the camera or picture taking function needs options. took eight tries to get a viable photo. the one i took using phones camera app were perfect but there doesn't seem to be a way to upload from phone storage. I haven't needed to use the photo deposit feature anymore as, and this option was available all along, I can deposit checks, or cash at another credit union that os in the network(is that the correct name?). Anyway, works much better for me.
This has gotten combersome. The picture taking for depositing checks has gone verticle and hard to center. It takes forever to get the okay. I have had trouble getting my loan payment made because some update changed things so I couldn't transfer the payment. This in turn caused me late fees and time on the phone trying to straighten things out...... Which didn't help. I used to be a fan. Not so much now.
The app is ok now that I can finally get into after the last year of not having access... Depositing my own check took way longer than it needed too... You'd think it would be easier but it still has problems but unlike last time I was actually able to deposit so it's getting there. Would be way easier to do over the phone if there wasn't a fee to do anything over the phone.
Best bank ever!!! I moved out of state a few years back and left as I wanted my bank to be closer. Since then I was able to get back with kitsap credit union and started using the app and it is like I have the bank on my phone... they have atms I can use all over with no service fee. I live in Florida and they still keep my money safe and mobile deposits are very easy and have never had any problems (my phone does but the app is never at fault)...
Very convenient app! Pretty much can do EVERYTHING that you ever need to do that is banking related...transfer to other accounts, send money to other people, check balances or transactions...list goes on and on! There are even a bunch of other conveniences and tools offered on the app that I haven't used yet. Thankyou KCU!
Won't allow me to change any info, making transfers, returns errors that make no sense ("Your information couldn't be updated but was saved"), will not sync with website (updated email on website, app still says my primary is an email I've never had). Horrendous experience with app and CU, so far.
The app takes a while to login after entering my stuff which wouldn't be a problem, but I just switched banks and my last one was instant loading in. And the mobile deposit is not the greatest and keeps on telling me to hold steady and reduce angle even when I get both the check and phone level.
I hated the talking that they added to the apps last version during check deposits, AND NOW YOU HAVE MADE IT EVEN MORE ANNOYING. INCLUDING A POP UP SCREEN WITH INSTRUCTIONS AND THEN HAVING THE APP YELL AT YOU THE SAME INSTRUCTIONS! THEN IT NOW HAS AN AUTO MODE THAT KICKS YOU OUT OF DEPOSIT SCREEN IF YOU DON'T! I CAN READ THE DIRECTIONS SO AT LEAST MAKE IT SO I CAN TURN IT OFF! It is more distracting having the voice directions blaring at you! Seriously thinking of changing banks it's so annoying
Well with what I had to do when there was fraud in my account caused me to lose everything and I'm still at risk. And the prosecutor stole my case and gave me a faulty advocate so I haven't gotten any help and my daughter has special needs. That and the loss of half my income during a pandemic pretty much took us out of The game of Life. And it would have been nice to have some back as my issue started with the late fees recurring and the return checks on a fixed budget.
The check deposit interface is atrocious. No ability to tap to focus, the audio is loud and jarring with no off option, and it doesn't flip to the direction of auto-rotation.
Auto-picture is too quick, takes the picture while I'm still moving the camera to center the image. Also wondering, since I endorsed it for mobile deposit only, could I not take it to the CU and deposit it in person, if I'm not able to use the phone for some reason? It's awfully fussy about the pictures, and it's not obvious where the frame is relative to the check. My hands are a little shaky, too, so I'll have to arrange some sort of stand for the phone. All in all, somwhat of a pita to use.
I LOVE Kitsap Credit Union! Super disappointed in their app and online banking in general. You have to have an individual login for each account and can't view all accounts at one time. Coming from another credit union with poor customer but awesome app and website service to Kitsap's super star service with an unfortunately lacking app is a tough call when easy access to my accounts is priority.
Constantly having to request a new password to be sent because they can't seem to register my phone on their site. App stopped sensing anything I keyed in, including the codes. Employee blamed it on Verizon. None of my other banking apps seem to have this issue. So aggravating.
Some basic information such as routing number or account numbers are not readily displayed or identifiable. Response time is significantly long when using the chat feature. It took me 20 minutes to verify the correct routing number and account number. The app also had repeated difficulty processing mobile deposits.
Horrible! The app is the worst ever for a person who likes to pay there Bill's on time or even before time. I like to pay early or just throw extra money at my car loan, it's so difficult with this app just to do that, I almost hate I refinanced because capital one made it so easy to pay my notes...I just tried to pay some money right know on the web payment center, and guess what server error!!! I will never deal with kitsapp credit union again. How you make it hard for people to pay you???
This is the worst banking app I have ever used! I can't even make my car payment on the app because I have a different bank. They make you go through the website to transfer money into the savings account from my outside account, and then it makes you wait 5 days until it's even available. I had no idea that I would have so much trouble with KCU and their bs app and website. It's 2021, get with the program and make it so you can make a payment directly to an auto loan account. Unhappy!!
Check deposit software is troublesome on my Android device. Photo capture doesn't always allow a horizontal picture view. So it doesn't read the check, then logs me out of the app, so I have to attempt multiple times.
Please do away with the auto picture taking when depositing checks. I had to do the front and back pictures 2 dozen times to get it right. The app keeps taking the pictures before you have the check centered. Highly annoying.
My federal stimulus check bounced! I tried depositing it in the local branch, wait, you closed that a few years ago. But I did try depositing it into the new cash machine but that is missing. So I went mobile and it bounced because apparently it didnt like my endorsement - Sorry, i have arthritis - my handwriting is compromised. Honestly, how many times has this bank ever been challenged on an endorsement? My guess is zero. Not happy today but it's not that big of a deal. I'm just sharing
The check deposit is nearly useless. IT takes the picture in a small window then tells you it can't read the signature (corporate). Either let me take the picture or use better recognition software. Fifteen minutes is twelve minutes longer then necessary. My wife's bank only takes thirty seconds.
Easy money transfers, bill pay, and account history. Easy to post a check. Great tool, I only wish it had the same information that is on the web page such as the posted routing number lol.
Easy. Improvement needed: provide ability to enlarge view of check when making mobile deposit. Cell phones are too small to clearly view the photo of check when app asks if the date is clearly visible.
Very simplistic and convenient to use (covers everything need). I've only used the check deposit once, and it was a 'snap'. Perfect for the technology challenged like myself:)
Won't return phone calls, forgot to set up appointment, keep accidently blocking transactions so I constantly have to call to fix stuff. Hold times are unbearable, some times I don't even get to someone, the call just ends. Now if I try to view a statement it says error and tries to log me out, or if I transfer money, of if I look at any document at all in the app. I have issues all the time transferring money "We are having issues, please try again later" And I can't even check my statements
