King of Dragon Pass

Love the "choose your own adventure" feel of the game but with more free reign on how you want to proceed. The only gripe I might have is the replayability of the game. It would be nice to have specific scenarios to play with. Better be played on a tablet device, on a phone it's quite small and can strain to see the text and controls.

The game itself is good, but can you dev adjust the ui size? Maybe let us do it ourselves with an option settings (preferably straight from the main menu). The curious thing is the in-game manual have a big default font size, and you can zoom it in even further (not sure why one would do that). Why not implement such feature to the rest of the game? Make the event images available for zoom in while you're at it.

The game consistently crashes due to certain decisions, heroquests and raids and its anyone's guess if it will continue from before or after making the choice. Please fix. Otherwise its a 5/5 from me.

Played this on PC. Great game that catches the spirit of Glorantha setting. Lots of interesting events and choices. Game is not hard but sometimes you will have to sacrifice something to move forward.

This game is definitely not for everyone but if you enjoy text based games that have alot of detail in them and where every choice has an effect in your game then this is a game I would highly recommend!!

I love this game so much even though I've never completed it (because I keep starting new tribes). The feel is so Runequest it is astonishing but the game play is also superb from a gamers' point of view.

Games extra files will not download, it continues to say that the file wasn't downloaded correctly. Updated: this game has finally installed. It met my expectations.

At first I stayed away from this game due to issues mentioned in reviews. Decided to purchase and support developers after seeing game is being updated and fixes issued. Please continue to patch the game as necessary thank you!

Text RPG does not do justice to how great this game is. Hundreds of random events, and each one will have custom advice/reactions from each of your nobles. Dozens of places to explore across a huge map, all with unique outcomes. And a plethora of strategic decisions are competing for your attention at all times. Canmot recommend highly enough. Well worth the price and the harddrive space. There I nothing quite like it out there!

A fantastic game set in the greatest fantasy setting ever written. However this by far the worst version, the text is really like eye strainingly small with tons of empty space covering the screen, even the buttons are hard to press with how small they are. There doesnt seem to be any option to adjust any of text sizes in game though and this problem makes it very unpleasant to play.

App crashes randomly for seamingly no reason aside from that this game is an amazing build and the devs should be proud of this.

The game is great, really, there is no issue with it, it's fantastic. But the game is clearly "broken", at least on this platform, and the developer doesn't seem very interested in solving these issues. The problem is that game crashes often. VERY often. So you just open the game again, reload the save and keep playing... But sometimes it becomes extremely annoying. Please dev, fix these crashes. I will rectify my rating immediately after we get an update which fixes the crashes. Thanks.

The game itself deserves 5 stars, and is one of the best storytelling games out there. I've loved it since I discovered it on PC around 15 years ago. But this version seems almost impossible to get working. Unlike some of the other reviews, I got it working, but only after reattempting the download around 6 or 7 times and clearing the app cache once or twice. Get the GOG or Steam version and play that instead.

Great game, fun to play and great lore. If you're new to this, better read up the guide on Steam and cross-check all events on the wiki :P One big complain I have is that the game used to look fine on my older low DPI phone. But on my new 6.39 inch phone @ 1080x2340 ~403 DPI the fonts are simply too small (except for the info and manual page which is scaled up fine). Button hitboxes are small and may require multiple accurate presses to register - this is my biggest annoyance factor. The screen does not scale completely to fit the entire screen width. I tried editing some settings files under /data but no luck so far. Please consider enlarging the hitboxes, and scale everything up so that the game looks similarly as on a low resolution device, thank you.

I feel like there is real merit here, but there are just way, way, way too many design/execution flaws in the UI for me to recommend. Especially at a full 10 dollar price tag (empty text pop up boxes, or ring advisors text boxes that are half off screen, making reading a guessing game). This is common enough on a 'supported' tablet with 4:3 ratio that I got frustrated and thought of trying to get a refund. I'll try it on a 16:9 phone later, but shouldn't have to jump these hoops (the text of a text based game is important!). Also, I wish the manual was a little better. More links to key features (such as working out how magic/seasons is determined, or if there is any carry over) but my rating didn't include manual's consideration, only the clipping text.

