Initially, this was a great app, but it was one i thought may too good to be true (much like MoviePass). No ads, giving out hundreds if not thousands of dollars regularly through gift cards....not really sustainable. I wish they'd just be honest and throw in the towel instead of pushing useless updates when the customer base can't do anything.
Update: Its now been 18 months since I installed this app. I have a current balance of 3300 kin, and in the past 18 months I was very lucky to grab 1 spotify gift card. Not my top choice, but it's the only one I have ever seen available. They say that they restock the gift card every few days, but that's bullcrap. A year and a half of constant checking and I've seen ONE available? Time to finally uninstall.
I've been using this app for months and while the first few weeks was great that is no longer the case. It would be great if you had the ability to cash out your earnings. it seems they now only stock a very limited amount of gift cards and with so many using the app trying to cash out the same as you makes it almost impossible to cash out. they also got rid of amazon which limits your options to cards like spotify and gamestop cards which are also rarely stocked...
Was an excellent app a few months ago but haven't received any new tasks in over a week. The spend options are horrible and small selection. UPDATE: Not getting new activities in weeks now. Keep gettimg the 🤘 Sweet! You're all done for today message instead of new activities. Unable to send help requeat because it says there was an error. Tried to send one under different issue in Help Section, received an automated reply they received it but no response since then. App needs to be fixed!!
Your app doesn't work. I get "let's earn some Kin" message and the app is grey and you can't. Days in a row. When I went to put in a trouble ticket it's oh something went wrong and it's not going through. Try again later. Tried 3x + in 30 days. I hope this gets seen as if app is blocking trouble tickets how will you ever know? Updated app: still not allowing my "suggestion" to get sent for technical issues again! So I'm posting my internal app message here in the hopes you see a big problem....
The earning activities went from daily to about once a week. The gift cards, when available, seem to drop all at once at odd hours and it's pure luck if you manage to get one. Several months ago, this was a great app; I highly recommended it back then. At this point, I would NOT recommend this app; there are much better ways to waste your time.
This app was tremendous while it lasted! As someone who does loads of surveys and whatnot to get gift cards, I was amazed by the payout here. Sadly, it really looks like that has come to an end. Offers are drying up and rewards are not being restocked. No longer worth using.
At first I got Kinit to try and get more themes for Kik, but I realized there are only two options which I could redeem points for, the cooking one is cool but I doubt I would use it for much. Some of the knowledge tests I have to google the answers to. Unfortunately I uninstalled it recently because I am unable to get ibto my account after redownloading it on my phone. Customer service has been horrible, I contacted them twice about the issue and no one has ever gotten back to me. I get this is in beta or whatever but I know this app can do better, and better customer service would be a great way to go along with being able to reset security questions, etc.
The App isn't as good as it says it is, when you get enough points and go to "Spend" option to buy stuff with your points offers disappear and never show back up for example there use to be $10 Google play card you could redeem and once i got the points to get it it disappears and never shows back up i have waited over a month for it to come back and still nothing. The only thing this app let's you get with your points is junk like "20% off" when eating at a place called "So Yummy" that lots of people never even heard of.
I primarily got this app to get gift cards using Kin. However, for the few months I've had this app the gift cards have always said they're out of stock and to "check back soon". Not once has it been in stock. Also, the only activities I can do now is the trivia. All other activities have stopped appearing and I'm assuming it's only a matter of time before I run out of trivia as well. On top of that, the Trivia often has spelling and grammar mistakes.
lost almost a thousand kin overnight without using them. when I went to see if they were used, I found that they actually lowered my skin at the Time of making the purchase of the air BnB gift card. they lowered it by exactly as many kin as I had saved up after buying it. it shows I bought the 2500 kin gift card with ~1500 kin, thus forcing me into the negative.
Got up to $10.00 twice and they erased my earning, there is never any gift card to redeem. Playing like they are some cool crypto with a bunch of wallet back up and they still steal your balance. Support does not exist they DO NOT respond to emails. Yea the points are easy but that's where it ends. Blasted app for good off phone.
The tasks are easy and visually appealing. It paid out, once. I got a $5 amazon card. Ever since that day, there have been fewer tasks. Also, lately, I have had just over 600 kin and there are no rewards except a discount on a cookbook and some air bnb nonsense. Amazon vanished from the store just as I broke 500 and Google Play has been gone forever. Not worth your time.
Nice as the concept is, it might be good if they, I don't know, *actually had gift cards in stock!* Everything is always out of stock, and when they do get gift cards in, they're gone before you can actually spend your points. You'll have better odds playing the lottery at this point. Until they get their act together, one star.
Pretty cool on questions and stuff like that but looks like a click bait almost. As soon as I got enough credits for getting a gift card they became "sold out". What are the odds... And an update: Gift cards become available but as I get into buying one message displays: "someone just grabbed the last one"... Did anyone on here actually get something from this app? So... 5 months later and still no gift cards available. Complete scam. Things like this should be banned from here.
