Kingdom Rush Frontiers

The world's most devilishly addictive defense game is back
- welcome to Kingdom Rush: Frontiers!

Tap your troops through an epic (mis)adventure as you defend exotic lands from dragons, man-eating plants, and ghastly denizens of the underworld -all with flashy new towers, levels, heroes, and more goodies to help you crush your foes to a pulp. (Don't worry, we've still got all the good ol' stuff from the last game, too. It's vintage now.)

Kingdom Rush: Frontiers packs in so much content, it's like a fully upgraded artillery blast of mouthwatering, pixelated joy launched right into your smiling little face... and it hurts so good!

It's a fun game, as is expected from a Kingdom Rush game. However, there is a dramatic difficulty curve (more like wall) that happens a few levels in, making it hard for F2P players to progress even on Normal difficulty. While it's good for the nostalgia, it's probably better to just download the free version and vibe with that. The last level is particularly difficult with the enemy completely destroying your towers constantly versus just temporarily putting them out of commission.

A game where you can pay for items to change "hard" difficulty to easy. It's balanced around this. Sure you can complete it without items but then you miss half the content. Sure you get some items with free gems but it doesn't feel like part of the game because all it's doing is essentially allowing you to change the difficulty of your chosen level without changing the difficulty. The game could have been good if there was a progression structure around items instead of a payment structure.

I've always loved the Kingdom Rush series, and I've always been good at them. In fact, I've beat them all twice over. But I don't remember Frontiers being this hard. I took a star away because I went from beating this game handily on hard to not even being able to beat levels on easy. It feels unfair that I am forced to use items. On the other hand, it's worth being frustrated over because it is a wonderful game with great graphics, sounds and gameplay mechanics.

After beating the first entry in the KR series, this is a decent sequel. Some interesting new towers, some new heroes, and new challenges. Some of the maps are a bit too busy for me (particularly near the end, where enemy synergies can leave you feeling pretty cheated) and there are a few points where the difficulty spike will have you reaching for items to have any chance of three-starring the maps. The 4 free heroes aren't particularly exciting but fine. Overall well worth the price.

Awesome game guys! I have almost completed it for the first time, and in my opinion, the levels, towers, and enemies were much more unique and interesting than in the first game. (which I have also played) A suggestion I have is to create more levels and enemies, (obviously) and to make the touchscreen controls a little easier. When I play without a flat surface for my mouse, it it extremely irritating to play with a mousepad. Otherwise, amazing job, Ironhide! I hope origins is this good!

It is pretty good game with lots of enemy types. The amount of content is worth the money i think. But i have to say that the game can be very hard, to the point where you need to watch videos that show where and what towers to build. Some levels are like that and therefor loses a star from me. Otherwise it's pretty fun experience still.

The people complaining about the difficulty have clearly never played a Kingdom Rush game (insert James Franco gallows meme: "first time?"). These games are known for being extremely challenging and it often takes multiple failed attempts to find the perfect strategy to clear a level with 3 stars. Every level CAN be beaten with no micro-transactions. It feels extremely rewarding to finally find the right combo of towers to breeze through a level. Easily my favorite series tower defense games.

I played another Kingdom Rush game that was free. It's hard to find solid tower defense games that don't shoot up the difficulty to try and get in app purchases. I I really liked the other game, but it was too short. After trying a number of disappointing free tower defense games, I finally decided it was worth the (very fair) price. And it has been! I've been able to relax and enjoy a game that doesn't punish me to try and get my money.

Everyone in the reviews saying that the game has a difficulty jump is right, but saying it's pay to win? Insane. One of the best heroes in the game is the one you start with, and the final boss can be defeated with good management. I haven't spent a dime on in app purchases, and can beat at least 80% of levels on medium with a 3 star no items. All the 1 star reviews I have seen need to realize that it's the player not the game.

Decent game. I have now played 3 kingdom rush variants, this is my personal favourite. Reasonably challenging at times. My only criticism, applies to all of the KR games, is I'd prefer to see additional levels rather than new releases. There was no need to great 3 games, they could have simply added new releases to the original also. I have no idea if these games are still being developed, I do hope so, otherwise I'll just uninstall now that I have completed them.