Can't download I've tried restarting the device and reinstalling the game but it just won't load. Keep being told that some things have downloaded with errors. ++EDIT++ I managed to download after uninstalling/reinstalling about 5 times. Its fun if you like balance/management games. It allows you to play different styles and has lots of random events to mix up playthroughs.I struggled a bit with the hero quests due to having to read a lot of lore which was fun at first but got tedious.

I had to come back and give a proper review. I was able to install when I made enough room on my phone... 3x the amount it requires. The game is excellent though! Honestly worth the frustration of not being able to install it for a few days. The mythos is rich, the gameplay is unique, and the story is super interesting and personally shapeable. Only downside for me is that there are some actions that dont behave quite as you'd expect, and some RNG is rather opaque. If you're unsure, try it!

the game crashes repeatedly. it basically restarts itself, but it's way too annoying when the game is long to begin with. they're not force stabilizing in a mode. most games use a mode platform so the game is locked smoothly into the session basically putting full vacuum on the android's resources. the programmers didn't make or use a sub-platform strong enough to keep the game in session, by forced stability. they must be using a session form that isn't native enough. review upd on fix.

I'm addicted to this game, I'm going back to play some more now, bye Edit: So after multiple issues for months, there's an in app download that never finishes if you minimize or put the app on the background. If you can get past this issue, the game is insanely fun and utterly challenging to a point of masochism.

# the extra content didn't work for me first time and wouldn't restart quickly. If you have the same problem try clearing the data for the app - it worked for me # I really wanted to like this game but found the lore a bit boring and wasn't really sure what the point of it was... I played for a little while and enjoyed some of it. Might try it again at some point

I really love the atmosphere of this game. A kinda Conan style universe where gods, spirits, and chaos beasts roam. And I enjoy the text style too (atypical for me). It can feel frustrating at first not knowing if your choices will succeed or fail but the more time you put into it the more you'll get a feel for what options usher the greatest success. Highly recommend.

It's Glorantha, what else can I say apart from get it if you like the setting and stories? Hail Orlanth and Sartar!

I'm currently playing the latest update. It randomly crashes from time to time. The main one is crashing when going to thr next year. Also some events trigger on their own without the prerequisite event, example is getting the Dino mage event before getting the Triceratops event and etc. It screws with the whole pacing and wont proceed to the next event. I'm playing on the phone by the way. I haven't played the original pc version of this so I can't really compare the two. Content Update Please!

Game is not loading properly. Every time i tried it is failing. I try to load it 5 to 6;times with Wi-fi and phone's mobile data but both of them failed. I've seen this game in my brother's pc and i've wanted play on phone but saddle it took my time and failed. I was going to use refund choice but i hope the experience of others will be better.

Fantastic game. Iown it on steam as well because I wanted to support the developer. The setting is interesting and richly detailed, a bronze-age fantasy setting that's different enough from standard Tolkienian fare to be compelling. The game itself is a fun blend of roleplaying and light strategy, and unlike many games, it rewards you for putting yourself in the shoes of the characters rather than playing as someone from 21st century earth. Plus, you can acquure dinosaur cavalry.

I can't remove a star for this because it's petty but I wish this game had a volume slider. I'm finicky with my volume levels and they're different for every app. The game is an amazing text based adventure with a pretty steep learning curve. Recommended to those who enjoy reading, lore and politics.

King of Dragon Pass is an excellent game, which I first played on a PC years ago, and played on my old iPad in the more recent past. Unfortunately, I was unable to get the game to run on my Chrome Book, with the extra download required to start the game failing on each attempt.

Doesn't even work. Downloaded it, it started numerous updates, which took ages to install & kept saying it had problems downloading the files, the game shuts down continually at the main menu. Tried reinstalling and what not. Pity as it looks good, but considering other reviews here, this is a normal standard with these developers not fixing game breaking bugs.
