App does not work on my Samsung Galaxy S10+. It tries to load, then displays a message saying it cannot load my recent flights and closes. Makes it difficult to use when ypu cannot launch it.
Just downloaded it on my pixel 5 running Android 12. It allowed me to do the initial set up/ log in, but now if I try to open it it crashes immediately and is unusable. I deleted and redownloaded with the same results. Looks really cool from the quick flashes of it on the screen. Assuming I just need to wait for an update?
App crashes on pixel 5a 5G. I was able to register and log in but then the app crashes. And after that it crashes immediately whenever it's started. Clearing the app data allows me to go through the sign in process again but then it crashes again.
This was a great app and my go to for LAANC authorization and airspace checks. Unfortunately this app no longer works with my pixel 3a and android 12. It just crashes after the latest update. Good thing I had finished my mission prior to updating.
Kittyhawk was great. I never had any problems with it. Aloft won't even open on my Samsung s21 Ultra. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache. It crashes before it can even open and I can't find any maps on the new website. I loved Kittyhawk. It was hands down the best app out there for drones until now. I'm having to switch to Airmap until this gets straightened out. Disappointing.
Useless as the DJI app now, app will always struggle to connect to drone and when it finally does allows the drone to go up about 50 feet and then goes to autoland, even with LAANC. It shouldn't be this difficult.
This app has always served me well for LAANC authorizations and general information. Unfortunately it has been unusable since the Android 12 update on the S21 series, and B4UFLY (which is powered by Aloft) has recently started working again, which signifies the developers are a little behind in bug fixes. I can't put too much blame on them as it's difficult to account for all the different versions of Android, I just hope it's up and running soon as it's my go-to app for sUAS flights.
Just installed on Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Trying to add my DJI Phantom 3 standard is impossible. First, the initial screen (kind of aircraft) is blank. Tapping randomly gets through. Second, once I get to the list with my drone, every time I get to the bottom, it jumps back up to the top before I can make a choice. Additionally, if I change my phones orientation it resets back to the initial screen. Kind of a disappointing first experience.
Great when it works. I am on a note 10+5G and it has been crashing immediately after opening. I use this drone for my business and between this and DJI not fixing their app I'm out money.
It's showing non existing authorization zones and generating unknown error preventing me from take off. I was able to fly just fine before installing this app
App is great, but I get logged out of Aloft every other time I open it. Extremely annoying while on a shoot.
EDIT: You responded to my review telling me to update, because you fixed it. No. The update is what broke it. There is no pending update showing on my phone. Immediately crashes when opening. Pixel 5, Android 12. Will update review when fixed.
So far so good. I set up a flight neat a playground ,which falls within the authorization zone of a small airport and I believe the Aloft app quickly got me authorized for a flight in two days. Can't wait to take a flight.
Does what I need it do do, which is show me where I can fly my drone and give me authorization when applicable. Far as I know, it's the easiest and most reliable for those two things.
Kicks out all the time. I have to login several times a day. I use a Google Pixel 5 and have uninstalled and reinstalled several times.
Overall a pretty good app. One really limiting factor for those that hold a Temporary Airman Certificate is that the input box for entering your certificate number for LAANC authorizations pops up the phone dial pad (on Android) making it impossible to enter "Pending" for the certificate number. UPDATE: Entering 0000 as suggested by the publisher works. There's still an issue though because on android that field pops up the numeric keypad and you can't enter alphabetic characters.
Super easy to use the app and submit laanc forms. Takes about 20 seconds. I contacted customer service when it wouldn't let me submit laanc forms and came up with a weird error and Brad informed me of an outage with the FAA and their automation system for approving laanc forms. He also gave me a link I can check with the outage status and kept in touch the entire time until the system was back up and running. So their customer service is 5 stars as well!
Impressively designed, looks beautiful, all the info you need right there on the dashboard. Even has all the weather info plus sunrise sunset times so no more multiple apps and asking google what the current wind speed is. DJI integration is also included. I'm fairly new to the drone scene but it seems this is the app to have. 5 stars, highly recommend.
can not get LAANC authorization cuz I can't verify phone number. Won't send me a code. Edit 1/31 I was able to get sms code and app is working great!
Works ok. It's not intuitive to view the actual authorization nor will it send you a copy of authorization like Airmap does. It wont take temporary 107 lisence either like Airmap. Also not compatible with Android 10. If you get stopped you have to land and show them the app to get the FAA confirm. It would be nice if you could view future flights in a more coherent manner
Limited functionality and appears to only allow flight planning when on site. Only works with DJI drones, which are Chinese made. Not worth using.
This app is trash. Tried to integrate with dji account and app freezes. Restarted phone, cleared app cache, uninstalled and reinstalled app, cleared memory, changed to stick theme, you name it, i did it. The only thing this app is good for is current conditions where I'm standing - that's all, that's it. i got uav forecast for that.
Crashes as soon as I open. Used to work fine until few days ago. Update: it works now.
App crashes before it can open after updating to Android 12 on a Samsung Galaxy z fold 3.unable to use at all
Used it for quite a while but within the last 3-4 months on my Pixel 4a 5G, I have not been able to log in. When I try, it says "unknown error, please try again later." It's been months... I've uninstalled and reinstalled. The app is up to date. It's frustrating as I only use this for my drone and I can't fly without authorization.