Another thoughtfully engaging title and a significant improvement from the original. This game is extremely challenging and is not for players looking for a casual experience. Please ignore any comments from people who say it is pay to win, it isnt, and whilst DLC enhances and customises your experience it isnt needed to beat the game.

I'm giving 5 stars cus didn't faced anny issue up to now. Just a little trouble with the video ads. When I watched about 8 video ads in a row, my game crashes and my device suffer a softlock. As a QA I'm reporting this just to improve this wonderful game.

Its ok but it's a grid game. You have to pay to play and that's after paying to install. The rounds are really long and you loose your gained experience if you die so you end up having to buy a lot. They should have chosen pay for play or pay to install but not both.

My original review of this app was harsh. The reviews seem pretty split, either people love the game or people think it's too hard. It isn't too hard; I think that the game designers need to do more work on educating the user's how to play the game. For instance, you can choose the difficulty for each level. It took me almost a week to figure that out. It's good if you can get past the frustration.

Crashes constantly. Money grab for more gems and heroes. The dev team does not care to update or do anything with this game anymore. I'd wait for a sale. Not worth the money as it is. Update: WOW it is as if, I've tried that lil trick before.. good thing I'm not waiting for new information bc I'd be screwed when it comes to you guys! But did you know the Ranger is in Kingdom Rush Legends? Only for a select few people since it's on Apple arcade. Or the fact iron marines look like candy. 🙄

I really love these games by this dev. I have played most of them before and really enjoy the strategy involved the upgrade system and the art style. The prices to buy and obtain extras seem minimal to me. Keep up the fantastic work!!!

Kingdom Rush games are great. I love the references to movies like star wars and LOTR. The microtransactions aren't too bad. I'd rather just pay one price for the game even if it's a $40 phone game if there were no microtransactions

Easily the best game in the series. The ocean mini campaign had my favorite levels ever. All the people saying this game is too hard are wrong, I completed every level on veteran without any gems. This game is great

Jad. M. May 18, 2022

I love all of the kingdom rush games, I first played them as a kid and about pooped my pants when they released on the phone. It's one of the best tower defense games I've ever played. It's so worth the money to buy them. If you aren't already sold, no big deal they have a free one to try out, that's pretty good and actually quite similar to the others.

Ale. M. May 14, 2022

The game is extremely challenging. I was able to make it all the way to the last level without paying just by grinding and earning diamonds. But the final boss is impossible to beat. Even with all the extra items, paying for a hero, trying different strategies...it just doesn't work. It's incredibly discouraging and disappointing especially since the other games are so much better.

Rya. N. May 25, 2022

Played this back in the Adobe Flash player days in my youth. Still checks out as a fun, strategic, and challenging TD. I love all of the unique features on maps and the boss battles too!

Jus. S. F. P. Apr 24, 2022

Game crashed in the middle of a level in which I had used many power-ups (bought using in-game currency that I had paid for); when I reopened the game, the items had been used, but all my progress for the level was lost.

Ben. O. Apr 16, 2022

Kingdom rush remains a fun to play game. I find it a bit frustrating that in order to unluck all the champions you will have te pay a crazy amount. Still that shouldn't stop you from playing this game

Emi. D. P. Feb 26, 2022

my favorite TD game in the series better than KR, KRV and KRO. it never gets old. frontiers has more likely to offer (sea levels, halloween stages, desert stages, tribal stages, and especially the endless waves) my hero of choice is bonehart he is simply overpowered and very fun to use. i hope you release "junkworld" here in philippines as soon as possible. keep it up ironhide studio you're one of the best game dev team ever exist 😁 (honorable mention to iron marines a great game of yours too)

Tyl. R. Mar 1, 2022

This is an awesome game first it's a nice and fair pace for a strategy game and super easy to operate second the game isn't pay to win same has very little micro transactions next it's easy lastly it doesn't have little options it has a wide range of ways you can play the game 💯 would recommend this game if you like flash/mobile/strategy games

Isa. J. Jan 20, 2022

After paying for the game you would think they would hold back a bit on the push to get you to spend real money. But no. Its actually worse. The first game felt pretty fair. Not this one. You have levels with wizards that summons infinite amount of mummies and it makes the game impossible, even on easy, unless you spend real money. Half the enemies will take more than one heart when they pass the line so that I makes your hotpoints a joke. I'm annoyed I spent money on this cash grab, don't do it