The only thing I was chasing with this app was the $10 google play gift card. As soon as I reached 1000 kin all the offers disappeared now over 1 month ago now. I keep completing daily task and have over 2k kin, but whats the point if I can't spend it. Losing faith that there will ever be any offers. EDIT - many months later and nothing. Garbage app
I would give this app a 0 star review if I could. I have over 3200 kin and I am never able to get a gift card or use my kin on anything in this app. Customer service is super slow in responding to my emails. I used to get questions on a daily basis and now it is few and very far between. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your time or energy on downloading this app!
You will NEVER see gift cards/ prizes in stock. You will NEVER get to spend your points. UPDATE 08/2019: Developer responded to my review from a while back promising to improvement. They were empty promises. Still haven't seen one single gift card. KINIT is collecting MILLIONS of data points on us and we get NOTHING. App was awesome in the beginning. The store was for the first few months stocked weekly. Now it's been months since the store had anything.
So the hype on this app has reached saturation. I did an activity, and the next time I'm able to participate is in 7 days. The only spend options are for a discount on a useless cookbook, $25 Uber or $50 airbnb. I don't care for any of these services, and even if I did it would take over 18 months to accumulate enough kin to spend it at minimum.
I haven't had a new activity since early July and have sent multiple help tickets. I have tried to send a few more and now it says "It's just not happening. Try again later. My wife and I are both fed up with continuing to get daily notifications to participate in the activity when THERE ARE NONE AVAILABLE. Is this your way of running you KIN holders off? If so, it's working. I am at a deep loss and the more I get ignored, the less concerned I am with leaving the project behind.
useless. First the offers dropped to 1 a day (sometimes at half the value of the same 'experience' in the past, constantly no options for spend to the point where its out of stock more often than not (taking 4 days to restock now, up from 1-2 and they always run out every week- clearly they have no idea how to run rewards) in addition to NO SUPPORT- thats right none. the 'contact us; is just a graphic now, doesnt actually do anything just like the 'thums up' and 'thumbs down' buttons and NO ACTIVITY FOR A WEEK. yeah they say to update to make sure you get as many as possible- well aftter updating it went from 'next activity available (then the c urrent date)' to next activity available in 7 days. Shows no signs of improvement and even the devs dont seem to care- they just want to increase kins value so they tie it to a useless app
Initially worthy of its rave reviews, this app has proved to be a huge letdown. After playing daily for months I racked up $25 worth of Kin, redeemable in gift cards that I've never actually seen in stock. Recovering your account is impossible. Go find a printer or another device to scan the QR code from only to remain locked out bc the security ? answers you use for everything are apparently wrong. Oh & don't count on any help resolving your issues. No one will ever respond to your messages.
The recent changes to Kinit have made it less competitive compared to other survey based apps. Earning points has been neutered to the point where I no longer feel motivated to complete the activities. Averaging the points I earned over the last two weeks, it will take over a month of daily activities to earn $5. Simply not worth it anymore.
the first few months last year it was an excellent app. now nothing is in stock. customer service never responds, even to multiple timed out emails politely asking for a response and telling them what my issues are and how they can be understandably resolved. however they are scamming you to make money off of everything you do for them so that they can make all the money and make you think you are making money and give you absolutely nothing to spend it on while recommending more apps to download
Started off as something that you could interact with daily. While it was sometimes difficult to spend your kin, you eventually could. For the last couple months, there has been literally no activities and no opportunities to spend kin. Feels like a dead app...
Every gift card is constantly out of stock, cant use the currency in any apps I actually use, theres no point to this app. Dont make an earning app if you dont have rewards for people to earn. You can redeem one gift card of its kind per month but ive been waiting 4 months for the one I want to come back in stock and now I can buy it 3 times over (but its still not available.)
app is extremely poorly designed. freezes almost every single time I try to use it. they need to fix that and I know it's this app because no other apps I have freeze.
Kinit app just gave me a zero balance one day, after around 6 months. Help menu said to uninstall and reinstall. I did. The app will Not send me the code via SMS, so I can't complete the install process. This is JUNK! I'M I INSTALLING THIS GOOD FOR NOTHING APP. What a pathetic rip off. DO NOT USE, THEY'LL STEAL YOUR KIN :-(
I've had this app for several months and cant even use the kin lol wouldn't even rate this garbage app but have to to leave the review. The gift cards never restock and you can't even link your vent, kik, or any of the other apps they say you can use the kin on, I've tried them all its just a them earning money off you wasting your time trying to earn money on this dumb app. I still keep it hoping one day I can get that $10 google card that cost 1k kin and I have 2,5k+
App was great for a while. Multiple surveys earned a fair amount of points that could relatively quickly be cashed in for Amazon gift cards. Now though, it has been MONTHS since anything has even been in stock to cash in my points for. I have 1000s of points and literally have no way to use them. It's ridiculous. I get being out of stock for like a week or so, but it is currently been WAY too long. Also, bring back Amazon cards as an option.
