So far so good. My needs are basic and this fits the bill.
A lot of settings and support for many services, but it seems like I am not able to prevent the keyboard from showing up if a text box is selected.
Couldn't exit the app after completing the tutorial. Thankfully, I didn't set it as home. I uninstalled it by going into it's app info really fast and uninstalling it before I was redirected back to the app.
this app doesn't run until I give unlimited access to it. I don't need kioware to be able to record a video of me or call someone on the phone, I just wanted a kiosk app
Arguably one of the best kiosk software out there, sadly I can't get it to play webm and mjpeg files in the built in browser. Was hoping this would be the perfect solution for our needs.
I bought this app only to find out it doesn't support my device and they could not offer any assistance whatsoever. Disgusted.

I use 18.5 :9 device aspect ratio, and exit button combination isnt show fully

I'm using it to keep one app as my home screen on my emulator box as its great for that all it dose it launches the app retroarch so I can sit back and relax :D
They dont give you the option to uninstall, its not there, at least on tablets. Trying to deactivate/uninstall for days, had to take the tablet to a service to work on it => waste of money for a demo version. Google should remove this dangerous app from its store. Tried other apps and their settings have 'uninstall' buttons => the legal way..
Very happy with using this software for our client's tablet kiosks. Great customer service and tech support. Purchased 15 licenses that we've been using for over 6 months without issue and plan on adding more.
CANNOT LEAVE APP OR RESTART PHONE _ PLEASE REMOVE THIS FROM APP STORE - ON NEXUS 6p I don't usually write things in all caps, but your app is sooo - broken this app and method of locking down android is, tapping corners of screen does nothing nor does the exit button.. Had to do a hard reset by holding down power button and volume down just to get out of it.
it is stuck on your nag screen I tapped all four corner as animated, it pops up keyboard and closes the keyboard suddenly with message "This feature has been blocked" Now tell me how do I exit your app, it does not let me do a reboot/shutdown :( IT IS REALLY FRUSTRATING !!!

I downloaded this free trial and after the "exit" procedure failed to work, I just powered down my tablet which I just bought for my new business. When I powered it back on, it won't even load. It completely shut down my tablet and I can't get it off!!
I cannot exit single app mode with firefox. I have followed all of the instructions a hundred times. There is no visible exit button. I have tried every possible sequence of touching the corners. I have touched every inch of the screen 4 times in an attempt to find the invisible button. Nothing works. I cannot uninstall it from the play store either. Trying this app is costing me a lot of time and effort. Not to mention a functioning version of it is really expensive! This app is far from free. If you are going to call it "free" you had better make the "free" version actually usable. Crippling it so that it is not actually functional for its intended usage is misleading. Also, the rules interface for allowing/blocking domains and resources if very difficult to use and not intuitive. I have been working with firewall and security software rulesets and regex's for years but I had an extremely difficult time getting this app to do what I want. It does have pretty icons and appears full featured. Unfortunately, it seems to broken to use.
Such a fully featured product it will take a while to fully test but works brilliantly on everything I've looked at so far.
I am curious about how you launch your app even though user has not selected your app as the launcher app? Or are you just adding your blocking activity on top of all back stack?
I work for ADSI doing Kiosk consulting on the PC platform and have been making the transition to the Android version for the past 2 months. I can honestly say It's a stable platform that provides all the functionality I come to expect from the PC version. Any one that is considering an Android based kiosk release should do themselves a favor and give it a try.
I have been having issues with the licenses. The Kioware config app does not open, it shows a black screen and exits to the desktop/tablet's home screen. I thought that reinstalling the app would help me fix this, but to no avail. Next after a few days, on a random try, the config app did open and when I tried to use the transaction number to regain my license, it says that the transaction doesn't have anymore license. You have got to pair the license with a device uuid that does not change between installations on any given device. Doing so, I can use my transaction for licensing a device after uninstall/reinstall procedure. I am sure I have lost a minimum of 2 licenses from my transaction because I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. Need help.
Do not install this thing. Locked me out of my device. Luckily a forced reboot got me back in. Uninstalled immediately. Wow!!
almost risked my locked down to the trial app. The provided log out function doesn't work.
Can't even read the licence without a pop up, then I could not close the app until pop up timed out.
It allows either a webpage, or a slideshow or access to 1 Android app. I needed dedicated access to 2 or 3 apps.
Was able to download and begin configuration before even purchasing it. Huge plus! I was able to get it working almost exactly the way I wanted in a very short amount of time. When I was satisfied with how the product worked after some testing I purchased the licensing, and deployed about a dozen employee timeclock kiosks at my company using this software. Locks down the tablets perfectly and keeps them limited to the employee timeclock web portal. I added a nice attract screen for when the device isn't in use, which looks great! Highly recommend the product!
