is my favorite local news by far, but this app in no way deserves to be higher than a 2.5 or so.

Way too many ads. They constantly interrupt streaming, you can't scroll or maximize/minimize without triggering an ad, and the audio volume on them is dialed up. It's hit or miss if pop-up notifications link to the correct story.

News articles are good and I get notifications for each story. It keeps me up on local and national news pretty Well. But the clickbait advertising in the app is annoying and makes it hard to respect them as a valid news source.

The ads are getting ridiculous. Recent update adds a ton of click bait style ads. Some of them are inappropriate. News reel is full of ads that are disguised as news stories. Uninstalled. Hope to meet up again someday after the ads are addressed.

Bring back the old app. New one is covered in ads; it even inserts them as you're scrolling through the feed. Interface is just busy, the weather report is just an image of a Twitter post - might as well just use my favorite Twitter client to read the King 5 tweets. Uninstalled.

This was a great app until recently. Now too many ads! The weather used to be fast & easy to read, too, but now you have to have a magnifying glass to read the daily & 5 day forecast, or slog through the video (and it's ads). They should have left the app alone. No improvements here.

I'd much more prefer getting notifications about things that I've actually following rather than just a random smattering of things, also the graphics are really all that great and I would prefer to have a lot more videos on file.

I love KING 5. It's what I watched growing up. The app is great. Tried a different news outlets app and when I clicked on the notifications, it never took me to the article. It just brought up the first page I saw when installed. THIS app is flawless so far. 👍

New app is too hard to navigate and format is confusing. Remember the old addage Keep It Simple? Your app is not simple. Kiro 7 app is nice and simple, its now my favorite app to use. From now on Ill look at your app last, if I have time. 10/26 App is still too confusing, time to uninstall app and get NBC off my phone.

Love having news at my fingertips, but hate that I have to keep the app up in order to keep videos playing. Would be great if you could make it overlay like YouTube/Netflix so that you can watch while doing other things.

Politically geared to the Left. It's so obvious... I cannot read any articles on this absurd news outlet without having modern liberal favoritism being shoved down my throat. Also... from a technological standpoint, the functionality of the app is hindered by constant ads, and is slow with glitches because of the dense use of animation.

I'm just kinda kicking back, wanting to reach out and see what's up with the world I feel so shut off from. This app is awesome! The App loads while a cool photo distracts you from chaos, then said hi! You say Hey... Smiling cause you made contact, even if it's just an apps welcome screen. Then an array of news items roll out before you in a calm manner, none feels like they really have to be clicked NOW! I don't like panic inducing drama, like some other news apps. Enjoy!

Worst news app ive ever used. Absolute garbage experience. Adds pop up you cant easily close or look past. Once you manage to find the multiple tiny X's more pop up. Good luck playing whack a mole. Oh and did i mention it crashes constantly.

This update is worse than the last! It isn't user friendly at all and takes too long to get to all stories in a specific category. There are more ads which leads me to believe that Tegna/King 5 is more interested in making money than delivering current news on a respectable platform with a user friendly app. Horrible update!

Very slow to load and change pages, it is irritating. Please bring back the old version. In the meantime I'm changing stations,!

New app is horrible. it is impossible to find things easily and quickly. My major issue was I am unable to find weather information. Make it user friendly, and I'll change my rating.

KING is my go-to source for local news, I believe they have high journalistic standards. Having the app easily accessible helps me keep up on local info that I can trust for accuracy.

I looked but couldn't find the feature. I'd like a favorite option so I can refer back to what I wanted to rewatch. Outside of that, an amazing improvement!
