Kinomap - Indoor training videos
The popular app is taking the next step to provide sport participants with a platform that will combine kilometers of real-life footage to train indoors as if they were outside, coaching content, multi-player sessions, official indoor races and more. Kinomap is on the way to becoming a reference application for anyone looking to play a sport indoors.
If you don’t have an interactive machine, you can still activate the front-facing camera as a stride, cadence or stroke sensor. Or pair with any existing ANT+ or Bluetooth smart sensor available on the market (cadence, stride, speed&cadence, heart rate strap or chest belt, power meter…)

Thousands of videos are made at your disposal giving you access to the most popular routes, iconic climbs or just sightseeing tours. The world is yours.

The app gives you access to a set of structured workouts and interval programs.

The app is optimized on Android smartphones and tablets, but you can also do a mirroring to an external scree, using any ChromeCast key or just a basic hdmi adaptor. A remote display feature is now available, giving you the ability to display the video on any web browser by just flashing the QR code set on http://remote.kinomap.com.
Notes:
• The APP is free to download, and the free version already gives you access to all features and a set of free videos for testing with no limitation of time. A subscription may be required later on to get access to the entire eligible content and virtually travel the world.
• The current license is set for individual use at home, up to over 2.5 hours/day or 15 hours/week. For medical, corporate or commercial use, please contact us.

The concept of the App is good. However if you have an Android Device this App has issues. I have a brand new Samsung Galaxy with 8GB Ram and 128GB Storage capacity and this device cannot access all the Playlist Videos on the Kinomap App. I have had the device looked by a technician who has advised there is nothing wrong with the Galaxy is an issue with the App. The technician told me that the App requires an update for Android devices because these issues do not occur with Apple devices.
I've been using Kinomap for over 3 years now and can honestly say this is the best app out there. It motivates me to increase the amount of cycling I do due to the huge library of videos and training features, plus the community is really supportive. Superb content creators, great multiplier events and regular competitions really make for a training aid that never gets boring. The support team are really quick at responding to queries and issues are resolved really quickly.
ADVISE FOR PEOPLE WITHOUT A POWERMETER, do the challenging mode during trail!! With my setup, it is not worth to purchase the subscription. My complete setup is found in the app and it does connect (although the speed sensor is not always found via kinomap.) I do not own a power meter which causes me to ride slower in the app than I would do on my 17kg comuting bike on the same strecht of road. Accoriding to the support it should work but basically, for unknown reasons, not for me. Refund please
It simply crashes every time on my brand new Samsung S22 Ultra. My elliptical continously enters a stand-by mode waiting for the app and the session never starts. I tried everything from removing the device up to re-install the app. Gonna close my account a move to another app.
Good when it works, but crashes far too often, especially annoying, mid workout. Also UI and search can be quite slow in getting results and generally navigating the app. If an API call fails the app falls apart.
Very good app for interactive training in the comfort of your own home. Unfortunately you can't exactly travel where you like but there are more than enough videos to keep you occupied for years and I'm sure the library will expand.
This is terrible. It took me forever to get signed on. Since it would never make the connection to create an account after putting in all my data. Then finally it did after several days of trying. I have a kinetic smart. But it would never recognize it when trying to create my profile. Finally switching to ant it did. But it always now crashes whenever I actually try to use a ride. Compounding the problem it sometimes switches to french. It doesn't work at all....!!!
A long way to go, but getting better all the time! I wish the images, such as virtual course maps or workout metric images, would upload to Strava when the workout completes and auto uploads. This used to happen...kind of..., but doesn't anymore for some reason. The actual metrics are shared with Strava, which is the primary thing, just wish our shared "social page" would display something interesting about our workouts except for some text.
It's surprisingly motivating to see video but it's let down by glitches. If you use a laptop to display the video, if the laptop goes to sleep, then it resets the time to zero. The leaderboard only shows the leaders but not where I am and the people in front and behind me. Tried to report this via the app but it gave an error message. I would want this to app to work so disappointed.
Don't take out a subscription with them! I went to stop my subscription 7 months ago and got fooled into pausing the subscription for 6 months. You don't get any email confirmation at the time and you don't get any email to say your subscription has started again. It's all a con to get a little more money out of you. I asked for my money back for the unused service, they replied to the first email refusing it, but ignored the second. You can't even claim the money back from your bank as they don't use DD for their service. It comes straight from your bank account. Do not give them your bank details!
Free account is a joke: you can login that's it. Can't do anything even a free ride. After a trial full of glitches (always restarting if you switch to another app, dual screen mode support is so so, many runs lost,...) I can do nothing with the app. Subscribe 🤣
Keep getting disconnected halfway through work outs. I reload app get a few more miles then disconnect again. Have contacted support but don't reply. If I get a fix from Kinomap will remove this comment. It's all right saying " contact support for assistance " but do they ever reply ?
Aibi customer service adviced to use this app to connect to the treadmill. But it can't find the ab-t2020 model and the aibi brand is not listed in the supported brand list either... Hence one star. Change to three star after aibi customer service officer adviced to select some other brand.
When it's working it's great, when it's not it's frustrating to the point of anger. Last few weeks I've had problems with Kinomap not sharing to Strava...and today the app just keeps shutting down on me. I'm well fed up, I can tell you. If I could find another compatible app for my smartbike I'd be off 🤬
This app is great, not only you can have a real video of your favourite walk, run and other exercises, you also can check videos of other users and follow it from your own equipment as if you were there. The only thing they could improve is to allow to cast to Chromecast or other platforms.
Really good app would recommend. And great support from kinomap (thanks Anthony) when we had a subscription problem.
Glitches, looks good visually, but application needs tremendous work Update: Don't ask why, but it seems you have to install then uninstall then install and it's almost flawless (ALMOST and may only be during the paid trial) Rating it a 4 now based on usability when it is working correctly
Waste of time. Not intuitive. Should be a free trial, could not find one. Does not connect to laptop, only tablet or phone. Pairing with trainer overly complicated.
After spending loads of time sorting it out, it eventually let me run!! Then it wouldn't start...when I had actually started running. I will be uninstalling...very disappointed!!
Buggy app. Erratically asks me to sign in again. Needs more content for elliptical. Why not just use Chromecast instead of some weird remote display? Disappointing... It could be so good!
Poorly designed app and glitchy. Connection to JTX Sprint only works about 1 in 10 times, maybe bluetooth clashes but not functional for me. Shame since it would be a great feature for the treadmill otherwise
quite happy with the app, all the videos to choose from and the challenges against other users.
All great, though a small suggestion: would it be possible to see the trainings I started but never completed? Seems I can see a paused one (one, 1, uno), so I can continue but after few days I can't seem to find it either😕
Works good, i have on a tablet in front of me on a fitness bike, but what i miss is the connection with Google Fit. Any plans for that?
No experience to describe except total frustration. An app that fails to connect fully and a support that does not support. Seemingly no subscrip. cancel option!
All in all a great app. It has some awesome rides for all levels of difficulty. I hate hometrainers because they keep you staring at walls. This app takes it around the world which makes it motivating over and over again. It has had the occasional issue (high load with hiccups due to pandemic), but it got fixed by their support relatively quickly and they keep on making it better. Definitely worth the try!
Using this app purely for rowing and I love the workout videos. The one thing that is a shame is that if you're using the challenge mode, there are quite a few scores that are quite literally impossible. Nobody rows 2km in 2 minutes. But that's really the only issue I have with it. Works very well with my rower (virtu fit) and was able to link it to my Samsung smartwatch too.
